Android Market Not complete after rooted

Hi, i have successfully rooted my HTC EVO 4G and i can use wifi tethering
but i notice that android market is not complete (what i mean is: when i search for slingplayer, does not show) does it make any diffreces?
how can i just update android market or i need to update everything
currently my evo
2.1 Update 1
Baseband: 1.36
Kernel: 2.6.29
PRL: 60662
Does anyone have same issue it seems android market not complete. Please give me suggestion how can i install this program outside android market or need to have use android market OR HOW CAN i update my android market

My market shows sling player just fine. I searched for 'sling' and it showed up. Not sure why yours won't.

Where to download appbrain?
It's weird it seem my Android market.is very less product
Anyway I can fix this

I found appbrain but still I need to know why my android does not have alingplayer and this indiccate that something not right or not complete on my delis market

Which ROM are you running?

Isn't this a known issue with 2.2? I think there are fixes for the market floating around.

You must mean the stock 2.1 Android ROM. "Droid" is the name Verizon has given to a line of their Android phones.

[Q] Some Apps not showing up in market / InsertCoin 1.1.4

Hi,
having installed InsertCoin ROM 1.1.4 on my HTC Desire, evrything works fine so far, except that the market on my Phone will now show fewer apps than before. When browsing the market from my PC, the missing apps will be displayed as being not compatible to my phone - while they have been before changing from the original ROM (which was FroYo...)
Examples are "Kinderanästhesie-Rechner" or "HandyTicket Deutschland" on the Market (sorry, as a new user I'm not permitted to post outside links)
Any ideasto fix this behaviour?

Try to clear data and cache from market in application settings.

Thanks for the hint, but that didn't do the trick. The apps are shown as incompatible in the web market after logging into my gmail-account and won't show up in a market search from the Desire's market.

So you, mean it isn't because of the ROM? If I'm right...

you could also try "market enabler"
mybe when you switch to an alternative provider you can download
other thing could be that the "desire" is not supported, had this a few times -.-
you could try search the app in an alternative market, or download from the dev...

Thank you all for your replies, but the problem is, before changing ROMs, these apps were not shown as being incompatible. I'm not a pro, but I guess it somehow moght come down to the ROM.... same issue on my wife's phone, though, same model and same ROM.

maybe you can solve the problem if you change the build.prop
there is the build number, in some cases the market wont let you download if you dont have the right
but the current roms have mostly the "3.14.405.1 CL96875 release-keys" and thats the official gingerbread build number from htc
but if you change it to a froyo one maybe it gets better
the thing is i dont know if you can edit it on an flashed rom, if its posssible just in fastboot/recovery mode with adb
or if you edith it before flashing the rom

[q] htc desire (bravo) problem with cm7 nightly 203

before i had installed cm7 7.1-rc1 and i purchased berlitz italian-english and berlitz espanol-italiano from android market.
now i installed cm7 nightly-203 and i can't see those softwares anymore on android market.
if i go on market.android.com and select "no filter" i can see software purchased but if i try to install there is a pop-up saying: "this app is not compatible with your device (WIND HTC HTC DESIRE).
same problem with miui xj 1.9.9
how can i solve the problem?

some apps are not compatible with all devices, so if your new rom makes market think it is a different device to your old rom your apps may not show up

the problem is I don't see some apps that i did not buy like other vocabularies and not only those I purchased.
If I reinstall cm7-rc1 all is ok and i can see many more apps either those i purchased and not.
i think is something related to like cm7-rc1 makes seeing device at market and when i change rom that something there isn't.
That is when i install cm7-rc1 i can see more many apps than when i install cm7 nightly 203 or miui xj 1.9.9. Purchased or not.
For example if connet to market and search "berlitz", market says "71 apps found" but i can see only 8 if i install cm7 nightly 203 or miui xj 1.9.9. and 67 if i install cm7-rc1.
Very strange.

Hi all
I have a weird problem here
I can not update "almost" any of my application on the new market 3.1.5
When I press on update it keep saying "Loading" without loading the page.
This happened with almost every application I have
The weird thing is that I can download and install new application !!!!!!!!!
I dont know what to do !??!!?!?!?!
Also I have notes that this market is slower than the older one, I dont know if this is normal
My Phone is Desire and I am on Cyanogenmod 7 Rom (Andriod 2.3.3)

Have you tried updating to the 3.1.6 market? I believe that has some bug fixes

It seems that I have been away for centuries, coz this is the first time I heard that there are a new market version “3.1.6”
So could you pls tell me how to update to it ?!?!
As the last one I didn’t need to do anything actually, I only hit the market icon and it updates it self

I am also having the same problem's as you on my D3, DX and OD with different users and while using both wifi and 3g. The only permanent fix that I could come up with is freezing "market updater" with Titanium Backup and than uninstall updates for the market apps by doing this settings>applications>Manage applictions>Market>uninstall updates. It puts me back onto market ver. 2.3.6 (which works fine).

Yeah, the new market is slower than the old one. Reasong for this might be our phone's hardware. I recommend to go back to old 2.3.6 market. Works like a charm.

Yea man, you aren't going to get any help without giving us more details.... What kind of apks? Where are they from? What do you mean you "can't install them"? Does it give you an error? Are you rooted? What rom? What kernal?

I had this issue a while back, go into Titanium Backup and fix permissions.
It's worth a shot.

market wont load
I installed destroyer rom on my HTC evo 4g, I have android version 2.3.3, kernel version 2.6.37.3-cyanogemmod-0123-g53c6890 [email protected] #1, (whatever that means), CPU info ARMv&7 processor rev2 (v7l), MOd vers cyanogenmod-7.0.0-rc2-supersonic-kang, build # GR140. I hope all this info helps, wasnt sure what you guys would need to help fix problem but here is whats going on.
when i click on the market icon , it acts like it wants to load but doesnt, if i clear data, it then asks to create google account,..I have a google account, but when i click okay to create google account it doesnt do anything..
not sure if this is related but also tried to install flash player and it would install..
I am really new to this, and probably shouldnt have attempted to root my phone and install other than stock stuff...but everything else works and its definetly really fast, and cool...
any suggestions

For one thing, Destoyer was based on Android 2.1 I'm pretty sure, so that COULD be an issue. I mean, it's a pretty old ROM.

Hey man, I say flash a new rom, try some of these listed below
e3d shooter port (has 4g and sense 3.0)
Synergy (4g and sense 2.1 also extremely stable) - my daily driver
FEARmede (no 4g, runs sense 3.5) - Jared and dropzero work hard on this and things are getting fixed everyday.
if you like aosp try
cyanogen mod (4g very stable, have to install gapps to get market)
miui (no 4g, very clean ui, iphone replica almost is your an iphone fan)
savage mod 1.4 (4g, stable, the rom i run when using aosp)

I am running cm7.1 I cannot install any non market apps unknown sources are checked but I cannot get apostle to install. I get to the install screen try to push the button and it dose nothing. I have the stock kernal. Also since o Jane upgraded to 7.1 my video chat dose not work I use oovoo because this is the only app that work on Canada to US.
