In my search for the perfect RoM, testing hundreds of apks, flashable zips and so on, I have finally narrowed it down and decided to go for a sense-based RoM. That is JokerDriod 4,2.
The only problems I have with this is its theme and the lockscreen.
I've searched the forum a lot and I couldn't find annything ( that works ) to replace the JK theme with the default one, and the Lockscreen with the default one from HTC Sense.
Regarding the theme: I have replaced Rosie.apk and framework-res.apk to change the theme ( as the flashables did not work ) but the buttom part ( App Drawer, Phone, Add to Screen ) are still the same, transparent and with an ugly blue line when I press them.
As for the Lockscreen, I have found a flashable here on the forum, but it did not work...
Can anyone provide me flashable zip to completly go to stock skin ( Rosie.apk, Framework-res.apk and that other file....forgot the name ) and also with the default htc lockscreen?
Thank you very much.
Hey dude, I was once also troubled by this problem. Thanks to the great help from 3xeno, we figured out a solution. We find out that although the rosie.apk is for the bottom bar and htclockscreen.apk for lockscreen, it is the additional com.htc.resources.apk that made them transparent. So, you can replace that file of jokerdroid rom with that of original sense. (He suggested me to replace directly without unzipping the zip and I did so)
Thanks for your reply. I have managed to find it out when decompressing the rom.

Hello all, I've been flashing my roms for a long time now, and I'd like to think I'm not much of a newbie here, but there is one thing that is ruining me. I've asked on the thread where the rom has been posted, but no answers.
The Rom in question is AuraxTSense 7.6.1.
Is there a way to get rid of all transparency and just have it look like Sense? (not that I want sense. LauncherPro is my cup of tea) but the transparency on the keyboard, the transparent dock at the top and the dropdown menu looking grey isn't to my fancy. So is there a way to get rid of all transparency? I haven't tried flashing "original theme" from the first page yet, but I will do if it gets rid.
Running NexTSense v6.0 atm and would love to upgrade to the newest version as I do like what Neo is doing with his roms. They are stable and not so battery hungry (that'll be another day to find out the best radio).
Thanks,
Dan

flash the original theme will get rid of the expressobar, flash a diffrent taskbar will get rid of the transparant taskbar and notifiction pull down, and use adb to remove and push the original htc_ime.apk to get the old one back, you could also make your own htc_ime mod at www.gimpsta.com and use that instead
Well flashing the original theme will get rid of it and return theme to stock sense(not espresso), but he states it is for 5.0, so if he have changed anything else in the .apk's it flashes, it might change other things. but i would say go ahead, make a nandroid and try it. Alternatively you could pull the the following from 6.0 and add them to a zip file:
- framework-res.apk
- com.htc.resources.apk
- Rosie.apk
- HtcLockScreen.apk
Those are the one's included in the original theme zip. (edit: also many of the widgets are edited, if you want to change back, pull those from 6.0 as well)
Btw. i love the transparency, and i'm using the rom myself. Only thing missing is transparrent message area, when pulled down. For the keyboard. Just use the "HTC ime mod" which is also included
Cheers for your help guys. I'm gonna check both of them out. Making my own keyboard seems a great idea because I have big thumbs and always hit the . button and would like to get rid of the language. Would be fun times. I do like HTC_IME Mod too tbh, flawless!

Well, I'd just like to confirm that all this worked. I got the AuraxTSense 7.6.1 and NexTSense 6.0 and took all the files out of the 6.0, put them in to a zip file with all of AuraxTSense 7.6.1 and flashed it (after doing Nandroid just incase).
Only thing is the Keyboard didn't get rid of the transparency, but seeing as their is the Multitouch Keyboard, as well as HTC_IME Mod, it's fine!

now this rom has this new file overlay system, you might just be able to replace the htc_ime.apk with the stock one using a file explorer
Hi!
So, I decided to have a look inside AuraxTSenses framwork-res.apk ( applied SmoothSense to it ), and found .pngs and thought that I'm gonna try editing these. And so I did, and changed my lockscreen.
Then I did some more, and then I tried to change battery icons to Super Circle Battery just by replacing the .pngs and couple of xml files, but I ended up having no battery icon at all. Then I found UltraLinx's Minimal Matte Grey, and thought man I'd like to combine this and some of SmoothSense's icons + grey Super Circle.
Now, I know what I'm doing ( and did ) is NOT the right way, I basically just extracted the files I wanted to change, and then I threw the modified files back in to the framework-res.apk , and then I threw the modified framework to SmoothSense's installing zip and flashed the zip at recovery. And I did have the nice new lock screen look, but Theme Kitchen said that the framework is basically all the way corrupted.
So now I'd like to know what I need to do in order to do this thing correctly? The Theme Kitchen said that Minimal Matte Grey's framework is corrupted too, so I guess it's no good using it as the base-framework, and add the things I'd like to it? I know I'm supposed to sign something and compile and decompile and something?
If someone can give me any advice I would be more than grateful.
Hi I'm on a 2.1 Sense rom and I was just wondering how do I change the notif bar's battery and background?
I tried just changing the icons in the framework-res apk in the drawable-mdpi folder
then I just saved it and pushed it and replaced the original framework but that just put me on an endless repeat of booting so I came back to 2.1 sense so .. How do I change it ?
I'm trying to change it like A motoblur theme
If I can't do it no Sense UI please tell me how to get it working on either GB or froyo?
I'm on the new radio btw
cm6.1 well you can go into cyanogen setting under ui than extras there is some different ones to pick you can use a theme you can flash a custom one its all on you or your rom
i suggest a theme poke around the forums for one
you can find a metamorph theme for your phone. and you just apply the notification bar with metamorph app
I've searched but can't find specific instructions on the exact files needed to pull, edit and push back to the framework to make the status bar semi-transparent or clear. This is something that always bothers me. I'm running CM7 n29 but if I had the general instructions it would be great so I could apply it to future updates as well without having to flash a whole theme. Thanks in advance...
Well, a quick fix would to be to use a theme; The honeybread theme give you a transparent notification bar; I use it and runs great.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943423
I don't know which file it is in CM7, but in a sense rom the specific file I believe is common_app_list_null.png
And it is located inside com.htc.resources.apk > res > drawable-hdpi
You can rename any .apk into a .zip to open it and extract it for editing. Once you edit it, you may need to sign the file. I just use metamorph for my theming stuff, which makes things a lot faster.
As far as editing, you'd just need to select the area you want to be transparent or translucent, and edit its opacity accordingly with a decent image editing app. If you are looking for one, paint.net is a surprisingly good free one.
Thanks for the quick replies. I forgot about Metamorph. I've not messed with it but maybe I'll see what I can find out going that route. I don't want to change the whole theme because theres always something I don't like (icons, etc). I have Photoshop so its no problem editing it when I find it, just making sure I edit the correct .png! Thanks again!
Thought I'd start a generic thread for UOT Themes as I did a couple for the stock 4.6.8 rom. These aren't great, but at least they're a change from the stock, so maybe others with talent can do some as well.
I've attached the Red and light blue themes I've created. If you want to use them as starters, just extract the settings.uot file and go to http://uot.dakra.lt/ and choose file upload, settings to import these settings. From there you can alter the boot screens and colors as you like. You'll need to make sure you set everything for MDPI and use the framework-res.apk and Systemui.apk from your phone (or the rom you use on your phone).
The two zip's I attached are for the 4.6.8 rom, so don't use them on apex or CM7/9. You can however import the settings and use your own framework-apk and systemui.apk to make a version that works with your rom.
Please share any new themes or changes to these themes you have... They can definitely be streamlined because some of the items don't apply to our phone so more people working on these would help us all. It would also be nice to see some full non-uot themes in this forum, but this at least is a start.
Hi, man.
