Make sure you wipe data and cache before flashing a Rom.

If you did a nandroid backup before installing the cm rom, then just boot into recovery and restore the backup. If you did a nandroid after installing the CM rom then try to reflash the CM rom.
Got it.. thanks.
Had to track button + Power after battery pull, then used Unrevoked Painless Reflash to get back and tried an earlier save from Nandroid.
was scared from a bit there.

A quick question about splash screens.

I have a custom splash screen flashed now and I have 2 roms (Fresh and CM6) I nandroid restore between depending on my mood. Now for my question I flashed my custom splash on Fresh will it stay if I restore to CM6 or is that something that is backed up and I would have to make a new back up of Fresh and then restore to CM6 and flash the splash in CM6? Sorry if its a bit confusing.
Edit: Ok I just backed up and restored and it stayed.
when i was flashing my splash it stayed no matter wat rom i flashed i never backed up
and ive done a data factory reset before zand my custom splash was still there
only have a ran a sprint ruu and it took it off but it also unrooted my phone to
i dont think it matters about roms

[Q]stock reflash complete - bootloader cycling

I was able to successfully flash my stock nandroid through amon ra. But now every time i boot my evo it keeps going back to boot loader. Am i in trouble?
I had this happen to me, and what I was able to do is this: I pulled the battery, then booted into recovery. I wiped data/cache/dalvik. I then flashed one of my nandroids, and it booted up just fine after that. Do you have more than one nandroid? You stated that you are using amon RA, did you use amon
RA to create your nandroid backup? If you used clockwork to create the backup, you need to use clockwork to flash the backup, they are not interchangeable. Hopefully this was helpful to you.
After going about... i think it has to do with the hboot being .76 insted of .79 which is what is suppose to be for 2.2. Or am i wrong? - and every time i try to do the hboot update it keeps telling me an error about a update file, cant figure it out.
Yes i have other nandroid's but, i'm really wanting to get some stuff back from my original stock 2.2. I try doing a titanium backup, but it just kept telling me i wasnt root, but i am.
FIXED!!! It was the bootloader. Spent a good time trying to look for a flashable hboot, and finally had to restore my phone back to stock 2.2, then root and restore. The solution was here, the files.

perm rooted, s-off, stuck on htc logo

Hi guys,
I just got my replacement g2 after the screen broke on my original. I swapped sds, popped battery in, went into the phone and perm rooted.
Then I flashed clockwork recovery and rebooted into recovery.
Then I restored a nandroid from a week ago...
Now, my phone can boot into bootloader where it says s-off and I can boot into clockwork recovery. However, I am not able to boot into cyanogen mod...
What should I do? I neglected to backup before restoring the nandroid.
ok weird - i installed cm7 and im able to boot - but the nandroid doesn't work?
Wipe everything, and install a diff version of cm7.
What version are you trying to install? I did my moms phone and put 31 on it and it flipped out like your phone is, I put 29 on it and no problems
sent from the rooty tooty fresh and fruity cm7 nighly powered G2

[Q] Wont boot past white screen.

I installed kings rom with the 3.0 sense. I only put a few app on it and it was working great. I wanted 2 do a backup before I used titanium back up 2 restore the rest of my apps. After i did a back up, it is stuck on the white screen. This is the third time in a row this happened..I did the backup from rom manager which took me into clock recovery. I can still go into recovery put system isn't booting. Any suggestions?? Thanks
Dump ROM Manager and CWM. Get Amon Ra.
Wipe EVERYTHING, except SD Card
Reflash your ROM
Seem the boot may be corrupted; you'll have to wipe everything [cache, data/factory, dalvik cache] then re-flash your rom.
I haven't used clockwork in about a year I've stuck with amon ra and my boot is corrupted I've dumped everything five times and still if I want to flash a mod or anything in recovery I have to reflash my ROM . Any suggestions would be appreciated .
Have you run a RUU on your phone lately?? A few months ago, mine was acting up like that (not as bad) where my recovery got corrupted a few times out of the blue, so I ran the RUU (Without using S-Off tool, btw) and basically started over and all has been fine since.
Also, this may seem silly, but i alwasy flash ROMS from my Stock/Rooted setup, not whatever current ROM I'm using.
What's an ruu?
It's an image of the out-of-the-box stock setup for your phone. It's basically starting from scratch
Thanks..I re flashed and its fine now...
