My evo has a light leakage issue so I'm going to get a replacement phone, does anybody know if I would be able to get a nexus s as my replacement in phone

Nope. Only if you had your evo replaced a bunch of times. Even then it would take a lot of talking to different people to get it as a replacement.

HA, sprint would give you a kyocera echo before the give you a nexus s!

They may give you a new Evo, best bet is to do that, then sell the new one and get a Nexus.

Hello, new guy here.

Just picked up the Inc 2 off my local CL for $200. I'm not new to rooting or Android just to the droid Inc 2. I'm coming from a rooted tbolt which I gotta get rid of now.

Its a good price if not from Verizon. Its free some places if you had an upgrade but overall good price off CL

only problem with no contract phones (Craigslist or wherever) is that you don't get a one year warranty. but you're rooting it anyways...

If you're buying a phone from craigslist, I would make it known to the seller that you would be calling Verizon to verify the ESN. Meet in public place, look at phone, call Verizon. If the seller is legit, he should have no problem with this.

last time I visited them for this reason, I believe that they said that they don't repair cracks larger than an inch.

You could try a NON corporate sprint repair center. Most of the ones I've ever been to will do it and sometimes free. In my case they just write a note saying the something else was defective and replace the screen (or phone). Most times if they can get the money from sprint they'll do anything

Well i have a good friend who works at my local repair center and when i go today im hoping shell help me out but if not what am i gunna do? im not spending 500 dollars on a new phone

HELP!!! Assurion Insurance

I need help getting my phone back to stock because my screen shattered and I am getting it replaced but I don't want to get the $500 charge when they find out that I rooted it!? I need help!!! I'm pretty new to this insurance thing I don't know how it really works but I want to be on the safe side!

Well i proccesed the claim a few minutes ago and they sai they were going to dive me a Epic 4g touch. But it be pretty cool if I got and upgrade. Sure will let yall know.

Just go start a claim and before it processes it'll show you what they'll send out and just cancel it at that point

Yea they're right, asurion doesn't care if its stock, rooted or covered in piss, they'll replace it care free as long as you pay the $100

they don't care if its rooted. This is not a manufacturers warranty, its a 3rd party private insurance. They insure hardware, not software

No the lady was a total ******* dint even let me ask questions but at least i got my phone next day, I called Monday evening and when i got home from work on Tuesday evening it was there already. Now time to root so I can use roam control.

Was it new in the box... ie, came in a retail box with battery, USB cable and charger. Or was it a refurbished device and came with out a battery and cables.

Yes retail as if bought fresh of the sprint store sealed and everything.

If I use my assurion insurance will I still be getting the og inc as a replacement?

Or will i be getting a newer refurbished version of the inc?

It's likely you'll receive an Inc 2 as a replacement but you never know.
