Ok this is really weird my phone would hold at 100% since 2pm today untilll about a hour ago witch is about 8 hours, Then since one hour ago it has gone from 100% to 91 within the span of a hour is this normal? I've charged the phone to 100% used the battery calibration app from the market that I was recommended unplugged then let the battery drain completely but the problem persists. Anyone explain to me what's going on and any ideas on how to fix it?
These devices drain batteries pretty quick. If you went 9 hours with only losing 9% you are doing pretty good.
Also don't drain li-ion batteries. All the talk about calibrating them is honestly a joke...can't calibrate a li-ion battery.

Recently my battery life has dropped extremely low. I have been running setcpu to underclock when not in use to preserve battery life and it was working very well draining 1% on standby every 2 hours approx. A couple days ago I had it on standby and somehow in the morning the battery was completely dead after I had fully charged it the night before. It is such a drastic drop and I didn't even change anything that I think it's the actual battery itself. I can watch the %'s drop just watching my phone now. Has anyone else had a problem with this? It seems that the battery can't hold a charge anymore.
Looking at my phone right now, I had it off the charger for about 10 minutes after it fully charged and it's already down to 90%.
The first question that comes to mind is have you made any changes lately? Installed new software? upgraded something? If your phone was getting okay battery life last week and now it's not, it's time to start pin pointing what, if anything, has changed. Keep it mind it is possible for a battery to die...
Someone on this forum told me to erase the battery stats. I was told to go into the recovery. I use clockwork. There is an option to reset battery stats. This worked for me but do some research on this site. I am not an expert but was told to do this by someone who is

Hi guys I know battery issues are covered a lot but this is slightly different.
The past couple days my battery has drained a lot. Within 6 hours usually its a minimum 7 hours until it reaches 20%.
But since yesterday Android System has been partial wake lock, according to battery use it was 50%. It was only till I rebooted earlier this afternoon that it was cleared but saying that the drain after a full charge ive been on battery for 3 and half hours im already on 53%. Should I use battery calibration app to remove battery stats? Im not sure if I should as once I reach 90% the battery stats reset itself.
Im on stock rom rooted latest firmware.
Thanks in advance

Got my rezound battery in a couple days ago and so far its not so good. Gave it a full charge out of the box and then bump charged it. Wiped battery stats and then ran it hard to drain it dead till the phone shut off. Recharged and bumped it again. It will hold at 100% for a good while during use but then drops drastically. Sitting doing nothing it dropped to 60% in about 2 hours. Then listening to music it went into around 20% in 45 minutes. Charged it overnight and today sitting doing nothing it was down to 30% in about 4 hours. Put it back on the charger now its only charging to 88% and stops. Am I doing something wrong here or is my battery a dud.
Update
after the charge to 88% I have used the crap out of my phone tonight and more over the last 4 hours. Surfing on WiFi, music, and running repeated benchmarks. The battery had sit for several hours off charge and dropped from 88 to 52% while sitting unused. Dropped from 52 to 35% over a few hours of music and 4g web browsing while driving my wife around shopping. After I got home and started using it stayed at 35% for over 2 hours of use and has dropped down from 35 to 28% in the last hour or so of continuous use. Seems like its holding a good charge, but just not reporting battery stats correctly.

I have had the Rezound battery for several months and at first it was reporting the battery accurately, a longer usage time, and no complaints. I would go down to about 5% and then I would charge it.
The last few months have been erratic. The battery could show anywhere from 15% to 25% then just shut off completely. This has become very frustrating and unreliable once I get under 30. I downloaded a battery calibration app that has proven to be worthless.
I was on vacation last week and found out something interesting. If I charge the battery to 100% then take it off for about 5 minutes and reboot the phone it will show that it is charged to somewhere between 79% and 84%. I can let it charge again to 100% and get a full charge that time. I tried several times doing battery calibration and it seems to make no difference. I think the default stats file is limiting the charge to the stock battery capacity somehow. I know the stats file gets written on boot and I found a post on here somewhere about HTC releasing an update for their extended battery after its release due to it not charging completely. I wonder if the rezound battery and all other extended batteries that aren't the capacity of the two official ones could perform better if they had modified stats files. Without the reboot and additional charge I am averaging 16 hours roughly per charge. With the additional charge I have gotten over 30 hours on one charge and get at least 23 hours. Last full charge was 27 hours 38 min and still had 16% charge.

Finally broke down and got one yesterday from Big Red. So far, on initial charge (off wall charger), I'm @ 38%, 15 hrs, moderate use. For me, it's an improvement over the stock battery. FWIW, once I popped in the rezound battery, I wiped battery stats in CMW....

My rezound battery was doing great until the first weekend when I had to switch it with the stock thunderbolt one on the fly. Since then they seem to perform, at best, the same - but usually it seems like the rezound one lasts even shorter than the original.
My phone just started to do this about a week ago.
I tried reflashing, wiping cache/data, factory reset- nothing.
Whenever I charge, it will either charge significantly slow, or say charging but the percentage just goes down as if it wasn't even charging in the first place.
So I powered off for the entire night, (8-9 hours) and it will say fully charged. And I keep it connected to the charger but when I take a look at the phone again about 15 min later it reads 83% battery and charging.
I was really annoyed so I just left my phone on the charger again while I took a power nap (1-2 Hours) and after that I take a look and now it reads 68%.
The other day I saw it was fully charged so I took it off the charger and went on with my day. After, not even about 8 hours, it was already 10%.
It's like it only charges normally when the phone is shut off. Do I just need to replace the battery? Or is it something with the phone that drains the battery so quickly? I've already ordered a replacement extended battery off of Amazon just in case.
Most likely your battery. Go into battery stats and see whats apps are having high usage. Or download Gsam.

Im pretty sure its the battery now, the stats are normal and it doesn't seem like one process is hogging all the cpu. Can't wait for my extended battery next week, i cant last a week more with this annoying battery issue. Any suggestions for now?

Hello guys,
I have a GSM Galaxy Nexus running the latest Android 4.2.1 Officialy from Google. I hae bought an original extended battery for it, but the issue is that it seems that it holds less juice than the original one, that came with the phone.
With the default battery, i get around 3 hours of screen on and with the extended one, i barely get 2:40 minutes. Tried this a couple of times.
What's the matter with it ? Do i need to calibrate it somehow ?
I have the same battery and had the same issue. After using it for about a week it started working better. What I suggest is charge it all the way up and then use it until it completely goes dead then fully charge it again. Do this a few times then you should notice the difference which isn't huge but I'm averaging about 4-5 hours more than standard now.

With Li-ion batteries, this should make no difference what so ever. It should get better over time. From what I've researched, you should never let a li-ion battery fully die. When it hits 20% - 30% fully charge and then don't charge again until you hit 20%. There are only so many charging cycles on a battery.
You might have something constantly running in the background that is eating your battery. Try juice defender, it drastically improved my stand by time.
What i was saying:
The stock battery holds a charge of ~3 hours of screen on time
The extended battery holds a charge that lasts less than 3 hours witch is strange because it haves a bigger capacity.
Is there any way to reset the baattery stats ? Or to reset the battery count ? Something like that ?
The whole "wipe battery stats" thing found in CWM is useless. Confirmed to be by a developer at google.

I see. Anything else i can try ?
