Differences between 7712 and RTM 7720?? Post your experience - Windows Phone 7 General

as the title says, anyone who has upgraded Mango beta 2 to RTM 7720. Have you noticed anything different? Speed, features, stability etc.? lets use this thread to post our experiences (still havent done it yet, but will report once i do)
cheers

thanks for putting up this thread, im looking for some differences as well.
I haven't upgraded yet to the leaked mango, it is tempting, but I`d rather wait for the official rom for my trophy.
from what I heard the 16bit color banding is still present, and no hidden wifi connectivity, and IE9 HTML5 performance is not yet optimized to 50fps due to the generic drivers used by the rom, instead of using the drivers specifically designed to the particular device, and this [maybe] why the 7720 is still in carrier/OEM testing.

The only so far is the maps, that were not working in brazil.

By maps do you mean turn by turn navigation? I haven't really tried this in 7712 (btw im back to nodo 7392) all i know is that it can route locations and stuff, but not voice navigation.
Some says TBT is region dependent like Bing LS and Audio.

I dont know im not really seeing what the differnce is either they could have at least let you change alert tones you can set parameters for wifi connections other than that unless im missing it not even seeing what the update was for.

i haven't really seen anything different from beta 2

- not for retail gone.
- transitions when switching pages seems smoother
- linkedin contacts now showing on people hub live tile

IE9 now earns 141 points (7712 - 140) in HTML5 Test

By maps i mean i couldnt even find a place here. Now I can
But no turn by turn..

I found the HTC Apps in Marketplace is now working.

only found "not for resale" disapears

Exiting Bing Vision with the back button no longer freezes for a second as it did in 7712. Now there is an animation of the Bing page sliding down.

People Hub is changed. Twitter integration is now completely functional, so is LinkedIn as mentioned. Contacts show up and auto link where able to. Instead of having to go to individual posts on different services, you can now click the post and pivot to see the replies on different services. Phone is faster. Keyboard bug is fixed where it wouldn't automatically capitalize the first word of texts in messaging hub. Lock screen delay is gone on my HD7. Battery calibration seems a little more accurate, at least for me. Before, if you hit the search button in the Phone to search contacts, but backed out, the bottom buttons wouldn't reappear, this is fixed. Bluetooth is more consistent for me, it doesn't drop, it did on the previous build, often. Tiles no longer "bleed" and flicked through lockscreen for me. I know I found more fixes and features, but this is all I remember off the top right now.

also switching orientation has a different effect especially the people tab

i updated to 7720 yesterday and i think the lock screen is a bit different, the time and data shows up like an smooth animation (fade in) effect. i dont know if this was in 7712???

The time and date fade out has been in place since NoDo

I've just noticed it being a little smoother and boot up showing "not for Resale" is gone. It broke my sideloading tho, so I guess that's something

better battery life and increase in overall performace

Did anyone with mango update can confirm if Arabic is now read correctly on IE9? RTL issue

There have definitely already been minor OTA updates

Heya all,
I haven't seen anyone talking about this, so on the tiny chance that nobody has realised, my HTC Mozart at least has had minor updates. I noticed this after not using XBox live for a few weeks: before my break, when accepting friend requests, it would take me out of the app and into the web browser, whereas now, it lets me manage them from inside the app. A version number now also comes up in the bottom right of the connection loading screen, which didn't happen before.
Any other evidence of minor updates anywhere?
Alex
It was an app update to the Xbox live extras add on. NOT an OTA update

I used to be able to make email folders, and have made a few in the beginning, but now the ability has been removed.
I no longer get the garbled screen or random resets on my hd7, marketplace is also much more stable

This is an eye opener

it's an opinion column (if you can call it that) and not much more. the slow and cumbersome behemoth needs a good deal of time to get up to speed. i'd give them credit for the 1.0 release of wp7. sure, there were some really really face-palm points that were missed, and they attempted to lock it down in an even more incredibly stupid way than apple... but it was a major release.
the problem with 1.0 major releases is:
promising the world, then backpedaling
promising really awesome updates, with all that stuff the other guys have been doing for x years
promising not to fragment (everyone fragments, even apple)
comparing a 1.0 to another 1.0 is fun, and makes for flamewars, but it's not really productive. if company A's 1.0 was released 5 years ago, company B should ALREADY KNOW WHAT SUCKS AND WHY from company A's mistakes and shortcomings. M$ has some really really smart people working there, must just be the management that effs it up.
with the exception of the marketplace bug, what did MS need to fix (from a stability standpoint)? You'll see apple's first couple of updates were bug fixes.
I'm not in any hurry, and if you are, you shouldn't have jumped on the bandwagon at launch.
I'm not either. It's just a bit confronting, that's all.

Camera settings not saving for one. Facebook synced contacts still showing up over bluetooth. Ability to disable camera shutter sound. Alarms "disabled" if headphones plugged in. No address bar in IE landscape.
There are plenty more which could be considered actual bugs. I'm not expecting new features to be pushed weekly, but see no reason why bugfixes would not be. Especially very basic ones such as the camera settings not saving - this has been the number one gripe since launch and afaik there has been no official word from MS regarding this (apart from their user-manual changing to make it sound like a "feature" rather than a "bug"), the same goes for Facebook contacts showing up over BT.

Apparently not there so you can get screen estate.
I am sure that Microsoft will squash most/all of the bugs in this coming update, which happens to be OTA.

Yeah, and I agree with that - I don't want the address bar showing up constantly. I actually don't want it showing up in portrait mode all the time either.
But this has been done before - there are plenty of good solutions out there for hiding the browser address bar when in landscape.

I think a browser update might enable the option to hide the address bar or make it show up will be available in the upcoming future.
About the article, it looks like Microsoft only needs one update to solve the security of the OS. Microsoft does not need to roll out hundreds of tiny updates a year unless completely necessary.

Perhaps you can't read, he said "from a stability standpoint" not your personal preferences or annoyances. Those are not bugs, they're quirks.
Oops, disregard, wrong thread.

Like/Dislike from WP 7.5 in terms of laggyness and requiring more finger tapping...

Dislike:
1. People Hub
1. Pinning recent contacts
In the nodo build, it used to show individual contacts being animated then goes to homescreen but now only the whole screen is being animated then goes to homescreen.
2. Going back to start screen from People Hub
In the nodo build, it used to show individual texts or contents being animated from the bottom to top as it goes to homescreen. Not the case in the new updated version.
2. IE browser
1. More finger tappings
Can't directly access add favorites, favorites, and tabs in the new update. Sometimes i hit other functions and it frustrates me. I wish they could somehow still let us to have address bar and shortcuts to favs and tabs on the bottom by... maybe swipping the address bar sideways to access to the tabs and favs shortcut?
2. Going to the fullscreen
In nodo build, you could go to fullscreen in landscape mode with no address bar. In the new update, the address bar is now on the bottom, wish there was an option to hide it automatically
3. Animation when going to landscape mode
Not as slick as nodo build
4. Pinch and Zooming
It is nanoseconds unresponsive when compared the Nodo build
3. Zune
1. Accidental taps
Sometimes i accidently tap play smart dj mix when i was going for add to now playing
4. Xbox Live
1. Although this is con and pros at the same time, when i scroll through, it lags when my avatar shows up. Could this be the sign of having an outdated cpu/gpu snapdragon 1st gen or Microsoft were too lazy to optimize the hub?
Like:
1: Camera
No more laggyness when going from camera mode to the picture i just took!
2. People/Picture hub
1. More individual layers are being animated when opening these hubs! It looks sick!
2. Picture hub from the start screen now shows your pictures and they are alive! Though it just shows static picture from the start screen if you manually set the picture as a background in the Picture hub =[
3. Live Tiles
1. Live tiles for contacts and me hub flip instantly when there there are new updates! No more waitings for them to flip!
2. Lives tiles no longer disappear when i try to unpin my fav apps in start screen. This is great if you want to unpin multiples apps!
So what do i think of the new update? I love it! I still don't get why the animation lags when i go into the landscape mode in Bing? If Microsoft could fix those laggs from Bing and Xbox Live, and let us have the address bar and favs & tabs shortcuts on the bottom in the browser, i would be happier!
Feel free to leave comments if i am misinformed or whatever!
I'm actually ok with the Mango update. I never experienced Nodo, I had a HD7 when WP7 first came out, and I just picked up one off of CL for $80usd. It was a virgin HD7, no updates or anything. So I see why the guy hated it.
One thing I just hate, damn near everything is locked into Portrait mode!
On the HD7, with its LED, why must I constantly check the phone to see if I have a notification.

This is the one thing that bothers me about the OS, and I think you'll agree I'm a dedicated supporter in Microsoft, Metro, Windows Phone, and W8... But I think they need to include an LED notification system. Does every phone have an LED? Because I'm starting to wonder if the OEMs are the ones responsible for including this and just haven't.
WP needs to have a one button tap to reach the keypad phone dialer instead of two taps. When you hit the phone tile it should bring up the dialer instead of the recent call history

I would absolutely HATE that.
I almost never physically punch in a number to call someone. Making the phone tile point at the dial-pad would mean that, almost every time I open that tile, I would have to use an additional tap to get out of the dial-pad and go somewhere that's actually useful.
Maybe have the option to pin the dialer to the homescreen, but don't make it the default behavior.

The call history is useless unless the person there actually took or received a call from you. The only other tab is... Voicemail.
People requires another tap. Dialer requires another tap. These are smartphones. It shouldn't be a ***** to get to the dialer. The dialer should be the default view. I'm surprised people think its cool to hide the dialer on a smartphone, and not give an option to set the default view. Going straight to history is retarded.
This is the first phone I've owned that actually made it harder to place calls.

But you have to remeber the main purpose of the device
---------- Post added at 01:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:13 PM ----------
Along with one touch to dialer keypad, I would like a better browser, multi select text messages, Video calling intergrated into OS instead of a Third party app, new hardware to the table such as solar power to help charge the battery on the go, LED notification a standard on all devices, ability to turn on/off new text message prompt onscreen, ability to access a mini menu to toggle airplane mode, vibrate, wifi when u touch them at the top of your screen. file explorer at least for the memory card, would be nice for the device also, Would like to see lanscape capabilities for the homescreen and throughout the OS. Innovative exclusive apps for WP7.
WP7 needs to bring something very unique to the table, something that sets it apart from its competition. I like how Apple used Siri to drive the sales of its phones, people saw that and went crazy. WP needs to take t aht same approach to drive sales.

did you try surfcube 3d browser?
it's actually quite good.
As far as the whole "main purpose of the device" thing, the main purpose is not to cater to how you individually think the Os should work...
Many people probably like how it is set up
i tried using surfcube when it first came out, didnt really like it. I just need something simple.
I really enjoyed when my coworker that was debating against iOS and WP7 stated that WP will surpass both iOS and Android in the near future in front of all of these iphone users. I wasnt expecting him to say that, but his opinion was unbiased and legit. He actually took the time to play with both of the devices and seeing how they work. I don blame him for liking Siri so much that it swayed him to buy the 4S, that was Apples whole intent and thats what WP has to do. He also mentioned the marketplace not having tons of apps, I couldnt contest him there. Then another Coworker chimed in and said you wont use half that **** so what does it matter. Valid Point.
But
I like the way Windows is headed, they want WP to succeed along with its valued customers, its up to us to help them and watch the OS succeed. Im not going anywhere, because I like WP and it suits me best. I cant tell you the last time I had to do a battery pull or reset the phone. thats priceless. Just a few things Windows need to work on to get things just right. Then innovate after that is the key.
To the OP some of those animations u were seeing were because things were still loading. The reason those animations are gone is because everything loads faster. I also actually like being able to access my tabs in landscape without having to turn the screen back over. To vetvito the apps do support landscape if the developer adds it. Most of my apps have this.

Wow, ok you know what, if you don't like it, there's the door.
Android has multiple mutilple fragmented devices for you to try out. Anything, just so long as you stop whining and accept the fact that this is a new OS. There's going to be growth before it gets to the point of the other two platforms. It's people like you who make these boards unbearable. This used to be a place where likeminded individuals could discuss an OS they love. You and your negativity is all but ruining it.
/there, think I covered everything
//seriously, this is the response people get for discussing shortcomings
/from people like you
Wow, you mad bro?
Actually, having no LED notification is quite fine with me. Imagine having an ugly orange blinking LED destroying the sexy and refined lines of my DVP!! Although, one of the things I loved about my HTC Fuze (Touch Pro) was the notification LED hidden behind the capacitive button that glowed... that was sexy. WP7 is missing a notification bar somewhere accessible from the start and lock screens so I know what I missed. Toast notifications are cool and all, but I don't always catch them on time.
While 9/10 calls are made to people in my contact list, I do miss the smart dialer we had in WM6.5. At least make the bottom half of the screen the dialer and the top half the history. If you dial a number, the history disappears and if you tap the history, the dialer disappears. I also wish we could individually pin numbers or sms from a person's contact instead of the entire contact. I call people way more than I text them so I don't need their entire contact information displayed when I pin a contact to the start screen.
Oh well, let's hope Microsoft hears our cries!!

Android user on WP7: Initial thoughts.. and concerns

After playing briefly with WP7 I decided i wanted to try it out more officially so I picked up a Focus from cowboom and after 4 days with it here's my thoughts.. I am coming from a CM7 Captivate BTW
Hardware is super nice, screen is gorgeous, battery life rocks, and the gps is dead on (something im not used to on my captivate).. no complaints here at all
Software is great to use, I have 1st gen and ZuneHD so I knew id love that.. the transitions and effects are fantastic touches... but
A. maps is garbage: couldnt even find a store one block from me ( gave results in MS instead) still trying to find a good replacement app.
B. is there a way to have keyboard vibrate when on silent?
C. Only microsoft would install updates one at a time and restart over and over between.
D. Google Calenders wont sync right, I have several calenders i use from my account but it only shows me the default one. Any fix for that?
over all im really impressed, still trying to find apps to replace/match my android setup... but now i really want to be able to dive deeper into the hacks but it seems Chevron option has disappeared.. for now..

@D - I don't think is possible still.
@A - are you using bing?
@C - yes.
@B - i'm not sure, but I would imagine so?
So basically I have no idea. And I've had it for over a year.
A. Bing is getting better, but it is still no replacement for Google (at least for me). For example, I have two Costco stores in my area. One is about 4 miles from my house, the other is about 20 miles. Until about a month ago, searching for Costco would always try to direct me to the more distant one, even though the closer one has been around much, much longer. (Disclaimer - of course, I have no trouble finding Costco, but it was a good barometer of the incompleteness of Bing data in my area).
B. I don't know of any way to turn on haptic feedback from the keyboard when the phone is silenced.
C. Yeah, I suppose the update process still has room for improvement.
D. Contrary to Microsoft's official statements that only your primary Google calendar is supported, you can sync secondary and shared calendars on your phone. Here is a link with instructions (they are a bit arcane, but they do work - I have three calendars syncing to my phone right now):

Android update doesnt delete anything flashing between roms you have to but that is what TiBu is for.
when i go to m.google.com/sync from the phone it doesnt have anything there to select. Can this work from IE, the directions in prev post say Safari but i feel that was copied from iphone directions.
No, the instructions are very clear. You must use Safari (from your PC), because it allows you to set the user agent to appear as an iOS device. It will not work from Firefox or IE. Again, follow the instructions exactly as described in the article I linked and you will see your calendars.
[Edit]
I think I see the source of confusion. It says to use Safari on your "device". For "device", in that case, substitute "PC". So, to sum up:
1 - Make sure you have set up a Google account on your phone to sync your primary calendar, and that it is working properly.
2 - Follow the Safari instructions on your PC to find and enable your secondary calendars (and be sure to remember to click the "Save" button on the page).
3 - Force a manual sync of your Google account on the phone to confirm that the additional calendars are syncing.

Thank you for that, I recognized the steps from when I had an iphone and when it said "from your device" I assumed it meant that, just as it did with an iphone.
any one have tips on unlock codes since chevron is out of them?
Also is there a way to disable screen rotation?
I wouldn't go as far as saying that Bing maps is garbage. It tends to find everything I'm looking for in my area and in metro St Louis when I was there back in August. However it can't seem to find the pizza hut in my town that opened in June but neither can google maps or the pizza hut app.

Well it's still depending on where you are.
I occassionally check it and even on website versions there are things I cannot find in big polish cities what is kinda shame.

I live in a mid sized suburb of the 3rd largest city in the US. it's expanding so if its not fully developed in Poland it will very soon be. Especially since the deal with NAVTEQ/Nokia.
Bing Maps doesnt have business hours, something I miss the most.

C: what? As far as I know, Android update process wipes the phone, thus deletin all user data, and you complain about the update process?
D: fix it on stupid googles side, head over to m.google.com/sync and select calendars you want to sync, it´s their problem, EAS is open protocol, they have changed it, blame them

Android updates typically do not wipe the phone. I've done like 4 updates on this phone and none of them got wiped. I don't know what you're talking about.

I think that's because they pull data from that crappy CitySearch.com, instead working together with someone that does it better or building their own repository.
As for the OP's prob with GPS, didn't people say that gMaps app in the marketplace is good?

It does on some businesses. I wish it was more widespread though.

Ah, well I suppose you can either shell out money for a full blown GPS program offered like Telenav, or Navigon; buy a chevronlabs unlock token and put nokia drive on your phone; or wait for Telenav's html5 solution that'll probably be out in a few months.
UPDATE: Chevron and interop unlocked, battery percent tile, tethering enabled.. all simple touches but have made great improvements
did notice one issue.. when looking up a phone number in IE, clicking on it does not bring up the dialer.. is this always true? any fixes for that?

Eh? How are you guys looking up the phone number?

First time with....well everything almost.

I've been with Sprint for almost 9 years now, and before my Evo 4G in 2010 all I had were the old Nextel i95's...so needless to say I'm at a complete loss with WP7. I tinkered and tailored with Android ROM's for years now and have loved a lot about the OS...but I just couldn't pass up this deal for the Lumia 900 on AT&T. I'm beyond satisfied after having set everything up and loving how tightly knit and integrated a lot of the features are. But I still have some questions:
1) Can i screen capture with the stock rom? I don't want to have to unlock this phone (That was one of the reasons I left Android, you needed to unlock to do ANYTHING)
2) Are there any apps beyond the 3 that use a double tile? Is this a setting somewhere that I'm missing on? Kinda like resizing widgets?
3) Are there different themes, beyond the color switching pallete, that can be used with WP7? And while we're at it, is there a different lockscreen or anything else that can be done from it besides unlocking it? (Such as unlocking to text, email, custom app?)
4) What's up with the notifications disappearing after a while before I get a chance to check em? Is there a way to check them besides going to their respective clients to see what I missed?
5) Can you guys point me towards some alternative apps or settings to replace some of the stock feaures?
6) Besides having to login to AT&T all the time, is there a different way to monitor my data usage? A simple app perhaps?
7) Oh and how could I forget....do I have to go all the way to the settings every time to see what the percentage on my battery is? I found a couple threads saying that you have to unlock the phone for this feature but I refuse to believe that something this simple needs a workaround like that.
Thanks in advance guys, loving this OS and looking forward to some of the changes.
1) Unfortunately not. Most screen captures you see on the net are done using the development software.
2) Tiles sizes are determined by the developers. I wish there was a way of making them single or double too.
3) The colours are the only customisation you can do right now without unlocking the device other than changing the lock screen. The lockscreen I like, as it unlocks to the "desktop" when there is no notifications but if you unlock it as a notification happens then it will take you the application required to see the notification.
Also for some awesome lock screens go to the deviantart website.
4) This is my one and only gripe with WP7. Having said that after unlocking the notication is either facebook or twitter (the only ones not shown on the home screen) and both of those show on my "ME" tile. So really if I want to see anything I missed I go to the "ME" tile and slide across to notifications.
5) What stock features do you need help with?
6) Im not on AT&T and my phone provider has an app to do this so I would be contacting AT&T about this.
7) They do not show a % because its not very accurate I think. This is something I at first hated but I don't care that much any more. This is not like my Samsung Galaxy II which wouldn't last a day. I usually get over a days use out of my Lumia so I don't have to look all the time and be worried. When the love heart goes on the battery I know its getting low but still I have HOURS left.
In terms of number 5 I just meant is there an alternate keyboard, browser, gallery, search feature/marketplace etc. Not that I have a problem with any of these (although I do miss haptic feedback on my keyboard) I just wanted to know if there were alternatives.
EDIT: I do have a problem with ONE of those things I mentioned. The marketplace...it seems too cluttered and feels like the phone is always zoomed in with the way everything looks...but that looks like it was done on purpose.
You.can get two off your list with a Developer unlocked device. Think of it this way. Nokia is giving you a $100 credit because of the data issue. Use it to purchase a legitimate Dev key from Microsoft. Can sideload apps, and also develop with it.
1) can do it with homebrew Screen Capturer app.
2) Only Microsoft or OEMs can develop double wide tiles.
3) Need to have an interop unlocked device to add colors, etc. More involved than dev unlocked and not yet available for the L900.
6) The AT&T myAT&T app will give you the info you need. Nokia is also releasing a data tracking app. Coming soon.
7) Homebrew Battery Meter app. Updates a Live Tile every 10 minutes. Pretty accurate. Good history charts.

There are a few other browsers and such but they are all just front ends for the existing apps supplied with the device. There is also a few marketplace apps which you might find better. I use AppTastic every now and then purely as it shows what's on sale. There might be an app which I don't think is worth $5 or $6 after the trial but would happily purchase to support the developers for a few bucks.

Well, there are alot of the things that are different. Can't/Won't say if its better because thats a personal choice. I've grown to love the look and feel now. So has my daughter...but my son hates it. I gave them both 2 weeks to like it or I would buy them their next phone. My daughter converted...my son did not, and did not want new phone. But, with that said, there are some things I miss from Android....not much, but some. I do wish Live Tiles were a touch more customizable. I wish I could have some more color schemes instead of the just the current ones. I'd love to have a Black/White and/or Grey/white combination of colors also.
Otherwise....its a matter of just trying and getting used to it. I think it took my daughter 3 days to get used to the tiles and groupings of the hubs and what they are designed for. Her original list of must haves went away....
Thanks for all the help guys, yea I figured that most of my complaints/issues could only be solved with an unlock phone but I figured I'd ask. I've got another question, do apps auto update or do I need to manually check em every time?
Your marketplace tile will have a number on it showing the number of updates available. So no you never need to go check but you do need to initiate the update manually when you see that there is some waiting for update.
Again thanks guys for getting me started with the phone. Just a few more questions:
1) Is there a way to set a tile to immediately turn on/off either Bluetooth or Wifi? Or am I stuck with the default settings tile?
2) Can I save a setting where I don't have to download my pictures every time I open an email? I used to just pit "Always show pictures" on the Android GMail client.
3) I've looked and looked and still cant find a tile to just show battery. Can someone link me to an official one that I don't have to side load?
4) Is the app Bandwidth the only app for network speed test? Its kinda glitchy for me.
5) Is there a way to get that HTC Hub on this Lumia or is that another thing where I gotta unlock the phone? I really like the look of it.
6) Someone mentioned that you can change the lockscreen, or at the very least the wallpaper, how do you do that?
Thanks.

Dont know if someone mentioned this, but you're in the droid mentality right now. Like Apple, alot of the framework is locked down. Even with sideloads, alot of the framework is not available. HTC Hub is one of those. MS did not want that kind of screen and they don't allow it. WP is based on Live Tiles and they are sticking with it...for now.
You can change the lock screen pic by going to settings and Lock+Wallpaper. You can change the timeing settings and the picture. If you have a picture you want to use, go to your pictures hub and simply long press on the pic, use as wallpaper is an option.
But mostly, do not expect alot of hack/modding on these phones. For the most part, most of Windows phones, were Android phones at 1 time...ie the Samsung focus line. HD7 was the HD2 line which has been successfully ported to Android and WP7. If you want android type functionality in terms of look and feel...probably not gonna get it here. Of course, I could be wrong....but...who knows.

I don't have answers for all of these, but here's a few (and fwiw I agree
with alodar1). But before I begin, not sure if you're aware of the Marketplace online (http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/marketplace) - might make searching easier as you're starting out.
1) "Settings Tile" is 1 such app (I don't use these, so I can't recommend which one to install, but I've seen this one recommended... *shrug*) http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/102014a6-156e-4604-8f1a-2a86e4edf191
2 & 3 don't know, sorry
4) TestMyNet works decent: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/a25ec139-fc33-4571-9425-cf031a3312bb
5) No, sorry (I had it and never really used it...)
6) Answered above =)
You may also want to check out 'AppFlow' (http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/578ef361-c265-46b7-b6f4-63cbd7fbefe0) or some similar application recommendation app.

Yea I realize I still kinda am in that mentality. It's just there's so many little things I took for granted that I never realized were there until this happened. I love this platform so far though, I have no major complaints, just small issues with it. But thanks for the tip, yea I know about the HD2 cause the first thing my brother did when he got that a couple years ago was have me put Gingerbread on it lol. I'll stick with what I've got for now tho, this is a ridiculously smooth experience and if I've gotta make some sacrifices, oh well. I still get everything done that I want throughout the day...I just wished some apps were better supported.
