WP7 in pre-Mango versions (7004, 7008, 7392, 7403) has only 5 languages but Mango 7712 has many more languages. Now we can update Windows Phone 7 to 7712 Mango and higher (eg 7720) in us language (My is Polish).
Prerequisites
1. We must know register number for MUI files what is us language. Eg.: for Polish is 0415, for Japanes 0411, Netherlands 0413, Russian 0419, Simplified Chinese 0804, Traditional Chinese 0404.
1a. UPD: For yours country code check post #7 THX @colossus_r.
2. Device with Chevron unlock 7392 NoDo or lower.
3. We must install on device: RegistryEditor 1.1.0.0
4. In this apps we add this entry:
- key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI\Available
Eg:
- name: 0415
- value: Polish
In name write register number for MUI files, and in value write language name.
5. Now we can do UPD by Zune to Mango and when phone is up, we must change in "Settings>Region and language" on us language and softreset.

This mod starts other languages in Mango but can not change the camera settings. Running this is very simple read this thread. We must have camerasettingsmanifest.XXXX.xml file with translate to us language. XXXX - this registry number us country eg. for Poland 0415. We must remember that camera menu no supported special letters for us language - only EN letters.
Modify file we must copy to Windows folder on device.
For that we need:
- USB Storage Enabler and follow the instructions.
- TouchExplorer.
When file is copy to device, in Touch Explorer open localization: My Documents/Zune/Content/0400/00 in there we have file that name is eg. 3.z (or similar). Change name to camerasettingsmanifest.XXXX.xml with us country number and copy file to Windows folder. Thats all. Now we start camera>setting and ....
For Polish ready file is attachment.

Unfortunately, yes.
The Mango (for now) can not edit the registry, and only through editing we can get from M $ package with other languages.
Little help needed. According the Microsoft site, Finnish lang is 040b. Is this "b" correct? All other languages (shown here) have only numbers.
Can be, you must try. When this value i wrong, update Mango will not be downloaded. But remember, that your language must be supported by Mango.

best rom, but i think u have to change the language setting to english for using it.

Installing is pretty easy. I didn't know anything about what the DOSbox was spitting out so I tried to USPL beforehand. Instead, here's a quick reference of what to do before you start so you can just press enter all the time:
1) app unlock.
2) remove microSD.
Simple, then you can just press enter all the time.
Also, to get rid of the annoying text entry thing, press ALT + SPACE, then Down and Left to set Lang to EN, ALT-SPACE again, then Up, and select EN.
I haven't found a way to completely get rid of that picture of the D-Pad while you type. Suggestions?
Also, how can I change UCWEB to English? I'm curious as to how it performs compared to Opera. BTW, Great job, kavana!

Hi guys exist one missing registry value that you have to put in order to make the clock appears:
please disable first titanium, then
with regeditor go to HKLM/Software/Microsoft/CHome/CClock
add a string and put the next values:
value name:SK2Text and value data:Clock
and now enable the titanium and your clock appears
Take advice that you can change the app that run when you press the right softkey, just change this two values in the same registry location:
SK2Text: for the name of the app
SK2URL: for the location of the app like \windows\... \Program files\... etc.

There is import/export function to edit languages in txt format
Also rsr files from the CSC from the SDK are very useful....those contain all the languages supported so far

These are the Dictation packs from Windows Phone 8 SDK. You can find and download them here http://www.mediafire.com/wp8dictation. Check your language code here http://www.microsoft.com/resources/msdn/goglobal/default.mspx?OS=Windows Vista , the last four numbers of the LCID is the code you are looking for.
They have the larger size than the wp7 version. In addition, there are some other langs which are not available yet.
Instruction:
+ Download and Unrar.
+ If your lang is already available, use a file browser such as Windows Phone Device Manager 1.10 to replace the dictation file with the new one. The dictation files are stored in /windows folder.
+ If your lang is not available yet (like mine ), rename the the dictation file. Example: I used Native Keyboard to patch Vietnamese keyboad layout into the original Spanish keyboard. So that, i rename the dictation file from dictionary.042A.dat to dictionary.0C0A.dat and replace it then.
+ Reboot your phone.

Nope Because windows phone does not support arabic languague officially yet. The only way to do it is cooking rom i believe.

You can modify the keyboard by editing this file "FingerKB.dll". I don't know if there is a link which instruct the way to do that.
Please mark it on screenshot because I can't see any different before and after copy file.

The dictation in the screenshot is vietnamese which is not supported officially yet
So don't be surprised if someone else will ask I did for polish pack and nothing has been changed.

Oh because polish has already been supported Anyway, the wp7 polish dictation size is ~4MB only, the new one is ~15MB. Maybe the new database is larger? LOL
there is 429 for Persian Language.... gooooooooood.... it is first time that microsoft supoort iranian people from first windows mobile....

but the problem is Windows phone 7 has bad support for righ to left langs

Thanks no0b4v3r for providing these DAT files to us. Czech dictionary works perfect on current Tango devices!
The only thing was that the dictionary didn't automatically replace wrong words. Eventually I figured out where the problem was.
The registry value 0x0405 in the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/FuzzyIME/EmptyLex must be set to 0 for the dictionary to work properly. The similar trick applies to all other keyboard languages that were included with WP7 but where the dictionary wasn't available in the beginning. It's just needed to change different value in the same key.
after making hole procedure (copy, restart) I have this new one file .....0415.dat at windows directory. But even after making restart it seems that it still use old dat file I know word which didn't exists in old dictionary and is in new one.
