Well it looks like you have s-off so you're 80% there already, check the wiki for rooting the vision and the desire z bootloader you're looking for is there along with instructions to flash.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App

You can easily flash an eng hboot via gfree (using the -b option)
You don't need eng hboot to flash a new radio though, if you download the radio from the radio thread as a PC10IMG.zip, you can just put that on the root of your sd card and flash it via ship hboot.

i was just looking at this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Vision#What_Missing_2GB.3F, i suppose i just go and do the hboot bit plus 4a. and so on?
i was interested to flash Virtuous G-Lite and the radio that recommended are in img files...

Nevermind...

ok so i think i need.
HTC Desire Z: vision.hboot-0.84.2000.zip (md5sum 2CE1BDD5E4C1119CCFCECB938710D742)
then "$ adb push hboot-eng.img /data/local/tmp/"
# cd /data/local/tmp
# ./busybox md5sum hboot-eng.img
# ./busybox md5sum /dev/block/mmcblk0p18
is this correct?
can anyone advice me?

That is the correct hboot, and that will give you the md5's for your ship hboot (line 3) and your engineering (line 2). Write those down, it's how you see if the push was successful. If for some reason after attempting to push the new hboot your md5 of mmcblk0p18 doesn't match either, stop, DON'T REBOOT and run for help to #G2ROOT on freenode. Those guys there are great and will help you

[Q] Need help loading new RADIO on DZ

Hey all, hope you can help me out. I've done lots of reading and I can't figure it out.
I'm running CM7 currently and want to upgrade the RADIO from 26.03.02.18 to 26.06.02.27.
I'm rooted, S-OFF and CIDNUM=11111111, and I've loaded the Eng H-boot 0.84.2000
Boot loader screen output:
VISION PVT ENG S-OFF
HBOOT-0.84.2000 (PC1012000)
MICROP-0425
RADIO-26.03.02.18_M3
eMMC-boot
I got the 26.06.02.27 RADIO image from cyanogenmod wiki page.
The android-info.txt within the PC10IMG.zip contains the following:
modelid: PC10*****
cidnum: 11111111
mainver: 1.19.531.1
hbootpreupdate:13
When I place the PC10IMG.zip file on the /sdcard and fastboot it just boots with lines "no image or wrong image". It never detects the PC10IMG.zip file in order to upgrade the radio.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm all out of ideas.
Thanks.
Use this link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970809
rename the downloaded file to PC10IMG.zip and place in the root of your SD card.
Actually I just got it done using the flashboot from android sdk. I just extracted the radio.img from the ZIP file and did the following...
1. get fastboot/Android SDK on your PC
2. reboot your phone to bootloader -> fastboot
3."fastboot flash radio R:\radio.img"
worked like a charm..
thanks for your response.

And your fastboot/hboot does say something like aplpharev on the top? If that is the case it will also work if you do it right when booted into fastboot. I might be able to guide you through it.
If that is not the case, something is wrong, and you will need to run alpharev again.
I also dont get how your cid can be 11111111, as that definitely does not look right. Try booting to fastboot and run "fastboot oem boot" and write the cid it throws out it should be something like HTC_Y13

cursor down to 117 lines, where it is written PB9920000 remove zeros that would get PB992
Hit Shift colon and write wq

Edit :O.K I figured it out !!!!
after I changed the num to PB992 I pushed Shift+Z
and I wrote :" ./ alpharev.sh "and Enter
It start all over from the begining and its all working good now.
Thank you very much...
His phone is s-off alright, but it has somehow been delivered that way, so you have got a phone, which were meant for development or a store demo device(have seen the same issue on store demo devices).
The problem is, that this is real s-off, which means it's set by a flag on a low level of the nand, so he still has the original bootloader, which doesn't support fastboot commands. And because it's a development device it's got cid 11111111, which is wrong and makes alpharev recognize it as a different/non existing device. You should be able to flash it in another way because as you are s-off, you can make the recovery ask the bootloader to flash low level stuff like splash, and the bootloader is s-off, so it shouldn't check for anything. You might need some specialist aka the ones from alpharev though if they are interested in helping you.
edit: As it is s-off it might very well be able to flash one of the pb99img.zip files containing the alpharev hboot found on the alpharev site because it will accept them as if they were from HTC, so just put them on the sd-card with the right name and reboot to the bootloader. This way you might be able to activate fastboot commands, and start flashing the same way we do. This requires that those images will work normally on your phone, so i would still ask the alpharev guys so you don't risk a brick.
i agree with mortenmhp asking alpharev is probably the best idea
shift colon is probably :
in the editor vi you use ":wq" to tell the programm to save stuff and exit the editor
How can I make contact with alpharev ?
I didn't understant how to use the IRC...

What about If it says ACE PVT ENG S-OFF, you have ENG S-OFF, go to System info
where i found it ?

Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App
Checking the device state:
- Go to the bootloader (turn fastboot off, turn off phone, hold vol- and power)
- If it says ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF in the first line, your device is Radio S-OFF
- If it says ACE PVT ENG S-OFF, you have ENG S-OFF, go to System info
- If system info CID is 11111111, your device is SuperCID
- And if you can verify either Radio S-OFF or SuperCID (and you did both), it worked fine and you have both of them
- You can check your original CID by going to radio tool folder with cmd and typing: "adb shell getprop ro.cid"

[Q] Rooted or not

Hi all, I followed the step in strawmetals guide to root, s-off, and debrand htc DZ. I am not sure if it worked. Android down grade appeared to work but how do I
1. Tell if I am perm rooted?
2. Confirm S-OFF?
3. Confirm Debranding?
In device settings I have,
Android Ver 2.2
Build Ver. 1.34.405.5
If your phone is on and you see superuser app its rooted. As far as checking soff and debrand boot into bootloader. There are commands to run with adb that tell u all that as well. They are usually included in guides
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
Boot loader method: boot your phone to boot loader (power off, hold power on and down volume)
Edit: remember to remove any PC10IMG.zip from your SD card.
you will see
PVT ENG S-OFF
H BOOT 0.76.200
Then choose from menu chose Bootloader => System Info
you will see, at near bottom CID 11111111
Then you're ENG S-OFF, perm root, SIM unlocked
gfree method
extract this in to your adb folder http://www.thinkthinkdo.com/trac/project1/raw-attachment/wiki/gfree/gfree_verify_v01.zip
run:
$adb push gfree_verify /data/local
$adb shell
#su
#cd data/local
#chmod 777 gfree_verify
# stop ril-daemon
# ./gfree_verify
You will get
gfree verify_cid returned:
@CID: 11111111
gfree verify_secu_flag returned:
@secu_flag: 0
gfree verify_simlock returned:
@SIMLOCK= 00
I did not try the gfree verify myself so I cannot recommend it, try at your own risk. I recommend the bootloader method because it's easier and you don't have to run any code.
Please click thanks if this helps.
Edit: at this point, you should start to happy flashing I would recommend Adromadus Audacity Beta 2

Sorry, but this isn't right. That just shows you have S-OFF and SuperCID. It doesn't say anything about whether you have root access or not (which the Superuser app can tell you, or running an app that needs root, or trying to "su" in Terminal Emulator). For instance, you can be S-OFF but running a non-rooted stock ROM.
SuperCID is completely separate from SIM unlock.
gfree_verify can show you the SIM unlock though, as you said.

You have S-OFF, SIM unlock and SuperCID. That doesn't show whether you are rooted or not, but that setup means you can flash a pre-rooted custom ROM, or alternatively you can root another ROM that is rootable and your root will be permanent (since you have S-OFF).

I can't find a guide to get my S-OFF, all of them fail. I tried too with VISIONary+ r14 and keep frozen on black screen when i attemp to temproot.
Followed this guide to get temporary root. Writing on cmd "adb shell" at last step I got "$" and cant do the downgrade. I have made my Goldcard too, but nothing works...
Please, tell me what should i do, i just want RADIO S-OFF and then i will be capable of root or whatever i like =). Thanks to all anyways.
S-Off takes a great deal of skill now that AAHK is retired. You can still unlock the bootloader though.

The answer is already above you from Mortal Eternity.

At last i got root, S-OFF SIM-Unlock and SuperCID
Just for DHD devices with Android 2.3.5, Sense 3.0, and Build version 3.x!!
Step by step:
0.- (ON YOUR PHONE) "Settings option -> Applications -> Development -> Check the box for USB Debugging to turn it on
1.- Upgrade HBOOT to 2.00.0029
- Download the HBOOTupdate 2.00.0029 (rom.zip) and put it on your C:/ drive.- Download the HBOOTUpdate kit, extract it, and run "hboot update by behtash.bat". Wait until hboot flash complete.
2.- Unlock your BootLoader
- Simple as following HTCDEV steps
3.- Flash CWM Recovery
- Download the Recovery Kit, extract it.- Download the SU flashable.- Put the SU flashable on your SDCard- "Only Charge" mode again and run "flash recovery.bat". Wait for it flash the recovery.- Reboot your phone to Bootloader Screen, go to the recovery and flash now the SU.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once here you gained root access, the next steps are to get S-OFF, SuperCID, and SIMUnlock.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.- Flash a new Boot.img
- Download the UpdateBoot Kit, extract it- Run the "flash boot.bat".
5.- Get S-OFF, SuperCID, and SIM Unlock
- Follow the high-level DHD/Inspire manual S-OFF hack concept for advanced users.
All this stuff is a compilation of multiples guides, thanks to all for the support. Good luck with your DHD.

My issue is that i can't get the identifier token, because I can't update to 2.00.009, because I can't make a gold card.

I'm about to pull my hair out, this is so effing stupid. I keep getting stuck at step 1! I have a goldcard and it still wont update to 2.00.0029! I run the update tool, then when I go to fastboot it still says "2.00.0027" at the top. What am I doing wrong?
Read carefully : the unlockable bootloader update would seam to be region specific to make and model of phone, there are about 4 or 5 different versions on the htcdev website, please check the correct model and region of phone first...
Here's an idea try the PD98IMG.ZIP in this post, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40498764 it is the hboot 2.0.29 update you use via direct bootloader flashing.
