Drives me up the wall. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not.

Aha. Well well.
Care to elaborate?
The multitouch issue were "multitouch" becomes wonky (for lack of a better word), after periods of use. Best example: playing a game that uses multitouch. The only workaround right now is to turn the screen off and turn it back on. The software resets when screen is toggled on/off. THIS IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM.
I believe it's still an issue. I still have the problem on 4.0.3.
Multi-touch problems? Not on my phone. First i've heard of it.

You probably just didn't notice it. I didn't know about it until i read about it. Then i tested for it. Lo and Behold i had the same issue. It's probably a non issue to some people. This happens on any version of the GalNex
You will not see it until you play a game then test for it.
I have the multi touch in the bottom corners. It's an on/off and turning screen off temporarily relieves. It hasn't been a big problem, because I don't game often but just wondering if anything is on the table yet. I know it is software so it is easily fixed. Has anybody come up with a patch for it?

Is there something in the OS that can invoke this bug to occur? I have a stock unrooted and locked bootloader GSM GN and when I had 4.0.1, I never had any of these multitouch problems on any game that I played. Now with 4.0.2, this problem keeps appearing. It's really annoying
I just tried to do same as the guy in the video.. Everything is fine at my phone...
Playing ShadowGun and Riptide GP on mine produce this issue, and turning the screen on and off works for a few seconds, then it happens again.
Waiting on a fix here too.

You guys should go here --> http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=23044 and star this as well as leave a comment. Hopefully this will help get the ball rolling. It's happening across every model of gnex. I think that it's almost impossible that google doesn't know about this yet but whatev, can't hurt.
Just plugged my 900 in to add music from zune, when the update tag when off.
A Nokia update is available.
I'll run it and see what happens.

No idea....most of what Seek puts in his post about the flashed phone is very evident. They claim a battery fix is in there too...no way to tell yet. I searched the ms site...I didn't see an update notice yet
I just got it too....
I just got update too and the phone seems faster all around....Mine just encountered the bug today and went nuts...had to reformat and start over....If only it had come a few minutes sooner!!!!
no updates in canada , ****

I hard reset after update anyway....so it makes no matter to me. I keep docs and pics online...and use reinstaller....and so its fairly painless
My " green dot " phone got an update notification too, I'm hooking it up now to see if it does anything.
yeah im use to format
yeah im use to format...I had original focus with the sd card fiasco!!!
Hmmm, its updating my phone too. I'm skeptical to why, unless the "Green Dot" fixed phones were missing some of the fixes Nokia intended.
After the update, my phone now get no signal what so ever. Reboot, get the signal back. But after one phone call, no signal again. The update seems to make it worse.
wow nokia is fast at updating
My Firmware updated from 2175.1000.8112.12082 to 2175.1002.8112.12084
I had incredible battery life before the update, I hope I don't lose that. Maybe it will be even better???

"Well my phone is now stably locked onto 4G. No more hunting around like before. Its hard to prove a negative but this seems pretty good so far!"
Any luck for us Canadians ?? I am not seeing it via Zune
No update for Camada ? Wake up Rogers !
Nothing for Canada. I'm sure we'll see it this time next year, though.
Just installed the update. Scrolling is better. Still nothing compared to my HD7.
Load times are noticeably faster though.

try a hard reset?
I just want to know if any of you noticed that after the update that the screen color has changed in low light. I noticed that my keyboard is now a warmer color, like purpleish when brightness is set to low and if it is set to medium or high it is gray. It is bothering me because when brightness is set to auto and when i'm browsing the web I notice the color change from purple to gray when the automatic brightness changes from low to medium.
I know for sure my phone was gray on low, medium and High before I had it replaced for a mic issue. The new phone I got already had the updated software installed. I was just wondering if the new phone I got has a defective screen.
Hello there, M8 thread. Just upgraded from the M7 with Tmo Jump. LoL!!
So I was playing around with the phone and I can't get the camera gesture to work. All the other motion unlock methods are working just fine. I'm kinda sad because that's one gesture I know I'll be using.
Is the camera gesture working for anyone else? Am I picking up the phone wrong? =.P
I might go watch some YouTube videos and see what they do.
EDIT: So it's working now. I don't think I... well... I don't know. LoL!! But I knew that would happen. The moment I posted this, the *issue* would resolve. Well, playing with it now, there seems to be a sensitivity level. It looks like if you slowly pick it up and try it, it doesn't work.
I tried it as if I'm going to try and hurry and catch this picture and it worked. IDK...
Sounds like I need mines to be more sensitive. Hmm...
Cool phone, nonetheless.
I'm having an issue (small issue) where after I get done watching a video on YouTube my phone gets stuck in landscape mode. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or is it just me?
If I reset my phone it works fine for a while but then eventually the problem happens again.

What happens when you toggle portrait mode? Are you using live wallpaper? ?
It corrects itself when I manually toggle portrait mode but it's annoying to have to do that every time when it's supposed to do it on it's on. It's a small annoyance and not that big of a deal honestly. I was just curious if anyone else was having that issue.
I am not using a live wallpaper I'm just using a regular one.

Gotchya. Well, I'd start by cleaning out cache and data from the YouTube app, and remove any YouTube themes for starters. If that doesn't work, then it may be a sensor issue.

Ok. Well I guess I'll give that a try and see how it goes. Thanks!
Just got my phone and so far looking it. One thing I thought was a bit odd was as soon as I started seeing the phone up, I noticed developer mode was enabled right out of the box. Has anyone else experienced that?

You sure it was new?
Should have been. That's what im starting to wonder. It came straight from Google but wondering if it was a return.
It's a default thing
Did you have Dev Mode on with your previous device? I did and when I transferred my settings so did the Dev Mode status.
I did come from a pixel 2 which did have dev mode on. I wouldn't have thought that to be a setting to carry over.
