[Q] how to load a custom boot animation

Alright so i am very new to android still and i was wondering how do you load a custom boot animation? I tried looking but apparently my search skills have much to gain.

Search YouTube for user mejdam. I found him through doing a "rooting Droid incredible" search but he has a video on how to do the boot animation.

Pretty much if you want to find something using XDA's Google Search, a few good keywords are "HOWTO", the topic in question and if it's an android/multi-phone topic, throw in the word incredible.

This is just the first post I came across that gave directions. You WILL have to get ADB installed though, which means using modified usb drivers or editing them yourself (it's not as hard as it seems, you pretty much have to paste two lines into a text-based file).
Also a lot (if not all) of this information is available on the XDA Wiki. It's a valuable resource that I recommend all people check first before posting a question (the link for the Wiki it up top there on the page).

Can someone suggest me to change my bootup screen on my htc phone. as its currently display my service provider image which i dont like.

Use the search. Function :/
If your rooted and Eng s-off you can change the splash screen there is a thread already on the topic

I've wrote a few guides for people on this... add my user name to your search criteria

I've written a guide along with the startup & shutdown animations I've made from the Android Commercials. Search for the startup & shutdown animations Android Commercials. The guide goes even so far as to give you the details on how to rip pretty much almost any move/video file and make your use it as your animation for startup or shutdown. I've also included the info for how to change the "spash screen". Lastly I believe this is a first... I've worked out how to enable and use shutdown sounds. I'm a bit busy with some modding but I'll update that thread with the info and the shutdown animation with sounds in a couple of days.

please dont ask questions in themes and apps, Q&A And general are the only places you should post questions of any kind. as for your request, its the splash screen you wish to change not the boot animation

Where did you get the pic in the first place... if you trace back the pic, you'll usually find the source.

That looks like a skinned version of impact dialer widget. Search through these and I'm sure you'll find it: https://market.android.com/search?q=dialer+widget&c=apps

@greeced I got the pic from a Droid forums screen shoot forum. The person said they found it on xda.

Im new to this forum and this phone but not to the concepts of xda might as well use this thread to introduce myself instead of clogging up this forum
I am going to be doing some themeing for this phone for you guys and I looked (as far as I know) for this before I asked. Would anyone point me where to find the DialerTabActivity.apk for this phone, I cant seem to find it?

No DialerTabActivity.apk. The images you need to theme are now in Contacts.apk

How to create a wallpaper?

Hi everybody,
i m trying to find a tutorial to create a wallpaper like the attachments?!
Someone can help me?

It's not a wallpaper. It's made using the apps mentioned underneath "rounded tiles".
I'll see if I can put this together.
