I'm experiencing the same behaviour all day. Seems to be some serious marketplace issue.
Unbranded HD7 in Germany btw.
Tends to happen randomly to me as well, prolly because of the marketplace upgrades for Mango.
AppHub doesn't seam too stable either these days.
HTC Trophy, united states.

...after I upgraded to Froyo, all seems to be well, but noticed my copilot had an error "Copilots code cannot be loaded by the system" I've uninstalled and tried a reinstall but still got the same error. Anyone else had the same?
Update from the market. It is only the pirated version that does not work on froyo

Yep you need an upgrade
8.2.0.218
Is working fine for me.

Hmm, the version I am using isn't a pirated version. This is the second copy I've bought, I had it for my HD2 until the screen broke and they said I couldn't transfer it between OS's so bought it again.... off to ALK then for some support... that'll be the end of that then!!!
Have you tried deleting the maps as well? There's a newer version than 8.2.0.218 now but .218 works on Froyo. I got an expired license message last week even though I purchased it months ago and it took them a week to sort it out.

Hi,
I moved from HD2 to Desire, and used the same licence code,
just deactivate current code in Copilot software and activate on new machine, worked fine for me.

Cheers Trev, I'll give that a go later
Hey everyone,
Ever since getting my phone in early october everything has been great. But just recently, I can't connect to purchase games/apps from the market. I can download something that's free no problem, but if it costs money, as soon as I click on the buy button, it says "attention: a server error has occurred. Retry or cancel and try again later." It never works at all for the last few weeks.
My connection is fine. I downloaded 3 free games today alone (and plenty others over the last few weeks). I update all my apps constantly. Everything is stock including the original sd card and I'm not rooted (yet). But ever since these last 3 weeks it won't get to the screen where I get to choose my payment method.
One more note, this started a few days BEFORE my market got updated to the new version of the market. It stopped letting me buy stuff first, then upgraded to the new version of market and still doesn't work.
Oh and also I've tried rebooting, I've tried force stopping the market app and I've cleared the data/cache of the market in app management.
Pleeease help... there's a couple apps and games on sale right now that I want!
Thanks
Dave

Just thought id let everyone know that I finally figured it out!
For all the people out there posting about this same problem, here's the solution:
Log in to your google checkout account (on a computer since you can't from a phone) and re-add your credit card information... fixed it instantly. Yes I already had a credit card in there that was still good... and I had my t-mobile account in there to bill, but apparently something stupid went wrong and it thought I had no billing options available and instead of giving a worthwhile error message it just said "network error"
I fixed it. Your welcome google. Send me something free now please

Since AT&T's update is coming soon, I was just wondering if anyone knew whether you could update from the forced "stock" NoDo to the carrier's NoDo? Has anyone on T-Mobile or elsewhere done this?
If not then I guess you would have to Restore the phone in Zune to pre-NoDo and then upgrade again. But that sounds like a lot of wasted time to me!
I'll go out on a limb and say no - because the updates are delivered as patches.
Doing a restore will work (as long as the restore doesn't fail of course) but simply flashing a new (7004/7008) ROM would be faster - even though you would lose all your user data that way.

That's a hassle. Oh well, thats the price you pay when you get impatient.

The bad news - there's no ROM for the Samsung Focus.
More bad news, if you forced nodo using the chevron updater, there is no backup. You won't get those at&t specific functionalities until a focus rom surfaces or someone hacks them onto the phone... I guess Microsoft's warning regarding the use of the chevron updater wasn't just smoke...

What att specific functionalities. The only other thing in the update is att WiFi, and att address book stuff. Both lame.

Where did you read that? I have only heard of the nebulous "at&t specific functionality"

Luckily I forced NoDo through the timing hack. I'm glad I did too.

Well I thought they might also include Focus-specific updates here and there. I'd have more peace of mind with the AT&T update.

There is whisper support for automatically switching your phone from cellular data to AT&T Mobile WiFi hotspots. That in and of itself is, IMO, worth getting the AT&T update for. It can potentially save on a lot of data not to mention the hotspots are relatively widespread for AT&T and typically faster than a cell data connection.
AT&T Address Book can be important for people coming form other types of phones where they had tons of contacts and haven't had the time to port them all over to Windows Live.
I have no interest in the "AT&T specific features", but I do with there is a Samsung specific update that could get us newer firmwares.
kik messenger is on marketplace
where are u guys source that says angry birds is getting released tomorrow? i heard it got pushed back or something...but i just downloaded kik i never used it before add me as a contact sedp23 ill check it out
It did get pushed back. It was originally scheduled to be released last month. It was pushed back to June 29th (tomorrow).
Seems like a nice, well-built little application, but I don't know anyone that uses it, and they claim 4 million people. Then again, in this day and age, 4 million people is really not that many.
Hopefully it'll catch on a bit more and I can really give it a try.
Better use Kik with care, since it doesn't encrypt any of the data it sends. Source
Well we should maby worry on wifi acces points, but the 3g with your provider should be excrypted right?
Thanks for the info. I can never use public WiFi so I guess I'm fine with my home one and 3G but this is very troubling. Shouldn't they be forced to encrypt eveything?

I don't think anybody can force them to encrypt the data they send, but they could at least inform their users that they don't. But just like you said, secure WiFi spots and 3g should be fine.
I woke up this morning to an alert on my HTC 7 Pro that I had a software update available - "hooray", I thought, expecting just to get 7740.
To my surprise I was also pushed the HTC Update with Internet Sharing enabled, so my 7 Pro is now fully 'mangoed'. Don't know if any of you guys have had this too?
Annoyingly, though, HTC didn't think to fix the MAC address issue (changes every time you reboot), so my phone can /be/ a wireless hotspot, but can't /connect/ to my wifi network. Damn
I got this update today too for my 7 pro. I thought it was weird since I'm on DFT v2 I didn't think we got updates.
Sent from my Optimus 2X using Tapatalk
i guess it depends on your carrier and where you are located
maybe origin of phone plays a part too
i'm in singapore, where the 7 pro is not available, but i still got it
if it matters, my 7 pro is a unbranded set from the uk
Only IS for HD7 7720 not getting 7740 yet.
And nothing for me on the trophy yet -.-

Well so far I only know of Mozart, HD7 and 7 Pro geting updates so I'm sure you will get it eventually if your carrier supports it, it's just a matter of time.
Incidentally, I've very please that the update isn't carrier dependent, as this means for sure that they can't detect you using it if you're on an unbranded device
I got the 7740.16 update yesterday but if it is supposed to enable IS,, I'll be damned if I can find it...
Did it just show up in the program list for the rest of you? Is there something that needs to be changed?
Thanks,,

Internet Sharing is located in Settings, between Bluetooth and Email+Accounts
At least it is on my HTC 7 Pro, updated to 7740 (which if you look carefully includes the HTC update at the bottom) yesterday.
If you install a later update, all earlier updates are installed also. It looks to me like the HTC Update was activated slightly before 7740, so is getting packaged in at the same time.

Hi andrew
can you run WP7 Update Cab Sender to read the update log and share url of the HTC Update.
Can we force update like 7720? and how it's done.
I updated my unbranded hd7 to 7740 but still didn't have the IS. sucks!
