[Q] SIM Menu Bug in CM7

Guys,
I've installed the CM7 ROM, everything works fine, all great.
Just have one problem: I am using a DualSIM adapter and with this adapter, the SIM is changed by a SIM Menu. The SIM Menu opens correctly but whenever I try to choose one option in this Menu, nothing happens... Did anyone experience the same problem? Or can you try to use anything in your SIM Menu just to check if it is working?
Thanks in advance
DualSIM - STK Toolkit

I have exactly the same behaviour (Beta 6). SIMTookit support has been added in Beta 5 and as far as I remember it worked with that version, but I am not sure.
I also tried a nightly (110601-2348), same result.
It definitly worked with previous installed pays rom (4.0).
Currently i use it with the 007 option :
In this mode, you have to save a contact with number 001 (or 002) to your SIM card to switch to SIM 1 (or 2).
I had to place the adapter in a different phone to enable this mode.
I have a "MAGICSIM 3G", but as far as I have read in different forums, the SimToolkit application has the same functionality accross all suppliers.
Currently i use the "Copy To Sim Card.apk" for switching. It is not ideal, but it works. A second problem is, that the phone always reboots after switching.
With pays rom it only rebootet while switching from SIM2 to SIM1.
In general, the STK Toolkit support seems to work, because one of my SIM has a SIMToolkit application stored on the SIM to access some provider specific services. This application runs as intended.

[Q] SM-217S Question regarding phone status info

Hi, I recently bought a used Sprint Tab 3. It's a data sim card version but I only plan to use it for wifi. Previous owner did a factory reset. Everything works fine, I rooted it to get rid of bloatware, no sim notifications, sprint crap etc. However, when I go to settings -> about device -> status, it shows a user name, eg. "[email protected]" plus a phone number, MIN, PRL, etc. Tablet shows as connected to 3G network even though there's no sim card. If I enable airplane mode and reboot, all the fields show up as unknown and mobile network as disconnected, however the username remains.
I believe that info is from the previous owner, but where is it stored? I'm guessing the tab is getting it from the network even though there is no sim card in it to authenticate it which doesn't make sense. Removing all Sprint related stuff does nothing. I tried wiping the whole tablet and flashing a beta CarbonRom that was in the forums and the info still shows up in the about device status. I flashed back to stock rooted. Only difference is that android 4.2.2 has the username option while kit kat doesn't. Since I had made a complete backup of the tablet, I wiped the efs partition just for the heck of it and rebooted. Interestingly enough it removed the Sprint boot animations and replaced them with stock Samsung ones. Folder was recreated by android. Everything else is still the same. I was expecting the tab not to connect to anything anymore but I guess not. For all the doom and gloom that is said about wiping the efs partition, I was a bit surprised that it didn't absolutely nothing. There wasn't even a nv_data.bin file in it (although my S3 is also missing this file for some reason too.)
Any suggestions? I was thinking about trying to contact the person that sold it me, maybe he hasn't taken the tab off his account yet or something. If anything I can just keep airplane mode on with wifi enabled, still wondering how the tab is getting that info. I'd rather not have anything of the previous owner on it.

Question on SIM card info....

I am S-off, rooted, unlocked bootloader...But just went through some resets & other headaches yesterday trying to install the last OTA... Whatever I did, the phone seems to be having a few problems.
First, when I boot up, as expected, it seems to connect to the network pretty quickly. Then it finds my Wi-Fi and authenticates with it.
Then it switches to Wi-Fi calling... But it also then says there is "no SIM card". Really weird.
I downloaded a generic SIM card info app from the play store and looked at the information on my SIM card. From what it looks like, two fields are blank: (i) the SIM operator field, and (ii) the network operator field.
I am have not changed my CID so that's not a factor.
Can someone else here (who is on stock but rooted) check their SIM card to see if there are any values in these two fields?
Thanks!

SQLite Editor, Wifi Channels and settings.db locked

My Wifi is for good reasons on channel 13. Which is perfectly legal here. My H815 (root) refuses to connect to it unless it checks my location, based on what country my simcard (sic!) is from! Now my simcard seems to be broken, it won't be recognized by the phone. Or the LG G4 is broken :crying:
As annoying as this is, now I even miss my cell signal AND my wifi signal. You could force Android devices to search on all channels for Wifi. AFAIK this was done editing /data/data/com.android.providers/settings/databases/settings.db Maybe this works in 5.1 the same why, which is why I need to edit this settings.db.
I tweaked this db just perfectly on my Nexus 5 with the app SQLite Editor (Go check it out its great).
On my LG G4 when trying to access the settings.db I always get the error: "The database is currently locked by another process. Try again in a moment or two" By the way: Android-System locksettings.db shows the same behavior.
When I copy the settings.db to /data/data/com.android.providers/settings/ I will get the same error for the COPY of a database!
I need to copy it to my external SD Card and THEN I can access the database. A directory I created on my internal storage /sdcard/Internal is fine to. Now I can open that database. But I do not see the live information + the access rights of that copied settings.db look strange. No owner anymore. ( I use ES File Explorer) I am afraid to edit it and copy it back to:
/data/data/com.android.providers/settings/databases/settings.db
Any idea why I can not access my /data/data/com.android.providers/settings/databases/settings.db ?
Hi,
I had the WiFi Problem when I bought the LG G4 but didn't insert a SIM card.
My WiFi is on channel 13 but it didn't show up on the smartphone.
I contacted the LG support chat. They said I have to insert a SIM card.
When I inserted my German SIM card everything worked fine.
But then I switched on airplane mode and got the message again that not all WiFi network will be shown due to the unkown location.
I see that you are also German.
You can find my (German) solution on android-hilfe.de
Title: "LG G4 WLAN Fix - immer alle Kanäle"
Or here in english:
WiFi Fix - always all channels on 2.4 GHz
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/wifi-fix-channels-2-4-ghz-t3183160
Did it work?
Just saw your post. It reads like a perfect solution! I will try. Dankeschön! [emoji106]

Please confirm if it's working.
I testet it on V10c.
