Seems there is no Moderator anymore for this forum, but moderation is really needed because of useless posts and posting in wrong (sub)forums.
Which moderator should be contacted now???

Personally, in a few of the forums I visit there is a lack of moderation in the Q&A area's of the device forums. I'm asking if it's possible we could have a Q&A Moderator for the devices?
I think this would help improve clarity, more help and better moderation since a Moderator would only have to worry about one specific area.

There is an assigned Q&A moderator (your forum specific mod). You can see their name at the bottom of the forum view.
If there's stuff needing done, drop them a PM or report the posts, as we can't be everywhere at once (though some of us do try for omnipresence )

Edit: Seems I accidently doubleposted...
You think that's bad. The EVO 4G (supersonic) has THREE mods listed and the amount of flaming and trolling in our General / Q&A section is astounding. Not to mention the daily posting of [Q] in development.
I can't remember the last time I saw any interaction from our listed mods.
Our previous mod (who is retired mod now) always did a great job.
Guess all forums have the same trouble like yours and ours.
Some users just don't read...
Hi,
Just wondering if this forum has a classified section.
I looked all around and can't find a place for us to sell
or trade Galaxy S3 items. If this is not allowed I can
understand that also.

Generally if a thread is moved it's because it's posted in the wrong forum section. When the thread is moved that's also usually accompanied with at least a notification that the thread has been moved, but sometimes it can also be a PM.
If you've got questions about a ROM thread being moved you can always contact any moderator and ask for clarification on the matter.
It's hard for me to say more than that since I don't have any backstory to what you're talking about.
Since this thread isn't really on topic for this forum I'll lock it and if you want to discuss further you can contact me through a PM.
When a moderator scrubs a thread, are the removed posts collected somewhere other users can review them?
I have seen a few notices of moderator intervention. I am curious whether I would agree with the decision. I wonder whether the people whose posts were removed have an option to appeal.
Regular users will not be able to see what has been removed no.
Ideally there should always be a notice that posts have been removed, either publicly in the thread or with a private message. That way, a user can always contact the moderator in question and discuss what happened. An appeal, of sorts...
If a user feels that it is not possible to communicate with the moderator that has taken action against them it is always possible to contact the Moderator Committee (this is also linked in the contacts page under Complain about a moderator), or if they prefer any other moderator that they trust. A list of moderators and their roles (the Member Liaison comes to mind for cases like this) can be found here (this list can be reached from the forum rules).

To add what Senior Moderator Didgeridoohan posted there are threads in place to ask such questions, which are actually stickied in this forum, whether you agree or not.
