I have always the same problem:when i do the first start on the messenger(registration,account,sincro etc..)i see my contact on line and offline.But restarted the device on the following accesses on the application the contact are all offline!(I don't visualize never the people online).
It happens only for me??

what i did is delete account and re-create account
in this way you will see the people again "online"
there must be a reg.fix for this...

Hello,
I have Orange UK Desire , I used to be able to download via 3g or WiFi apps and update them.
In the past few week the download starts , the updates are found .. but then it says " ready to download " and wont go any further .
We pages work fine , email etc etc .. but I cant down load any apps from the market place . I also have apps brain which links in with the market place and I get the same isue .
Any ideas?
i used to get this when i was low on space ( <13mb ) before i installed apps2sd.
In my case, i try to open in backgroud also google talk. As far as i know is some connexion between. If not try to cancel a
nd download again.

Have pressed cancel and restart m have tried this on a few networks now..
As I said all other " online " apps are fine, email , browser etc...

Try disabling WiFi and do it over 3G. That tends to happen when you switch from one to the other (IE gain/lose WiFi signal).
Tried that .. over wifi .. 3g ... gsm only .. egde etc etc ... still the same thing..
There seams to be a few entrys around on different forums, but no one has come up with any solutions .
May be linked with the recent change from email address , from " googlemail" to gmail ...
any other ideas?
Try to clear Market cache.

it's probably the googlemail to gmail thing, i couldnt access the market until i did a factory reset and setup the phone with the gmail address.
there may be another way round this? i didnt bother looking at the time.
switch your account back to googlemail and see if the market works again
Maybe fixed:
The issue is when you change your email address from googlemail to gmail in the uk , Android phones wont work correctly .( eg market place wont work , google talk / maps etc etc )
Google knows this
There solution is to either change your address on the phone and factory reset etc...
or change your name back to googlemail.com from gmail.com

If you have always had it then it's fine , as your phone will always know it's gmail , however if like a muppet you changed it .. like me , when asked ... change it back or blat your phone...
I thought using social hub would mike managing messages from multiple sources easier, so thought Id set it up... I have a few issues, can anyone help?
1) I have noticed however that it only seems to work when connected via wifi. Well, part of it, I couldnt setup my gmaill account over 3g, only when I got home and connected to wifi did it work first time. Ive since disabled wifi, and have connectivity issues to gmail again. Facebook worked fine over 3g.
2) If I go to the Accounts & Sync section, Manage Accounts, and select the Samsung account, theres nothing in it, and sunc is greyed out.. is this normal?
3) I went to the Social Hub website and tried to setup my phone, but its saying that the IMEI number is not valid for this service. It is a sim free, unlocked phone, supplied with Orange UK sim.
Could these issues simply be because of 3) ? I did read someonewhere that Orange UK phones should be able to use the service, but then my handset was sim free, unbranded...

Have you subscribed to social hub by setting a premium account?
When you set a new account if you tick the option for premium account you get a welcome message from social hub.
Otherwise you're not registered

Just setup samsung account on the phone, and it appears to go through, but when I then go back to the Samsung Account, the sync button is greyed out, and if I enter the account, theres nothing listed under Data & Sync.

Samsung account is only a sort of registration I think used for Samsung Apps update check

Still puzzles me why it works over wifi on the phone but not over 3g!
I have got the same problem too. It happens after I deleted my account in IM.

Why not the USA, let me get my tomakawks ready
Got samsung GT-I9100G from Saudi Arabia but unable to use it in India
With only few hours of use, here are the visible improvements of S8500XPKG6 firmware over the previous S8500XPKG5:
The Good
1. No need to set debug level to "Low". Very rare crashes.
2. Kies can now detect phone firmware information
3. Apps can now be downloaded and installed via kies.
4. Now you can delete/replace your Samsung accounts (e-mail and pwd) from "Accounts" after signing in.
The Bad
1. "Add account" in Accounts take so loooong to respond (at times even stalls) when pressed to add new account.
2. Route 66. No option to sync license. Only option to buy (even if you already have an active license).
3. Search results in Samsung Apps is nearly invisible ; font size is very very small (same in KG5).
4. All games apps/games that did not play in KG5 don't also play in KG6 firmware (e.g Asphalt5, FinalStrike 3D, Turbo Granny, etc).
And The Ugly?
This is left for all who have used the new firmware version to share their experiences here .
I had to switch to "low" or google app and other applications would not open and the blue screen appeared.
The Facebook app is unstable in my case. If I send a status update works, but if I try to comment on my status or the status of someone the app crash . I can only write in status through the social hub, but there does not have all the features like the app.
Gmail only downloaded the first 50 messages stored in e-mail (which are 2007), I can not get recent messages.
The apps that I installed did not work.

All my e-mail accounts work fine. I only selected "Last week" in setting, so they retrieve only mails in the last one week. Maybe because I am using "socialhub premium" activated.
Some apps don't work but some do. Bruce Lee, NFS Shift, Diodict dictionaries, Al Jazeera Live, SPB TV, France 24 Live, etc, all worked.
Though I have not observed any crash or blue screen so far (on default debug level Middle), there may still be the need to set debug level to "Low" if you experience crashes.
For me in some aspects is better,but in other...I've just found out that i can not download apps at all via the samsung apps on the phone itself.Invalid pasword on both my samsung accaunts..I've written it several times and every time i am sure it's the right one.Whatever..
p.s. Do not ever put the dictionary widget on the homescreen.It will get your phone to endless bootcycle and you will have to flash again.

The @ live work, only gmail that does not receive new emails, only appear the first 50 of 2007 lol.

My phone always install apps/games in internal storage even though i've selected memory card in Installation location. Is it a bug in KG6 ?

@hisee For me, STune is working, maybe your driver is too old.
@crionic I got that problem, too. But: you can solve it easily: it's the dictionary that tries to build a word from what you type. (it does that regardless whether globally disabled or not, so it's a bug). Longer tap on the key that shows your lang-code (eg: the globe with EN or whatever) and the options will open, disable text recognition, delete the already typed chars and re-enter your password. That's it.
@hany0u That the apps won't work is *not* a bug. Bada 2.0 is a new major version with API changes. Apps that work (several, eg: Spirit, TurboFly 3D, Caligo Chaser, EVAC, Radiant, Buka etc pp) simply never used the changed API. All others need to be updated, so I excpect them to work around September, when the final is coming out.
when i access to you tube or picasa through communities upload' my phone restaring. even i put debug level low. and also samsung application giving error "network not found" any solution. thanks for advance.
New font (Samsung Font) is a little too wide in other languages, than English. It could be good to left us choice which font we will use - old or new. Choco cookie is childish IMO.

I dont think its an issue in KG6, i could insall many apps in card., including NDRIVE. u may hard reset ur phone or flash again.
