I am currently running the bamboozle rom 1.1 from ACS an I must say this rom is pretty dang good. However I miss the keyboard fix I had on EC05 runing srf 1.2 an I no I can't get it on bamboozle because thy dnt have the source for it. Anyway my question is. Is it possible to run bamboozle 1.1 with the EC05 modem? An if this is possible would I then beable to use the keyboard fix?

Yes, you can run the EC05 modem with the Bamboozle ROM. However, it will not fix the keyboard skips.
The modem only affects Calls, 3G and 4G Signal, SMS, etc.
The keyboard skips is a known issue on Gingerbread ROMs, but EG22 (the latest Gingerbread build. Bamboozle is EF02) is known to have improved the keyboard skipping for some people. It improved it for me so if you're looking for that, I'd recommend looking in the Development section and flash an EG22 ROM.
Hope this helps.
P.S. Work on the grammar, even if you're on your phone
Oh, and also post questions in the Q&A section.

No kernels for Epic and Gingerbread until it is released.
No source = No kernels. Pretty basic stuff that has to have been mentioned dozens of times.
Sorry for the noob move. I really am just looking for a reliable setup. Can someone give me some advice on what will fill my needs.
-Root
-Wifi tether (without paying sprint for there hotspot)(and would love ta be able to tether with 4g active)
-Bluetooth
-FM radio (nice but not necessary)
-Voodoo sound ( nice, but not necessary)
-BLN
-Visual Voicemail
*Most of all RILIABLE*
If you want reliable, stay away from gingerbread... ec05plus is stable and fast, doesn't have bln though

Is there any way to get the network back to saying sprint so I can use the nascar app. I'm on era revolt ec05 and the honeycomb fusion 1.2 theme
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I have used all the ERA ROMs but that one. Currently on RandomROM EG22 with EH17modem. I haven't had a problem using mine. Use it every Race Day. How are you installing it back after flashing a ROM?
Sent from my Acer Iconia A500 running HoneyVillain 1.1 HC 3.2 for A501, OC'd 1.5GHz
i was running hurricane 1.6, but i kept running into problems. i odin back to ec05 and then flashed the revolt ec05 rom, but i tried 2 other ec05 roms and they all said unknown for the network
I have the same problem. It started with trying to reset the network name after I flashed SFR 1.2. Wanted to change the name from ACS back to Sprint, but never got that to work, so I flashed Emotionless Beast to use the EB network fix. Still a no go. Did a clean flash of SFR 1.2 , used the network fix and it did change it until I flashed Honeycomb Fusion. Now there's no name at all in the pull down and the phone info status reads as "unknown." Is there a way to fix this so the Sprint apps are useable?
well I'm gonna hop back to eh17, hopefully the official release comes out soon
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
And I'm getting the app from sprint, text nascar to 7777... it installs but wen it loads I says its for sprint and nextel users only

I have the same problem with my Sprint football app/widget. Using EH17 with Maddoggin's lock heme and AIO.
I have a fix for this but none of the rom devs got back with me to post it in the public. The ones I made are a stock sfr1.2 theme and the updated gingerbread theme. If y'all want it shoot me a pm and ill send it to you.
Its for EC05

just an FYI ....GituSum did a good job = it works
running SRF 1.2 w/Genocide 1.1. been having this exact same problem since installing the honeycomb fusion 1.2 theme. network is permanently listed as unknown and the pulldown "ACS" is gone. kind of annoying that installing one new thing breaks something else but that seems to be the way with ROMS & themes on the Epic.

cool beans.
this is an awesome looking theme, though. I really don't want to have to bail on it.

The reason it says ACS in the stock sfr rom is cause they edited there framework to say that. All the themes are based on maddogins 6 lock framework where he left that line blank. Thts why when you flash themes it changes.

How easy is it for us to change this on any setup? I wouldn't mind making the change myself if I knew where to edit the script. I like to jump around to different roms often, and that knowledge would be very useful.
Edit: i also just saw this discussion in the hfe thread. I'll keep my eye on both.

You would have to decompile the framework to make the change. its in the values folder which can't be seen until its decompiled.

I'm going to post a fix for HCFE 1.2 this weekend.
Did he remove CIQ? and would there be an issue flashing LoS experimental kernel? 10 lockscreen mod. where can i find it? is it only with certain roms? can i CWM it to Calkulin's? thanks!!
CiQ is natively removed and there is no need to flash that kernel since the LoS issue has basically been wiped even though some report getting it. What modem you on? If you flash the lockscreen mod you're bound to experience some issues. I've tried some themes with the lockmod for calk and haven't had issues.

You can try Desperado kernel. It's great and stable. Well if you just want the lockmod you could flash it but you're bound to kill some of calk's tweaks. Just flash a compatible theme for calk that also includes the lockmod.

Any links for his themes? any links for the kernel? thanks.
Before I rooted the damn phone I had Ginger Bread on it, and quite frankly I enjoyed looking at the notification bar and seeing how basic it was. To me the whole concept of the stock theme was pretty sweet because it was just simple. I'm sure there's a theme that looks like this but I haven't been able to find one, so I decided to post here hoping for a few links from the people who know what I'm talking about. If you can't tell by reading this I am a n00b so id appreciate it if you guys weren't dicks about this... thanks!

EI22 IS Gingerbread. If u want a "stock Gingerbread look", why not just flash Toad's Clean GB ROM, its the closest thing to stock untouched GB with lots of little goodies/tweaks

Yeah I know its ei22, I was jus5 being specific so nobody thinks I want it for el30, and I think I mixed up gb with froyo. So if you know of any froyo themes for ei22 id appreciate it!

??? Why would you want a crappy theme? Just flash cm7 and find cm7 themes on the market. There is one called cm7 galaxy s theme that is like our froyo. If you attempted at grammar and didn't swear I could probably help better. I don't even know what version/rom your phone is on...
1. What rom are you on
2. What is your android version (2.2/2.3/4.0)
3. What theme do you want (2.2/2.3)
4. If you are on gingerbread, just flash cleangb or stockish rom.

Yea I'm well aware my grammar was bad as it was 3 in the morning when I posted that and I was tired, but when I flash to cleangb my colors are, well they're just weird... they are way off from where they are when I'm marcusant rom... and I download voodoo controls but it says my kernel isn't support when it is (samurai). And the color thing is the same for cm7... I appreciate your help!

when you say colors, do you mean colors of the icons, and overall theme or do you mean hue/tint problems?

Yes, the hue and tint is very off. But I fixed it and put my magic to the works and got it working! All I did was open the zip on my pc and change the kernels lol but its fixed now. I'm on Clean GB 1.1.2 and is fitting me well. My only complain is that the notification bar is black, I'm not a themer do I don't know if that's the framework.apk or not so I'll just let it be until a theme I like is released!

I want to run a super simple and clean GB 2.3.7 Rom on my EVO 4g and im looking for recommendations.
I used to run SalvageMod w/tiamat 3.3.7sbc and loved it, everything worked perfectly. I cannot find a download of it anywhere though.
I dont really like any of the ICS ports and i hate the stock ICS email app and still really love the stock GB email app.
I would prefer something other than Cyanogen and the terrible battery life i get out of it...
