Is invisible shield just not good anymore?
I think I'll try this Armorsuit...I just received the SGP screen protector....suck and overpriced..lucky I got it from Amazon...easy return service....
I got the Steinheil Ultra Crystal (SQ) and the fit (some air around the camera) and quality is really good (been using Steinheil screen protectors for years on my phones). I got my from Amazon.com and its kinda expensive but its like $21/year =).
This isn't the place I got my, but you can see all the different types.

couldn't find one here, hence bought a notebook screen protector and pruned it for perfect fit on my galaxy tab plus used the remnant for my phone.
I'm worried if I put an Invisibleshield screen protector on my GT 10.1 it will leave a permenant haze or film on the the screen when I decide to take it off. Can anyone offer any information? Thank you
I got this.

3x screen protectors for $10 shipped. They're matte. Fit almost perfect (1mm smaller than the actual glass to prevent lifting).
I dont see any reason for a screen protector other than wanting to have a matte screen to remove the glare.

Most of us actually prefer our screen (gorilla glass or not) scratch-free. Having a protector gives you ease of mind when rubbing a smudge or fingerprint off too.

I just installed that exact same one from the same seller. Fits perfectly, especially around the camera and ambient light sensor. It adds a little bit of a grainy texture to the display, but all anti-glare films I've used do that. Not sure if it's really got an anti-grease / oleophobic coating as mine has some decent fingerprints, but the matte surface hides it well.
Tip to line it up the first time: before you take off the backing, line it up how you want it. Scotch tape it 3x on one of the edges, preferrably the one with the pull-tab for the backing. Make a tape handle for the opposite end of the screen. When you're ready to install it, hold the tape handle and pull the backing off with the tab, then pull the handle tight as you lay down the protector.
Trust me, I went through at least 7 different screen protectors (I got the Asus, Acer, and Samsung) and this is by far the best one out there. Good luck.

How does it stack up against InvisibleShield and the other 3M Scratchguard types? I usually don't like the texture on those.
Don't know about the ones I've been hearing about in this thread, but I've got InvisibleShield on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and I'm probably never taking it off. It works wonders and I have the same protector for my HTC Evo. Never need another screen protector once you go InvisibleShield.
I myself have been searching for a screen protector for my tab. I have the invisishield on my evo4g, and I find that it adds quite a bit of sticky friction to swiping, or any time you drag your finger across the screen. It's not so important on the phone as it would be on the tab, so here's my question:
What sp will offer some protection, but doesn't add much friction to the touch experience.
Appreciate the input!

The one I mentioned above is smooth. The matte finish makes it feel more like high gloss paper than glass. I'm considering buying a clear protector from the same company though as the "sparkly" effect that the matte finish adds to the screen (esp. things that are solid green for some reason) is getting on my nerves.
I have the zagg invisibleSHIELD maximum protection, is was a little skeptical at first but really like it now the i have had it on for a coupke weeks. There is more grip to the tablet now, but i can still slide my fingers over the screen with no issues. I will say this though, if you have never installed something like this take your time whrn installing it.

Apologies if it has already been asked, i may have missed it.
I'd like to have a specific anti-glare screen protector, the glossy screen is not bad but still very reflective, a part from the usual fingerprints issue.
Any product that suits my needs?

After trying alot of screen protectors i endup running to these basalguardz screen protector only for $7.99 and here is my quick review.
For the past 3 days I have been using the BasalGuardz Premium Quality Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protectors (3-pack) Screen Protector. Here is my quick review:
Really easy to install. Fits the Nexus perfectly
Very thin. No reduction in touchscreen sensitivity.
Clear and remains visible under daylight.
Has a texture on its surface that I really like.
Tough, So far no scratches.
Whats in Box:
3 BasalGuardz Premium Quality Screen Protectors - Anti-Glare/Matte
1 Micro Fiber Cleaning Cloth
1 Application Card
here is a link if anyone interested for $8 cant go wrong.

Are these comparable to the PowerSupport screen protectors for Apple products?
Starting to get tired of the Zagg's tackiness.
They are pretty darn cheap for a 3 pack I might just order one.
Ya I had iPhone 3gs pretty close to power support. Before this I had zagg just terrible quality and fitting on top wasn't that great and orange peel. Glad I find out this sp

Just bought the pack of three off amazon, $8.49. Had some leftover amazon credit and used it anyway.
I'll update on the quality/comparison to power support.

Just got mine in today. Gonna install them later when I can steam the bathroom, but doing a preliminary fit, they cover the screen perfectly.
Edit: After install the bottom edge does not want to stay down. Not much of a problem for me as I have a case on the way.
It does add a rainbow effect to the screen that is most prominent on whites or brighter colors. Don't know if it'll go away with time, but I am willing to live with it for now because the feel is way better than the Zagg.
It is definitely easier to slide my finger around. Does not attract much fingerprints and the anti-glare works well enough for me.
Overall, I'm happy with it. Mostly because of the price and improved feel over the Zagg. I'll have to do some long-term testing regarding the rainbow effect and if I can put up with it.

Just got mine and put one on. Fit is better than most, but the blasted curved edges do cause the top and bottom to lip up. I have an otterbox commuter so i don't even see the bottom just a little lipping at the top. Overall besides that, the cutouts are exact, the camera is perfectly cut and the earpiece looks good too. The anti glare effect is not for everyone, but i do appreciate it although it causes graininess. Barely any grease gets on this guy which is amazing. 8/10 for these protectors.
As compared to powersupport: take it like this... unless powersupport themselves makes protectors for the nexus, these are a clear runnerup to them.
One thing that is EXREMELY frustrating is that they used the system of two tabs on one edge to apply the protector, and they made the two tabs at the bottom of the protector, allowing for zero focal point to pivot the protector. Really wish they put them at the top. I still managed a perfect fit though

I just received mine. Here was my application method:
- Wipe with Windex electronics wipe
- Wipe with included microfiber cloth
- Spray with air duster can
- Peel off first layer and apply tape to the adjacent corner
- Position and press down with included card or plastic squeegee
- Peel off last layer and smooth out with microfiber and card
I LOVE the texture. Swyping is much easier. The matte finish is nice and goes well with my Qubits case. It does however make the screen look a bit grainy. Not so noticeable on dark colors, but when looking at lighter screens (i.e. Message app) it's noticeable.

I agree with the swiping, this matte finish has literately no friction that glass or plastic would have on your fingers, whether their dry, wet, or greasy. Antiglare films are one reason why my Temple Run session was extremely high on the iPod, lol.
Can anyone with this screen protector post some pics or video? Thanks.
+1 ^
I think im going to pull the trigger on these been looking into matte protectors an the reviews for these seem to be better than the rest, wouldn't mind seeing a video or a few pictures before i purchase but im getting real tired of the verizon protector i have
I've said it before in a different thread that the display quality of these devices are absolutely amazing, it would be a pity to ruin that with a screen protector. There isn't a true perfect screen protector, but the two I'd recommend is either XO or martin fields. The basal is cheap, but martin fields is also dry and super clear. However, it is a oil magnet just like the XO.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow when I get to the office. I just put a new one on tonight and it came out very nice.
By reading these comments, wouldn't this screen protector be the same quality as the one Verizon sells? I used to have the Verizon one but I stepped away because of the grainy look on white screens (difficult to read sometimes).
Here are a couple of pics.
Thanks for the pics, they look very good to me, im sold about to jump on amazon and order right now.

I purchased this based on some feedback I had read one some other forums. I have tried nearly every major screen protector out there (Spigen, RearthUSA, Incipio, Switcheasy, BodyGuardz, XO Skins, Best Skins Ever, a ton of cheap ones off Amazon, Zagg, etc.). Up until this point, I had always found the Ultra Crystal from Spigen to be the best overall. Not anymore.
Before I get started I want to mention that the Martin Fields Screen protectors are not cheap. One screen protector for the Galaxy Nexus is $16.99 ($34.99 for one iPad protector and $29.99 for one Nexus 7 protector)and it only comes with one screen protector and a set of instructions. That's it.
One issue I've always found to be a huge problem with these dry, crystal clear screen protectors (Again, think Spigen Ultra Crystal) is that they show fingerprints so easily that it really can become a huge nuisance and to my surprise this one doesn't show much at all. I would say it's nearly as good at resisting fingerprints as a matte finish screen protector.
A very innovative feature this screen protector offers is that it is completely removable. They include a Mylar sheet that you can stick it to if you need to take it off. Just apply a small piece of scotch tape at the bottom corner and slowly pull to remove it. This does bring up the biggest problem that I have with this protector though. It is somewhat brittle. It will crease if you aren't careful with it. In fact, if you look in the pictures I have posted, you'll notice a slight crease in the bottom right corner. I've emailed the seller that I purchased it from on Amazon to see if they'll replace it. Not sure if that'll happen and it isn't all that distracting.
Quick Summary:
PROS:
As clear as any I've ever used
Does not pick up oils like most clear, dry application screen protectors generally do
Feels as close to glass as anything I've ever used
Reusable
Covers entire screen
Comes with a Camera Lens cover as well
CONS:
Not cheap. If you purchase directly from MartinFields.com it is $16.99 + $4.99 shipping. Be aware of fakes on Amazon.
Doesn't come with much. Just a simple paper package, a screen protector and a Mylar sheet to apply it to if you decide to take it off and use it later.
Fragile, it will crease if you aren't careful
Almost too big. If you don't line it up absolutely perfect it will not adhere on the sides, bottom. It's almost cut too perfect to a fault.
Anyway, here are some pictures. I had just ran my palm down the screen to show you just how well this does on hand oils.

I already have one but I will concur with everything you said
Mine creased before I put it on but I was able to bend it back and can't tell you where the crease ever was at this point. Mine is scratched up pretty good at this point but I'm hard on phones so it's not surprising. I've yet to find a screen protector that holds up to my use.
Mind had a crease initially. I contacted their support line in Hong Kong and they had one sent out to me the next day. I ended up buying one for my Nexus 7 and my iPad 3.
It's weird, the Ultra Crystal's and many other dry application protectors leave blue smears when you try to wipe away fingerprints. These don't. They are there but they don't leave that annoying blue greasy smudge.
Hey guys,
I need a screen protector which covers the whole front (not the borders). My Nexus's screen broke and I installed a new screen and now I can't find which one did I use earlier. It was perfect.
Attaching a photo of the previous one.
Thanks
I just bought the official Verizon screen protectors last weekend. You get 3 for 12.99. Just don't get the glare proof ones as they distort the color.

How do they fit?
i really have never used any screen protectors for my samsung phones. I never have had any scratches whatsoever and I am pretty rough with my phone.
Wow, really? :/ Not at all? Even I don't want to apply a protector. The Beauty of the phone dies!
I just got my Galaxy Nexus off eBay and I bought ArmorSuit MilitaryShield - Samsung Galaxy Nexus Screen Protector Shield with Lifetime Replacements
$9.95 from Amazon.com
I bought one an ArmorSuit shield for my Nexus 7 and it is GREAT.
I posted a review on Amazon.com, basically stating:
FLAWLESS installation. No bubbles, no overhangs, no dust. No "orange peel" texture like you get on the other brand (rhymes with Bagg). Save Money and get this TOP QUALITY protector. When I showed my Nexus 7 to my friends, they couldn't even tell that it had a screen protector on, and this one on my Galaxy Nexus looks just as great!
If you follow the instructions, (it is a wet install- but super easy) and take your time, you should get similar results. I will never buy any other brand of screen protectors.
I'm still using the same XO Skins from last December. It' still holding up great but I'm curious to try out this no screen protector thing now and see what happens.
I'll probably keep the screen naked. I'm loving the feel of it. And anyway, the whole front glass of the phone is just for 16$. :/
OR I might just buy the armor suit shield
Ghost armor is what I've been using since my S. Pretty transparent and it's slightly oleophobic so any oils that build up wipe right off. Dust likes to cling to the edges though.
Hey Guys. Went ahead and purchased both the Anti-Glare and the Ultra Clear version of the COD iONIC screen protector for our Note 10.1 (2014 ed). Following prices are on Amazon as of Nov 1, 2013:
COD Screen Protector Film Matte (Anti-Glare) for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition Tablet (3-pack) - $4.85 (+$3.85 shipping)
COD Screen Protector Film Clear (Invisible) for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition Tablet (3-pack) - $9.85 (free shipping with Prime)
I took a few up close pics with my DSLR to compare text clarity, and also have a video review to compare in addition to clarity, light diffusion, and how they work with the S Pen. Also did a video to better compare not only text clarity, but also light diffusion, and to show how well the S Pen works with each.
After using both of these protectors you really can't go wrong with either one. But if you plan on using the S Pen a lot, go with Ultra Crystal and you will be happy. If you want to see these pictures in higher resolution, checkout the source images on my Project Log.

I'm going to keep both of these protectors on for the next few days, so if you guys have any questions, let me know. :good:
EDIT: One thing I forgot to note, the Anti-glare also does a good job hiding finger prints, whereas the Ultra Clear is a finger print magnet.
Nice Review!
I also installed a matte anti glare screen protector. The brand is kwmobile but the cutouts look awfully similar to the ones on the video.
Regarding the s-pen. I replaced the rubbery tip with the plastic one (those were provided with the tabled). This actually gives great pencil and paper feel and does not feel tacky at all.

Thanks, I just ordered both of these last week to see which one I would like better. After listening to your review, I will probably go with the anti glare.
I ordered the invisible one on amazon last week, but when i got it i think its an anti-glare. i dont have the package with me today but im pretty sure it said "anti" on it. ill look tonight.
Just installed mine today. It's the crystal clear version. Looks perfect. Can't even tell there is a screen protector on.

The Anti-glare cuts down on light reflection and diffuses overhead lights a bit. As to whether or not you will need to use your glasses, totally up to you.

Very nice review. I installed the matte screen protector yesterday, and I like it. But you definitely need to switch to one of the hard nibs for the s-pen. Otherwise, it "sticks" to the screen. Out of the five spare nibs that came with my tablet, two of them are the hard ones.

This should get better with time. I noticed that when I first applied the screen protector the stylus stuck, but over time this went way.
I bought a pack of anti - glare screen protectors from ebay and they are horrible, unbelievably grainy, render the beautiful screen useless lol...I do love the fact its anti-glare but whats the point when it makes the screen look terrible.
But I can't find COD screen protectors in the UK at the minute , Anyone using a good anti - glare screen protector in the UK...I want it to be like zero grainy as otherwise I'd just stick with a clear screen protector.
Sigh, I fail at applying these properly. I've already burned through my second and it still looks god awful. Hopefully my third and final attempt will be better because I keep misaligning the damn thing.
Edit: Okay so i managed to get the last one on perfectly..what I don't understand is WHY is there some random streaks of residue under the screen...?
Really unsatisfied here, I might just take this screen protector off when my case gets here. These streaks look really bad. Not even sure what its from. Also a little annoyed that the package showed up bent. After flexing the screen protectors a bit, there was still a slight bend, but they stuck on just fine. It's just the leftover residue that bothers me.
