So far, to buy 3rd party batteries for the SGS2, IMHO you either pay through your nose for silly cult brands like Mugen, or try your luck with the crazy capacities variants in ebay.
While shopping for SGS2 accessories on www.taobao.com, I came across this brand of batts called NOHON. I did some checking, and decided that the company was somewhat reliable (www.nohon.hk).
I ordered 2 pieces of the 1700mah at USD$10.11 each (http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=10849285537), with another est USD$5 shipping internationally to me (consolidated with a few other items I was buying via www.taobaotrends.com).
Here's pictures of the goods. Taken with my SGS2 as my dslr is currently elsewhere.

It even came with a battery holder.
So far, after 6.5 hours it's used 17%. Usage included
- 15 min of web surfing
- 3 SMSes received, 3 SMSes sent
- 3 x 1 min of call
- push mail for 3 accounts
- whatsapp and viber on full time
*logged at 5 min interval, hence the stepladder graph. The usage of the screen is denoted below, but not an accurate reflection as some uses may have been between the points logged.
Extrapolated, it should last me as long, if not longer than a original Samsung Batt. This totally unscientific method puts the capacity to be around, if not greater than 1650mah.
I'll be using the batt a few more days, and I'll give my further input then. At first blush this is a good battery that I've gotten.
Not sure where else you may find the batts, but Taobao.com's the only place I found selling the stuff.
thanks. I think its the same battery that momax have
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Yes, I think so too.
Probably the OEM for both Momax and Mugen, actually.
I'm curious about the long term capacity of these batteries. I've used many 3rd party batteries in the past which had excellent capacity during the first hundred or so cycles.. then decreased dramatically afterwards
what's the point of a extra 50mAh with a non genuine battery that may cause damage to the phone?!?!

doesnt even look that bad
I'll buy one if it comes with the back cover hell yeah.
Considering their larger capacity "stock" size batteries are not what they are rated at, I think I'll stick to my HTC brand 2750 until someone actually gets one of these and measures it out.
Not worth the premium price if you're only getting, say...2800 mah compared to what they are advertising....
Considering since it says it has "double" the factory battery, I'd be someone tests this out a few hundred mah lower than advertised.

OOhh then my phone might actually last until i go to sleep like most phones do.
Considering how the TB uses the battery cover as an extended antenna, I think I'm going to stick with the OEM extended battery and battery cover this time.

I stopped using my extended battery. It's too damn bulky. I was actually surprised by how good the stock battery is.

I don't get it. The OEM batteries are so small and thin. I just keep an extra one in my second pocket at all times.
That looks so stupid but I might have to invest in one because the terrible battery life on this phone makes me insane. Im even tempted to go back to my droid.

No doubt it's just a placeholder, since they didn't have a real image at the time. Not that anyone really believes it'll be 3200 anyway...
How can their possibly still be people out there who believe Seidio's claims about their batteries?
Extended Battery with covers have started to show up on the ebay UK website. SO hold on to your quids and for all those who are not patient enough to drop by here is the link with the picture >.
Are you buying one ?? I did. Here are the updated pics . Battery life review, actual capacity and battery charge time ... sooooooooooooooooooooon

Although, these are quite cheap don't feel like going to buy one. May be u should buy first and then give us some feedback? That'd be nice
Wow, that's going to be about 2.2 times fatter than the original phone! LOL! Heck no!
lol @ alright then will order one for me.
well they say if u want more juice you'll have to shell more quids. lol but i think this is not the case here
I'll bite.
hold your horses. these two sellers look a bit cheeky to me, they have recently changed thier product pictures and more or less they look the same. however also they have hidden the battery mAH what for ???
These are 100% fake, you will be very lucky if there not less than the original, do not be conned.
I will buy one.
Looking at the price and pics it seems to be fake and I am afraid that they might explode or overheat over the period of time.
ouch that's one ugly case back cover!
Yeh looks cheeky to me but have to be buy one. Excited !!!!

Edit:
Crap, just noticed it's for the 1650, but the picture is of an 1850 mah.
i still think the offer on ebay for $40 for the Docking+1850 NFC battery is way better than buying the battery by itself
i got 2 of those
1 for home , and another for the office
and as usual i always carry 2 extra battery pack with me
because i know i can burn through 1 really fast, on my down time
in the doctor office waiting room, i can easily burn the battery down to 30% in 3 hours
that's on the Nexus S and I9000, so i'm expecting similar performance on the SGS2
I just got 2 extra OEM batteries the other day, I've got to say it's pretty sweet to turn up the screen brightness and not worry about battery life.

a bit off topic but yeah... i don't even know what's the point of having an Appointment! with the Doctor, if you arrive on time or even early, and you still need to wait an average of 2 hours give or take a few
so i really hate going to see a doctor unless i'm in dying needs for some prescription medicine
like what's the point of having an "appointment" if it's like a walk-in clinic?

nope, it barely holds the phone on it's own. I felt like I had to force the phone in it and felt it was gonna scratch the Bezel with continued use. I wouldn't buy it again after owning it already.

I was skeptical about buying this due to how cheap it is, to anybody looking for a cheap alternative, this is for you.
Click HERE to view the battery on Amazon (UK)
I've seen people saying some batteries will not charge or that it's slow. This isn't, I've charged it a few times and it gets up to the 90%~ mark and remains neutral, it doesn't slow down whatsoever.
I completely forgot to screenshot my battery use after a solid 5 hour Final Fantasy 7 session with still 60%~ remaining.
The battery fit isn't great, it does fit in but it could be a lot better.
The extended case is cheap, it's made out of plastic and very hollow. With the added weight no doubt it would crack if dropped.
To sum up, the battery is well worth the price depending on use. I use it for playing games when I'm just chilling at my friends house, so here's for those who are wanting something for a similar use.
I had this battery, but it was less powerful than the original... weird.
Having used Anker batteries and travel chargers since my s2, i can safely say they can have my money any time, they make affordable but really great products. There batteries certainly last longer than stock.

Hi everyone, my phone is working fine but with launch of oneplus 5 I'm worried that I will not find battery replacement in the future. So I start looking for batteries backups today but I couldn't find. Someone have I recommendation site? I tried aliexpress, ebay.
Thanks in advance.
Same concern.
u will need to replace the battery in two years or so. by then you will buy a new phone...
if you are not planning to buy a new phone in the next few years, I'll suggest buying 3400mah battery from AliExpress, just read the user's reviews.
theres one here but i cant even read the label on the battery in the picture they provided.

Chinavision is usually a good source for batteries and parts in general.
Just make sure you read the reviews of the seller, as that's quite easy to find cheap parts

Did you get the battery?! On ebay, i found li polymer batteries 3300. OP 3& 3T have li ion 3400 batteries....
Edit: after i saw a vid on youtube, opening a op3t, original baterry is li-po! But why is reported in android as li ion?
I'm waiting the shipment. I'll update here when I get it. One complete charge is lasting me 6-7h, with hard using. Dash charge is a bless but it bothers me being wired.
I can say nothing about Li-Po or Li-Ion. In the photos, the battery looks original, so I didn't noticed it's constitution.
i got it from here
