I know samsung cripled their cdma devices on this but is there. Hack or app or something that would allow us t send video out through 3.5mm jack to be converted by the proper cableinto rca out? "Red white yellow"
I know we can do hdmi through micro usb but tha cable costs a small fortune, and the 3.5mm to rca only costs 1 dollar on average.

It was being work on but the guy stopped. So at the moment no there isn't a hack/app for that feature

Not only is there no video out via 3.5mm jack, there is no video out via HDMI cable either
Only video out at this time is via DLNA, AFAIK
It has been a long time requested project, but has not made it into any sort of working/testable phase yet, at least for the public

I am on my third Incredible replacement (first one would superheat and enter a reboot cycle; second came to me with an already blown speaker; this one seems fine), but I have been unable on ANY of them to get the AUX INPUT on my car to play in stereo when hooked up. Headphones work fine.
This leads me to believe that it may be the cable, but an ipod works fine (=stereo) with that cable.
Any thoughts?
I believe that modern ipod cables have 4 conductors. You need an old school 3 conductor cable.

Aux should work in your car, if your having general problems with the input - download "Headset Blocker" from the market and add it as a widget on your homescreen then enable it and try again. This disable any headset voice actions because for some reason incredibles have trouble with determining headsets from auxiliary inputs.
I have had the same problem and I had to end up buying audio video cables and getting the old school three prong adapter to work. But I am going to try his method about downloading the app off the market and I will see how it works.
Thanks

Can you recommend a cable that worked for you ... maybe from Monoprice?!?
Thanks!
It looks like product id 644 should do the trick, if the picture is accurate. I am also assuming you need 3.5mm male connectors on both ends. They also have higher quality versions of the cable. Check out the Audio Cable - RCA / 3.5mm section.

Is there something available that connects to usb port and has analog audio out and usb port to connect charger? I want to use only one plug in my car for charging and listening to music from my cell.
Regards, Bart.

Why would you need an adapter when there is a perfectly good headphone port right next to the microUSB port?
So I don't have to connect 2 cables.

Can we read for 2011? This is an observation not an attack. It's post like this which serve no purpose. He clearly said he just wants to use one wire. Let's all be thankful in this new year for unofficial froyo and gb which better our phones and while we are at it let's better ourselves. Happy New Year!
You would still have to connect two cables to the adapter in question. Two cables going into an adapter in your phone doesn't look any neater than them going into their respective ports. If you need them at hand, a twist tie near the ends would keep them together.
Unless you have a newer car radio, and keep all your music on your sd card, you could just plug into the usb, play your music through the radio interface and charge at the same time.
Using Bluetooth connection to the sound system in my car for listening the music and hands free talking, and simple USB car charger. So, i have 1 cable for everything.
What Bluetooth adapter are you using. I may go this route.

I love my Jabra Cruiser!!!
Do a google search (XDA won't let me post links yet) and you can find this for less than $50 delivered. I paid $99.00 for mine, but have no regrets.
All of the phones audio are relayed to an FM station on the car stereo (never been a fan of FM transmitters, but this one rocks). I mostly listen to tech podcast, and pandora going down the road.
Does anyone know of a working solution for a USB to RCA output on the atrix? I have AV inputs in my car and want to, mirror my phone onto my nav screen. Did a sear h and didn't find anything. DINC has a custom cable for this from HTC. THANKS!

You'd most likely need a digital to analog converter (like those boxes), and you'd need a bunch more since I doubt it has any video out besides the HDMI. Which doesn't do any sort of mirroring without hacks (unless I am not aware?)
That said, I don't think it is possible.
That's pretty much the answer all my searching has led me too as well. Samsung , HTC, and apple all support video out through USB or even audio jack.

Atrix has an hdmi port so there would be no need for video over usb. Analog audio can be transferred over, however.

Hello. I am using CM9 on my T989.
I have an MHL adapter that is working perfectly to output video and sound to my TV.
However, I would really like to have audio be outputted from the headphone jack, which it does not do. I have connected, reconnected, looked everywhere in settings and there's no where to change the output in Android.
From what I've read some ROMs do this for some reason while others do not, which leads me to believe that there's simply a piece of code that can be edited somewhere to push audio to the headphone jack if connected instead of over HDMI. Does anyone have a clue where that code might be? Alternatively, does anyone know of a ROM that does this on its own?
Are you only looking for a software solution?

Ideally. My TV does not have analog outputs and my audio setup does not have digital inputs.
I know there are audio adapters, but this is far from ideal, especially considering that my TV does not have selectable PCM/DTS out, meaning I would have to buy a $65 output for the TV passthrough (one that handles both PCM and Dolby streams).

Dark Side v8 can output audio from s2 headphone jack, I have a monitor without speakers, and I have to use the headphone jack to amplify the volume when I use a mhl adapter for videos and games.

Well there is this...
And we also have this...
Maybe one of those will work for you
Does anywhere shipping to the UK sell a 3.5mm male-to-male or female-to-male cable including a remote fully compatible with the S3 (i.e. not an iPhone remote).
If it includes a microphone, that would be a bonus.

I'm also looking for a cable like this (female to male), but with mic. I would appreciate if anyone would recommend one. I 've one from Sony but it doesn't work (sound output works fine but Mic doesn't!).
