Bada is a mobile OS platform for phones designed by Samsung Mobile, which currently is the second mobile phone maker in the world. The platform was presented by Samsung in November 2009
System name comes from the Korean word for ocean.
Bada OS is an operating system, in which a nucleus can be used for the Linux kernel or any kernel real time operating system - RTOS. Linux kernel to be used in more advanced models, if the kernel-based system, the RTOS in simpler products, and also cheaper.
Writing applications for the platform it is possible to examine in C++. Samsung provides a SDK and an IDE based on Eclipse. Unfortunately the SDK for research is only available on MS Windows platform.

petervbeck, sorry bothering you, may be you know the way to add additional lang to standard kbd? or maybe it's impossible by default implementation in ENG ROM? I need russian locale added to default kbd. It's surely exist with official standard HTC 3300 Russian ROM... but it's still WM5 based May be it's possible to get required cab from other official WM6 Russian based devices? Being frankly having 2 or 3 kbds ain't a good thing..

i'm not really sure, but in this thread i found a cab with a russian SIP. Are you searching for something like this ? I don't understand russian language, but maybe this link will help you a bit...
i just did a quick test in a WM6-Emulator image and it seemed to work...seems to replace the english keyboard (strange are the two "handwriting" entries - maybe one for english and one for russian ?) i tried the v02.rar...
The content of this cab with the destination-directories is listed in the image below, maybe you can grab these files from your WM5 and create a new cab ?

Kavana's previous ROMs are very stable. Hopefully this one too. I'm not sure if it can switch between Chinese and English. It seems this version striped clean most 3rd party programs.

registered on the rayfile or whatever the f they call it and its a joke, need to download stuff to get the file...no thanks! So far I have been unsucessful in even getting close to getting the file. The one link provided in one of qualpus' links is a 3gp file that is 24mb, I dont know how that could be a rom

I can't download the ROM either. The download link works weird.
In the original post some users said it has both english and chinese interface.
It looks like the most change is the new kernel to improve performance. And free program ram is about 70M because 3rd party apps are removed.

Can I assume that by "light version" you mean that it only supports Hebrew typing and reading but the menu's are in English?
Either way to me the most annoying thing about the various solutions for typing in Hebrew is the fact that it can only be done in push mode, and I can't edit any documents because I never know what I might delete by mistake. Eyron actually has an option for changing the whole text flow from LTR to RTL, but their software is expensive and slows down your phone. Have you found a solution for this?

I am familiar with you problem, i am working on it.
BUT i have seen that if i correct it, it will corrupt the RTL on Manila Massage and other places, like new meeting.
So, we have to choose what is more important.

From my tryouts, ONLY the start-up, take long as less than half minute, for FULL Hebrew Localization, depend on your Start-Up programs.
BUT, the USE is as fast as was before (without Localization...)
manila translate is not working!
i installed the full version on my MIRI rom on HD2
the hebrew for 6.5 is best! but manilv is stil in english!

I do not know if HTC have Special Keyboard for QVGA.
I will try, but i do not have a device to test it.

I am familiar with that kind of problem, it might be a problem with specific Localization, with your cooked or OEM ROM.
Please, more details about your ROM...
Is it OEM? Or cooked, by who?
Then, I will try to make a FIX cab for you...

I have a method for you:
1. Install HardSPL Suite to your HD2 Device:
Read Here: Flashing for Newbies and Here HSPL for your HD2.
2. Download Original OEM ROM WWE from Here:
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.
3. Flash the new ROM into your Device.
4. Install my Light Hebrew, it will work for you!

As you know, Ice cream sandwich and Jelly bean Roms for Galaxy S3 support most of languages, but a lot of careers hide many languages which they consider a useless languages in there regions.
I made a free, small and ugly application, but very useful app to allow you enable all those hidden languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi, Bahasa...) on the input list settings and the stock keyboard.
Features :
- Auto Backup your current language settings
- Enable Hidden languages in the input language list and Keyboard
- Restore you language settings
This App was tested on Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300), Note2 and Note 10.1 with Samsung ICS and Jellybean Roms.

SMS in Foreign Language on AT&T phone
I have a rooted US Galaxy S3 and as stated by the developer, the app doesn't change anything.
Does anyone know of a way to allow the SMS reader on 4.0.4 to display foreign languages on incoming messages? That is the problem I have at the moment. I can write, and send them. I can also read foreign languages in a web app, however, when receiving an SMS in a foreign language, it comes in with a ? !, that's it.
I am considering changing roms, but need to find one that has this feature.

I changed to my language but meniu still english, or mixed english lithuanian language. I need Lithuanian language. In Samsung suggested language no Lithuanian. Only if i chose "All languaged" i can find Lihuanian. But its not working.. I have mixed translated menu English, Lithuanian. How fix it? Maybe its a way to inject, put Lithuanian language to Samsung suggested languages? Help! Sorry for bad english.

I would think the Global variant with Exynos SoC is more likely to support Lithuanian language. Users with the Exynos Global variant can confirm this.

You're correct, the problem is with Samsung. They offer so many models compatibility becomes a guessing game. Have you tried Morelocale 2 in Google Play Store?

Is the phones is from Carrier brand? Because mine is, and I hope that the problem with language maybe is for this reason, but don't shure. Obviously a lot of people have this problem. Hope that soon someone will help us
