how to install customize themes on S8530XPKG6
when i try to install says unsupported file. thanks for advance.
Sorry but how its possible to find theme for BADA 2 if its beta and theme creator doesnt existe, then now i try to dump file to change it but its other compresed system not like bada 1.2 RC1 !!!
For 1.2 to exract Flash and png its easy
Hexedit PNG Bigining 89504E47 End AE426082
This way you can find it too in bada 2 firmware rc1 but its other compression algorithme maybe some one can helps or tell us if isnt signed 1024rsa !!!
Wait! Any .smt file cam installed on Bada, right? Be it any version?
Here is What i do
1. Connect the phone to Stune 1.0.6*
2. Under the Browser tab Go to AppEx\User\Theme\Download
3. Copy your *.smt file**
4. Disconnect and you will find the theme in the Display menu in the settings
*: New Stune 1.0.7 Doesn't work with bada 2.0 (1.0.6 is attached)
**: the file should be adapted for 2.0 themes so don't use 1.2 themes
P.S : i tried to add a font in AppEx\User\Font\Download and it appeared in the menu put when chose it wasn't applied correctly
Best Regards
@mylove: Great news that the fonts are appearing in the settings! But what do you mean with "it wasn't applied correctly"? Was there some error message?
After applying it i noticed that i got the default font and nothing changed
there was no error messages at all
Maybe we need a special font format not like the regular *.ttf files used with PC
Best Regards
Maybe the fonts need to cover special characters for other languages. Please try the font in the attachment.

Go to the android app store online...downlaod a font and see the format it is in.....IDK how to see the format....!!! It will be in the same format i believe!
Just use Tkfile !!!
In Bada 2 Theme its realy different then bada 1
Its all Flash animation.
I prefered KD6 icon because its much bigger and gui its much faster

Where are the language files?
Is the language file is the CSC?
Is it enough to just change the csc and language change?
If I take csc Israeli and installs it on the new version of bada
Is the device supposed to be in Hebrew now?
I changed the CSC and the language has not changed ... I've pre-configeration and nothing happened except that I now can not even choose a language ...
I wish you would answer the questions ... Thank you and good day!
same Questions as you .can someone help me ,what to do? thanks!
as i know the fonts of the languages are in rc1 file so you can read your language with rc1 but if you want to type with your lang you have to use csc file
Hebrew language
hii litebass2
nice to find more Israeli's here ...
I wish the answer was simple - actually the rc1 file is holding the language files
the keyboard the X9 settings and all
and CSC file contains the operator settings and regional settings
we need combination of both .
By the way - do you have PTR or PCL firmware for 1.2 ?
10x
before few month I flashed my phone to bada 2.0 (i have S8530 from pelephone..)
and I saw that the firmware is not hebrew..a
so I made hebrew firmware base on PCL without keyboard
cause we cant upload files to Rc1 file..and to get the keyboard files with Stune for ex.
but you have to understand its doesn't matter the "operator setting" and the "regional setting"
if you have not the files the make the
firmware hebrew you will not have hebrew on your phone
now I have the original PCL version
Because I gave the device to repair and "Pelephone" given me back new device
Tried with Wave Remaker ?
after looking and looking the net I have found PCL ver or 1.2
i have taken ( I think) all the important files from the Rc1 and transferred them to the new rc1 of bada 2.0 but I cant sign the file with wave remarker to reupload them via multiuploader to the phone
i can sign the pfs file - the csc and shp and i have great custom ver but I coudnt with rc1 file - which is the important file
did you try ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=984482
For language support minimum requirement:
Font in *.ttf (True Type Format)
bada 1.x
System/Font (RC1 file)
bada 2.0
SystemCSC/Font (CSC in compressed part)
Text is in rsr files
SystemCSC\String
Both RC1 and CSC compressed part is hard nearly impossible to Edit now...
Please, btw...
Try to read other Threads and better deliver anwsers, instead open ever new Thread for same Question...
And nobody investigate deeper.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200864
[Q] Changing the system font
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=910275
Please, this time download your Firmware...
Investigate deeper and post results...
Like how to edit... *.rsr files...
You could compare for instance some files, maybe no changes between bada 1.x and bada 2.0 Strings...
I have no problem... my German is supported in every Font and English too...

Local font
From where I can add local font to wave?
and honestly where's the thank button?
Previously I posted the same topic on Galaxy s forum and here is the update file for galaxy s2
What does it do:
this update file will add Samsung and swype keyboards with Persian/Arabic/Urdu support to your deodexed roms.
please consider this update has nothing to do with RTL allignment if you like to have RTL support for above mentioned langs follow madmack thread
Why I post this file here:
although the galaxy s update file might work on GS2 but some fonts may cause problem on I9100 ,moreover the swype keyboard on GS2 has some improvements which I prefered to make a new update
Version2 added below, some fonts appear large on screen or keyboard thus I have changed them to fit the screen and keypad layout
How to install:
-Do a backup first
-download this file and install from CWM recovery
(version2 : improvements on fonts)
HTML:
http://www.multiupload.com/6ZBQSTQKAV
(version1)
HTML:
http://www.multiupload.com/4ZTZDEXKCD
I have tested this file on my phone but I can not assure it will work on all roms, please try it and report back for future improvements.
Good work, will give you a feedback.
طاها دوست داريم.....دي
Tested on my custom KH3, i replaced your fonts by KH3 + madmack fonts, no issues for now .
Thanks again.

urdu have nothing to do with arabic, its a independent language, I think it is used in some countries like Pakistan (I'm not sure about the country)
if you speak in arabic just choose arabic from the keyboard settings, do not worry about other languages
awesome work thx pro for ur effort u just made my day
Urdu is a combined language formed out of a combination of Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Hindi; its main grammar is from Hindi but a bulk of its words and the typeface comes from Persian. It is the main language of Pakistan and the dominant language in Indian Muslims.
update file version2 added to the first post, it has some improvements on fonts to fit the keypad and correct the font display
It has been tested on Criskelo Rom
good job taha ...
Thanks Taha great work.

Hello
If I install this on the latest swype, does this patch maintain the version or does it replace swype?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Added to [ROM] madmack's 2.0 (KI3) [RTL + Arabic support]
Works fine, but the recipient of txt msg can't see Arabic letters (shows as ?????)
There was a warning before I sent the msg from my GS2 to change the input method to automatic. I can't see this option under input method in language in settings.
Any suggestions?

you need to arabize your rom first, this patch is only keyboard. if you flash the keyboard patch without arabizing then arabic letters are not reshaped or might be in left to right order

This issue is not related to the keyboard, please do as below to solve this problem
go to messaging >>> press menu >>> choose settings>>> Input mode >>> and select Automatic

By default we have 2 fonts: Choco cookie.ttf and Samsung font.ttf
On attached files, 2 more font (available on samsunapps): Cool jazz.ttf and Rosemary.ttf
For adding them to custom, just unzip the files and add them to AppEx\SysDefault\Font\Download
You can also try with Android font or windows font
It worked for me with these fonts but not with the rest.
What I've been doing since these fonts are in SamsungApps is download at least one of them, let's say Rosemary.
Then, I go to STune-->OSP-->Applications--> (Rosemary folder)-->Res-->Font, and place there every font I want.
That's how every font has worked for me... at least the ones from Windows.
P.S: I had some problems with fonts in capital letters. So it would be advisable to rewrite fonts in lower case. I.e: asdf.ttf
Best Regards
You can use bada 1.2 fonts too
They are in rc1 files
Best Regards
I have forgotten where I read this...
Someone wrote about some miisng Chars if using Windows Font or something similar...
Maybe we should take an look to Android.
I mean Samsung Android.
Maybe they use same FONT for full support...
Maybe one way for Android Fonts...

Applemint
I've got one more for you guys. This one is called "Applemint" and it has been extracted from Asian FW, and it works and looks great. It contains most European characters, and being a official Bada font it shouldn't cause any issues. Well, try it for your self.

Rename file extension from apk to zip, extract contents.
I have already done that , But it doesn't work
when I apply the font it , the letters are not correctly written
BTW : the font that I want to apply it is an Arabic font

What you're talking about now it's about applying the font;
The fonts don't display correctly because ICS/JB needs fonts to be coded in a certain way - i don't recall the specifics, but i do know i could find it through a Google search.
