facebook link in contacts

i apologise if this has already been answered.
i just recently flashed dutty's 2.3 rom and everything seems to be running smoothly.
i went into contacts and linked my facebook profile with my phone, it gave me an option to link contacts from phone to face book, and the save photos and birthdays from facebook.
no photos or birthdays have updated? anyone else have this problem.

Problem syncing Exchange calendar

Got a big problem with ActiveSync on the Desire.
Mail and Contacts sync just fine, but it gets to Calendar, tries a dew times then says "Synchronization is experiencing problems".
(Actually this time it;s just trying again and again and not stopping for some reason!)
I noticed a few comments about this in another thread about a cooked rom, but no solutions.
Anyone got a solution?
If not, how do I go about troubleshooting/looking at logs? I'm a WM man and this is my 1st Android baby.

Not much help other that to say my calendar is syncing fine to Exchange.

HTC Sync 2.0.33
HTC released a new version of HTC Sync version 2.0.33, give it a try and see if it solves your problem.

The problem was actually with the mailbox. Well, kind of, cos my WM6.5 machine synced fine with all the calendar items, but HTC Sync apparently has a problem with recurring item (according to very helpful supporty), so I cleared out loads of old calendar items and it was happy.
Will try the new version...

[Q] Sync my contacts only with miui au

Hy there,
I just installed MIUI-AU rom in my htc desire, and i noticed a very annoying thing:
There is no option to tell the phone to just sync "my contacts". Now my contact list is filled with contacts with just a email.
When i had the original rom or the leedroid i had a option to just sync the my contacts.
So the question is how can i tell the phone to stop sync all contacts?

Okay I am running CM7 on my HTC Wildfire (Buzz),
The problem that I have is every time I log into Facebook on the official Facebook app that I downloaded from android market it always asks me to sync my contacts even after telling it that I don't want to.
with your answer please consider that I have also tried actually syncing as the app requests but I still receive the question every time I log in even if I did sync so how do I stop it from asking? anyone else experienced this? it never happened on HTC stock Roms...

Hi, I'm running a similar set up to and not received any issues. It did ask me to sync the 1st time but i've not seen it come up again.
If you go to settings and then accounts & sync, see if your FB account is in there and turn sync to OFF.
You do this by clicking the account and then unchecking 'sync contacts'

[Q] How does facebook sync work on 4.0.3 ROMs?

Hi guys,
I am running a 4.0.3 ROM which has the facebook sync, but how the hell does it work?
In accounts and sync I have everything checked, and all seems ok from within facebook too. My contacts have the facebook link already added, but for some reason it is not pulling the picture back. Am I doing something wrong here?
