Hi
I recently tried to install google maps on my phone but when I get the link for it. It brings up a page sasying 'visit now' but when I click this it only takes me back to google search.
Does this happen to anyone else?? Or am i being stupid and missing a link to downloading the software for it? I searched the forum and didnt find a similiar problem to this.

I can tell you use opera, you need to do it with pie
ah right.. didnt realise the browser would make a difference. Thanks i'll try using a different browser.

yeah your right. I tried it with internet xplorer and it went through fine. Strange..
it is becouse the internet explorer is the standard browser in wm and opera is a browser Htc make in the rom

I recently had to flash my phone back to stock firmware and I lost the Samsung IM app... I have searched high and low to find it.
Does anyone know where it can be downloaded? I am sure it came with an update to Social Hub, but I dont even see that in the Samsung Apps Market.

PS: If someone maybe wanted to upload the apk for it, that would be pretty awesome.
BUMP! I am looking for this as well... And i dont think itll be as simple as the apk ccause its odexed on the phone itself...
go into Samsung Apps in your phone
then refresh, then it will show up
then install
then setup your accounts
then use IM
done
huh.. I don't have any such application on mine. These regional differences really are irritating.

never knew that samsung had a default messenger program installed on the galaxy s. I remove most of the samsung programs when i install a new firmware.
Too bad this messenger comes with Samsung mail. only wanted the messenger app
Disable translating IM function

Please tell me if somehow it's possible to disable the translating function of IM?
I looked in settings/translate but only it can do is to change the translating languages. It's very helpfully for me to disable it.

Does it work for any of you on HD Mini? I tried to open Facebook in Opera (even in all versions - mobile, touch and full) and through Facebook app from Marketplace. I can't see any visible button on which I can click to post a place. I am from Czech Rep. so it should work here. Thanks for any hint...
Did you try XDAFacebook? It has that function, but I never tried it.
The MS Facebook App lacks that feature.

Next time use the search, whats so difficult about that? Every forum on the internet has a search option, use it!

google chrom sycning is advertised in dolphin mini.
ive been googling and searching the forum and trying out stuff but for the life of me i cant seem to figure it out.
i do have chromemarks but i want an in-browser solution.
anyone know how this can be done? it would make dolphin mini my preferred browser for sure

thanks for the reply. i have however moved back to the stock browser. i will keep your suggestion in mind if i ever try dolphin again

hi all, browse some chinese forum and found this nice rom, it even start up with Onepiece anime animation! full transparent design and some really nice status bar icon, he even modded the menu. and its snappy.

it says com.sonyericsson.sync.ui stopped unexpectedly when ever i click done when creating account for sync. all my contacts are save in gmail, ill need it to sync.
just need to know what do i need to look for to make it work, get com.sonyericsson.sync.ui.apk and put it in? or are there other stuffs?

Have you tried flashing the GB gaps package? It can be found in FXP CM7 thread, should sort your issue out let me know how you go!
in China,we could not used Google services,so usually we delete them by oneself.
so you should add Google services which we had delete.
hey dude i have a way to make Google market work on ristricted countries because i live in syria and i use it all the time
if you need it pm and i will tell it to you
i don't wanna share so that google won't find a workaround

After updating to ICS (Unrooted/Stock) I can no longer create bookmarks in Skyfire. Is or has anybody else experienced this? If so did you get it resolved? If you did, how did you do it?
I have already done a Factory Reset, reinstalled Skyfire too.

It's probably Skyfire not updated to work properly with ICS.
I had wondered this too.
