I recently tried to install google maps on my phone but when I get the link for it. It brings up a page sasying 'visit now' but when I click this it only takes me back to google search.
Does this happen to anyone else?? Or am i being stupid and missing a link to downloading the software for it? I searched the forum and didnt find a similiar problem to this.

No problem
I have Mobile Firefox (FF) installed. The latest version lets you synch FF desktop bookmarks to your FF on your mobile device. This is handy, but I would also LOVE to be able to export those bookmarks over to the stock android browser.
There are several bookmark synching (cloud based) apps out there - Xmarks (pay app), etc. However I don't see anything that specifically allows you to just import a bookmark set into Android. That functionality is also not built into the stock browser.
Surely, by now, there has to be a quick/easy way to import FF/IE/Chrome bookmarks directly to the Android Browser on your mobile device?
Nevermind. I did not read the OP carefully enough.
Edit: I also am looking for a solution to this. Supposedly Gmarks can do this but I could not figure out how.

MyBookmarks app (free in Market) will do this. You export your bookmarks; upload them to their site; import them to your device. Supposedly works on all phones (I have a Toshiba Thrive) and IE, Firefore, Safari, and Chrome.

I appreciate the response, I did a market search but this app must not have been popular enough to come up in the first 10-15 bookmark related apps.
I'll give it a try, there is a Free and Pro version.

Downloaded this mybookmarks app. Uploaded ff bookmarks on the website then imported them with the app. Said it was successful but the android native browser has the same bookmarks as before. Nothing new imported. Strange. Anyone else get this to work with synergy or gb based rom? Not sure why it's not importing them to the browser correctly.

No idea why this app doesn't work for me? Says it imports but my bookmarks are the same.

Same with me.
And I'm getting really upset that I can't transfer my Firefox bookmarks to my HTC. I have allot of them, and use them for work also.
Since I'm going on a business trip, I'll need it all on my DHD.
It's a pain in the ass to create one by one manually.
I can't seem to figure this one out and search doesn't help.
After updating to ICS (Unrooted/Stock) I can no longer create bookmarks in Skyfire. Is or has anybody else experienced this? If so did you get it resolved? If you did, how did you do it?
I have already done a Factory Reset, reinstalled Skyfire too.
Thanks in advance!
[PLEASE DON'T PUSH DOLPHIN OR X,Y,Z BROWSER ON ME, I KNOW ABOUT THEM ALREADY AND I LIKE SKYFIRE AND THE QUESTION IS ABOUT SKYFIRE - THANK YOU!]

It's probably Skyfire not updated to work properly with ICS.
I had wondered this too.
For any of you out there that like Google chrome, I recommend dolphin browser. Very good layout similar to chrome and Firefox. Dolphin has never crashed and can sync across all of you devices. This browser even has a voice search option. If other are any reasons that this browser should not be used, please inform me of your thoughts.
Uh, this isn't a question... so can a mod move this to themes&apps?

My question in this is: Are there any reason that this browser should no be used?
What is "Dolphin Notification"?
Bump
I'm honestly not being a jerk. If you ask Google this question you will have your answer in seconds..Google will also answer the "view too large to fit in drawing cache" question you have in your other thread.

I didn't find an answer to either question. But, I understand your concern.
Why not enable it and find out and report back here...shouldn't hurt anything and you can always turn it off if it's not something you want

To answer your question.
It enables you to connect from a browser, sort of like how mobile chrome sends info you use on desktops chrome to your mobile chrome.
In example, I use Google maps on my desktop, I'll look up an address and walah, it sends it to my mobile browser. With dolphin, when Google maps gives me a result, I have an option to send to "dolphin browser". It just does what chrome already does.
Hope it helps.

Ah, I see. Thanks very much.
I love the fact that it syncs my Chrome bookmarks into Dolphin.
Edit: This is done with Dolphin Connect.
From The Play Store:
