HTC Spark
Could you make a Custom Radio ROM for HTC Trophy ?

I dont realy get it
Please correct me if I´m wrong. The radio 5.54 is for HTC Europe and the other European radios are for a specific operators?
I´m on 5.54 non branded HD7 so I assume that I´m right
Is there any difference when I change the radio? Is it the same like on WM 6.5?
Thank you

5.54 is for asia if i'm not mistaken non branded i'm on that radio

actually radios aren't really branded to a operator or location.

as you see the only difference is the spl.
just try and see what is better for you.
with R/H spl you can flash every radio that is posted in this dev section.

Thank you for the explanation.
So it´s the same like on WM 6.5.
I´m ok with my radio,so I will pass this for now.

yes you can call it like that
and don't try to fix something that isn't broken
I on the other hand always try to brick things that aren't bricked

1. i'm currently in mango beta2 with radio 5.51.09xxxxx and i want to upgrade the radio to asia 5.54 (cause im now in asia, phone was from tmobile us), will this be possible using this steps?
2. in page 1 it states that hard reset will be performed after, it will retain my unlock right? jus to confirm
3. in case i successfully upgraded my radio, then the official mango was released (of course i need to go back to NoDo), will my new radio version be retained?
thanks.

Flashing an Indian version of Diamond ?

I've been going through many topics recently on flashing the diamond.. but iam a lil bit lost since my diamond is not a standard version.
in India, HTC launched the diamond through Airtel (a leading cellular operator) which is only a triband version !
only GSM/EDGE/GPRS NO UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA
i tried to download the official ROM update from htc.com , but on entering my serial number, it says the update does not support my device !
and there arent any update available on the Indian version of their site.
My device info:
ROM version: 1.37.720.2 WWE
ROM date: 06/16/08
Radio version: 1.00.25.03
Protocol version: 52.26a.25.09G
so my question is.. can i use those ROMs which are flying around ? or is it just the radio which i should be careful about ?
is the quadband support limited only through software (like the hardware already supports everything ? ) ?
ofcourse its a locked version, can i update the ROM and debrand it to the original version ? (unlocking it)
i highly appreciate anyone who could guide me on this
I too have the same questions... I too would like to have a faster diamond (1.93)
To install ROM on your diamond -
Install Hard SPL developers edition
Update Radio 1.00.25.05
Flash any ROM you want !
Guys please perform a simple search before posting a new topic .
Here's a big thread on INDIAN 2G diamond
Thanks a lot udayrulz for your response.. i hardly noticed that big thread on Indian 2G diamonds, sorry for that.
since iam new to this (iam not a total newbie, just new to the windows mobile flashing stuff, so hopefully i can grasp everything quickly) , can you point me in the right direction as to which version of Hard SPL i should use ? a search revealed lot of threads with lots of versions.. iam seriously lost !
and do you personally suggest any ROM ? (assuming you are also using the indian diamond)
TA
Use Olipro' Unsigned Hard-SPL first. Then flash the Radio to 25.05 and further on, its your choice..
Regards,
Carty..
Thanks everyone.. i think iam on the right track.. been trying different ROMs and tweaks. everything seems good so far
kudos to the community !
Hi does doing a Hard SPL also Unlock a Airtel Diamond..??

flashing wont unlock your Airtel Diamond, there are some ways by which you can do that.. search for diamond cid unlock.
i unlocked it by buying a code from htccode.com !
But would an unlocked phone get locked after using Hard SPL and updating the Radio and Rom?

Nope.. it wont !

Can I upgrade or do I need to hack it again?

Last year I receied my HTC Diamond with all this Vodafone stuff on it. I know I download some stuff here to upgrade/hack to the new firmware that was made available by HTC, but which I couldn't install since I had this Vodafone firmware on it. I know have:
ROM: 1.93.404.1 NLD
Rom date: 7/10/2008
Radio: 1.00.25.05
Protocolversion: 52.29.25.12H
Stupid question, but I see many versions being mentioned here, languages, exceptions etc. So, my questions:
1- Could I download the new, official firmware from the HTC site, or do I need to hack it again?
2- Can I download firmware from this site, and if so, what is the latest and most stable for my HTC Diamond?
3- I would like to have Windows Mobile 6.5. Can I install this and will it run on my HTC?
Thanks for helping out this noob

It depends whether your phone is GSM or CDMA. I don't know what Verizon is at the moment, I think they are CDMA but check that before doing anything. The above tutorial is for GSM versions so if your phone is CDMA please don't flash anything from that tutorial just read it to get a basic idea of what you should do.
You basically need a hardSPL flashed which is explained in the tutorial. After that, you can basically flash any ROM you like as long as you flash GSM ROM's if your phone is GSM or CDMA ROM's if your phone is CDMA.
i have e htc touch diamond GSM Version Rom 1.93.422.4 radio version 1.00.25.08 4gb internal storage bought in usa and now I use it in Europe (Albania). HTC won't let you download ROM updates from their site if you have a network-branded (ie, Orange, Vodafone) Diamond. For official ROM updates you need to check your phone network's web site.
is there anyway i could install an english language pack into my touch diamond 2 without i have to brake and flash it with a full flash??
I need to change the language to english from swedish but i would still like to keep the swedish language just incase....like on other multilanguage phones

Problem using HTC WM6.5 ROM with Rodium

I have essentially bad luck buying these phones. On my blackstone, i was able to work around it using USPL. Now, the rhodium i have, it's S/N doesn't work on any of the HTC download pages
i need help with diffusing the bootloader screen. What should i use to upgrade this phone to WM 6.5? I got the official rom from HTC in the end but can't use that cause i get "invalid vendor id".
Bootloader screen details:
Code:
RHOD100 32M SS-BC
SPL-0.79.0000
MicroP-Rhodium (LED) vA
MicroP-Rhodium (KEY) v4
TURBO HW/TURBO SW
TP MFG DATA
509,527 807,841
815,194 207,200
212,840 Calibrated
Why don't you just HardSPL and skip the s/n number hassle? You can still flash official ROMs with HardSPL, but you don't have to worry about which variant of the Rhodium the official ROM was made for (with the exception of the Russian ROM because of the region locking used). You can flash the stock HTC 6.5 ROM when you're HardSPLed or use one of the many excellent cooked ROMs this forum has to offer.

not actually my phone to hardspl cause it's my stepdad's. it's also the reason i need to use the offical
note: the phone is the 3g version
Where did you buy it from? try the HTC site from where you bought it from not where you are now, if no luck than you have to HARDSpl it, .. and BTW .. if you HARDSpl and installed an official ROM, the phone will be relocked to my knowledge (i.e. it is like you never HARDSpl after you install the official ROM)

Can you do something for us? Pull out the battery and look closely under where the battery was for the text RHODXXX, where XXX is a number like 100. Post that number here, and we can figure out what model of Rhodium you have, since there is no "3G Rhodium" model. It only really depends whether you have a CDMA-GSM hybrid or GSM only device, since HardSPL (if you want to use it) differs in versions based on that alone. The link I provided earlier in this thread holds all the information you'll need to know about HardSPLing your device (once again, only if you choose to do so). At least knowing your model number will let you know which HTC official ROM to download.
has this line under the BT symbol: HTC Touch Pro2 T7373 RHOD100
the phone connects to the optus 3G network. it has the HSPDA icon when your browsing on the net
Nice to see a fellow Aussie around. As far as I now there are two versions of the Rhodium floating around in Oz. Only one of which has an official WM 6.5 rom on the HTC website. The NextG 850mHz compatible model is still waiting for an official 6.5 rom to be released but Telstra and HTC are apparently working on it.
From the HTC website:
An updated ROM is now available for HTC Touch Pro2 users to download. As always, HTC is committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience. Please note that there are two versions of Touch Pro2 in Australia, and this ROM update is suitable for phones operating on the 900/2100 MHz network. ROM update for phones on the Next G network will be available soon.

i just found out the S/N worked on the Malaysian site (says South East Asia at the top). So i'm downloading that now.
should fix some things up in it. i had the feeling the phone was imported because the power adapter travel plug was not the 3-prong for aussieland

[Q] Difference between ROMS

Hi
Can anyone please guide me. Im little confused here.
I have TP2 with Windows 6.1 with ROM version of 1.19.702.2 Date: 06/22/09
Now I want to update it to Windows 6.5 and latest ROM
Will directly installing from following link, will it install Windows 6.5 and update ROM to latest as well?
http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=250&cat=2&dl_id=913
Or should I have to first download and install from following link and then install above ROM too.
http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=250&cat=2&dl_id=702

Those are the same thing, you can't install WM6.5 without flashing the whole ROM.
You want the first link you posted, if you want the latest update. The second link you posted is from 2009.
So from the ROM update from the 1st link it will also install Windows 6.5 on my mobile? or it will just update the ROM?
Updating the ROM is flashing Windows Mobile to your phone. Windows is not installed like it is on your PC to a hard-drive. It is 'flashed' into the ROM of your phone (along with other useful Apps and drivers). Flashing a different ROM will give you a different version or flavour of WM. (TP2 can run WM6.1, WM6.5 or WM6.5.x).
Who is your carrier? I know that T-Mobile has an official Windows Mobile v6.5 ROM available for their T-Mobile branded phones. So you may want to check with your carrier to see if they have one for you.
I did try the official Windows Mobile v6.5 ROM from T-Mobile and it was OK. But I had already been trying out various WM 6.5.x ROMs off of XDA before I tried out their official ROM.
To try out a customized ROM from here you'll have to do a few things first. If you are using a GSM TP2 (ATT, T-Mobile, etc) I'd advise going to the Touch Pro 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development page and read through a few posts first, specifically the thread Flashing your first GSM Rhodium ROM (for Noobs).
If you are using a CDMA TP2 (Verizon, Sprint) I'd recommend going to the Touch Pro 2 CDMA page for threads about ROMs for the CDMA TP2 and then reading the thread RhodiumW Hard-SPL Release.
Then don't hesitate to ask questions. There are plenty of people here on these forums that are willing to help.
As stated before this is very dependent on the type of device which you own so be careful when doing so. If you have a GSM (Att/T-mobile) device look in the upgrades section for that if you have a CDMA device (Sprint/Verizon) look in the upgrades section there. Read how to unlock and then you can flash a 6.5 or even 6.5.x ROM which is the latest in windows mobile. Be aware that flashing a ROM will wipe all your data it is not a simple upgrade procedure, you will need to get all your contacts, settings, apps, etc back on your device on your own so make sure you backup everything beforehand.
Hello
This is my first post so hope I am not out of line replying here.
I recently received my TP2 with Windows 6.1 with ROM version of 1.19.702.2 Date: 06/22/09. Also from Hong Kong.
I am thankful to find this thread and the great info here. But I have a similar situation with some additional questions.
Do I post the questions here?
If you want a stock windows without void warranty, you can from official website HTC download actuall ROM. You must write there you P/N so they know if the upgrade is for your TP2. If not, change country at their site and try again till you find the right ROM.
Example: i could not download till i didnt change country to czech republic.
If you dont mind to void warranty, go to developing section
