would the BH5X battery for the Droid X work with the Atrix 4G? The BH6X, what comes with the Atrix, is the same as the extended battery for the Droid X, but the Droid X required a different battery case for it.
The BH5x has a lower capacity but it is far cheaper. I'm just worried it wouldn't be compatible with the Atrix, considering that the extended battery that came with the atrix required a whole new battery door for the Droid X, so the BH5X may be smaller than would snugly fit in the Atrix.

Technically, the battery will work because it has the same connection in the same location but it is smaller so any vibration or if you happen to drop it it will knock the battery loose.
Thanks, just wanted to know. It's so cheap, so I thought that it might be worth getting. Oh well, I'll dish out the 25 dollars or so for the BH6X.
EDIT: You could add a bit of cardboard or something to the BH5X and then it wouldn't come loose.

I would probably go with some sort of material that is NOT flammable. But it might work. But I can't see the point in it, the dual cores will eat through that battery pretty quick unless you just want to use it as a back up
I had a spare bh5x from when I had a Droid x and it works perfectly fine in the phone. It is smaller than the stock battery, but it still fits snug with no wiggle at all. Contacts still line up perfect. Obviously doesn't last as long as stock (1500mah/1930mah) but it definitely comes in handy as a spare/backup. And you can pick them up for $5 on Amazon
Yea, probably not cardboard, haha, but since bH5X fits snugly, I'll probably pick one up as a backup.
I had to recharge a droid x's battery on my Atrix and it worked without any flaws. The droid x's battery is a bit small though and could be moved easily inside.

Will these make me go faster?
I have read that before..are really that good ?
Whats the different between a 1550 mAh Mugen Power battery for 30$ and a random 1550 mAh battery from eBay for 10$?
some ebay sellers sells unbranded or fake batteries (would say 1800mah but is actually 1300 etc..), usually with no return/exchange policies specially the cheap ones like 3 pcs for 10$.
mugen pretty much you get what you pay for.
Man that's nice
I don't have issues with the stuff I got from them. I saw on their facebook page that they change the batteries if they're working...which is good and they have 1 year warranty on stuff. So far I'm going with them. Got 2 days on average usage on my Nexus
looks like I found the answer to my question. will check them out, thanks!

Personally for me the big difference is their brand presence across all available customer service channels (twitter, facebook, email, phone etc...) and high quality. I'm using my 4th battery from Mugen at the moment and totally happy with it and with their service.
Also I received a reply from their rep that actually makes sense - they say that their price allows them to give all the listed services to the customers, and it is simply not possible to make a good battery for 10$ using top technology and aftersales support.
Anyways, there's many info here about them, you can research a little.
While it would be nice to have an extended battery, I wouldn't want to make that change because it would make my phone heavier and clunkier with the extended battery backdoor. Another big downside is that my case wouldn't fit anymore. To solve my own battery-life issues I keep a Duracell Powerhouse with me when I know that I'm going to need extra juice.

You can always choose a slim extended battery that fits your original phone socket and does not require an extra back.

I have heard that the "extended batteries" that are the same size as stock are counterfeit in the sense that they don't actually offer more capacity. Lots of scams and shady companies around extended batteries...
It's 'Moogin' baby. Seriously, this is just a name tag being placed on the battery. It looks too ugly for me to put it on my Skyrocket.
will check them out, thanks!
Mugen Power batteries are great if you can afford the entrance fee. Yeah, it's not some cheap knockoff from Ebay, but the quality and battery life is worth it. I recommend them. Here's a review I did of the extended batteries on the T-Mobile G2 if anyone's interested

Plus one for Mugen from my side. I've been recommending them for quite a long time now. Some experience to share: ordered a battery from them a month ago and nothing got delivered. I contacted them on facebook, and it turned out that the post lost my parcel...I was a little nervous cuz there was more than 150$ in it, but Mugen replaced all of it in a matter of days. Not just great batteries but awesome support as well.
Very good battery. Works flawlessly.
are mugen batteries available in india?

hi all, anyone tried one of these or have any views on them?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220920058988?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
I'm skeptical that it will actually be 3.8Ah but who knows!
I would maybe try this one first
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-2300mAh...ccessories&hash=item3f117fadeb#ht_5834wt_1413
i don't trust oversized. Also the Gnex requires that the battery has a NFC chip on it to be able to use the Gnex's NFC function
what's the capacity on the standard battery packs? That 2.3ah one you linked to does not look much bigger, do you also need a new back cover for that one?

thought more people would have views on extended packs?

Only $5.99 USD?
That's too good to be true ... most probably fake, I meant it contain less than 2300 mAH.
And it is for "Galaxy Nexus prime" ... bwahahaha ... Yeah, right!
Also, it does not look to have NFC.
I bought this one: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/110797773716#ht_4338wt_905
It has NFC and it is (slightly) higher capacity. The back cover fits perfectly, and is almost identical to the CDMA GN back cover. Makes the device just a tad less concave near the bottom. Looks and fees better in my opinion.
I've ordered one of the 3,800 ones, I'll post a review when I get it!
Both the cheap ones do seem a bit too good to be true, but for the price of the so called 3800mah one I might try it and test it out.
I'll look forward to seeing the review if u get yours first mate

The 2000 ones are genuine. Many people have bought it and have no complaints.
NFC on it works as well if that matters to you. It has many prices some in USD etc etc.
Anyone bought one yet?

Been thinking about this. I hate putting on huge battery packs so the 2000mAh was appealing. but $50 for such a small bump is hard to justify for me, especially considering I have no plans to get a desk charger and swap batteries.

I was thinking the same thing, but I went for it anyway. I bought it so I wouldn't have to swap batteries. The 2000mah battery has about 15% more capacity, so if you get say 12 hours on the regular battery, you should get 13.7 hours. If you get 18 hours, you should get 20.6 hours. As well, I find my GN feels much better in my hand with the extended battery: it is slightly heavier and less concave in the back (i.e., it looks like an LTE GN).

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....sPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en#ht_2408wt_1141
I'm sceptical of ebay, however 2430mAh without changing the dimensions of the phone, they have great feedback. Will this give me an extra 38% or so of battery life? Or is it probably just a sham...
looks interesting, the price is skeptikal but the posting of it seems legit.. at least in my own opinion, don't really know until someone orders it and runs a battery test
and just a FYI, the genuine 2000 mAh extended battery makes the phone bigger but barely... and the phone feels a lot better with the extended battery.
I'd consider buying it, really wouldn't mind someone else's opinion first though. I already have the 2200 man battery, so I'm not quite sure if this would be worth changing for...
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
if that battery is not bigger than the gsm 2000mah extended battery(ie it doesnt need a new back cover) theres no way its 2400mah. when it comes to batteries oem is the highest quality so an after market one will need to be bigger to give more juice. you are right to be skeptical about aftermarket battery they always bs their mah ratings.

OP, that does not look legit at all.
Many times these batteries have a label showing a higher capacity...then when you peel it off the true capacity is underneath.
I'd bet its probably fake.

Agree with you although its surprising to me to see how Motorola could fit a 3300 mAh battery on a phone with a pretty slim-profile.

They also made it non-removable as well as ging it a huge bezel and a 4.3 inch screen, all while making it wider and only slightly shorter than the GNex.
This is a scam for sure. It's tempting though. But no.
Back in the g1 days. These "gold" cells did perform a lot better. Anybody care to try?

Not to thread crap, but Google Seidio extended batteries. They usually test at far less than their advertised rating. They make nice cases, but their batteries aren't very well regarded in the smartphone enthusiast circles.

I agree, had them for my og Evo, extended battery was decent, but on my Epic touch it was far less than satisfying.
I am waiting on one from Gorilla gadgets, the extended battery i got for my Epic touch was good. Hopefully it will be the same with my GS3
There extended battery for my og evo worked great for almost two years. But I messed up using a rom with trickle charging. So go for the battery when it comes out, I know I will.

I agree too, their products are very reliable and the quality is superb, I bought an extended battery from them a few years ago for the Droid Inc and always got atleast 26+ hrs on it. Of course like any other battery, it too lost its juice after 2 years but I was very satisfied with its output. Right now there is no timetable on when the battery will be released (I sent Seidio an email and waiting for their response) but hopefully the battery isn't bulky enough that it sacrifices the phones' beauty.
