Hello,
S-ON is possible again after the S-OFF using xtc clip?
Thanks.
AFAIK you could use a RUU to get S-ON again.
Xtc clip does radio s-off. No way to revert back to s-on AFAIK.

You can turn s-on with at commands [email protected]=7,1 will re lock the security settings.Your cid and simlock will be unaffected.
How send command: [email protected]=7,1 ?

I think you have to do that via fastboot.
"C:\AndroidSDK\fastboot -c [email protected],1" ? Phone is in mode Hboot --> fastboot
?
Command "fastboot devices" is ok
hmm i think best method to S-ON is to flash a ruu. then cwm is removed and all security like h-boot etc. is S-ON and warranty is back but i haven't tried this
Install RUU S-ON not working after S-OFF with use XTC-CLIP

no running an RUU will just do exactly that, install the RUU.
XTC clip is perma S-OFF until you command the phone to S-ON..
has anyone tried,
adb devices
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot devices
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3

i believe this should work but you would need a fastboot enabled bootloader and the stock 1.01.0001 and .02 are not fastboot enabled :/ if i still had the device i would test.

soo i did get the S-off ,
but my question now is...
How do i get that S-on?
if you dont change Hboot you need to run official RUU again and you will become S-on again,
if you change your Hboot you need to flash downgrader from alpharev web site and after that run official RUU to become S.on

I had 2.3.3 oficial update. I used revolutionary to s-off (with the oficial update i had 1.02.0001 hboot and after s-off i had 6.93.0002 hboot). After s-off i ran the shipped RUU and i am still s-off and 6.93.0002 hboot.
Is there a way to get back to 0.93.0001?
Thanks!

Hboot versions by alpharev with the number 6.93.1002 are protected against overwriting by ruu or ota. You have to flash downgrader and then stock hboot first before you can flash an ruu.
Is there a tutorial for flashing a hboot downgrader and a custom hboot?

First rename the Bravo downgrader.zip to PB99IMG run it in HBOOT MODE, not recovry mode, aply the update, than you hboot will chance to '' ... 9999 '' , after that i had a RUU ZIPFILE, rename that also to PB99IMG run in HBOOT mode and you're done, yoo i learn this as wel!,
Questions:
After i get 999 hboot, i rename the ruu file like ruu_bravo.... .exe to PB99.ZIP?
Thanks!
No. You have to either extract the ruu from the rom (guide can be found by using the search) or download the appropriate ruu as a PB99IMG.exe and rename this into PB99IMG.zip.

RUU . zip Chance to the name to PB99IMG.(
How i got back to the 0.93.0001:
1. I have downloaded the downgrader from alpharev - bravo_downgrade.img.
2. Downloaded fastboot coomader.
3. Restart phone into fastboot.
4. Start fastboot commander, loaded bravo_downgrade.img and flashed it.
5. Restart bootloader (from phone).
6. Got the 6.93.999 hboot.
7. Restart the phone, activate debugging mode and conect the phone with charge only.
8. Downloaded the ruu (for my phone) from shipped roms.
9. Flash the RUU from windows and now the RUU can rewrite the bootloader - so now i have 0.93.0001 hboot.
Thank you all and alpharev and unrevocked (revolutionary)!

Cool ROMs, as well as files from Alpharev.
Hi Everyone - i think i've gotten myself in a little of a pickle here, can someone lend a hand? My goal is to get rooted and S-off so i can load some custom ROMs.
Incredible 2 from Verizon.
Currently, i'm:

HBOOT-0.98.0000

My recovery is Clockwork Mod 5, I can boot into either recovery or fastboot but i can't load any ROM's and it appears i've deleted the original ROM, so the only way i can really get into a ROM is using CM7 and then abd boot.img at fastboot to get to the system.
Am i bricked? Sounded like the next step was to get S-OFF.
So i went here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726134
Ran all those steps without a hitch.
While running Revolutionary i get this:
=============================================

Your device: vivow, with HBOOT 0.98.0000 is not supported at this time.
Press (almost) any key to exit.
What gives experts?

You used HTC Dev to unlock your phone...You must first lock it and then take the proper steps to downgrade to get S-OFF. That should solve everything.

concur. i used HTCDev that send me a unlock file that i flashed to my phone.
at that point, my phone is "rooted" right?
but the it's still S-ON.
i'm still unlocked, but don't want to lock with CM7 on there correct? If i relock, doesn't it give a security warning that will lock my phone into bootloader and not reboot?

ok, with those tips, here's what i'm thinking i'll need to do. how's this sound?
1. remove and return to stock recovery via PG32IMG.zip
2. flash the 2.3.3.RUU
3. relock it with the adb command "fastboot oem lock"
then i'm ready to:
S-off with revolutionary and get clockworkmod flashed.
Flash superuser / a ROM.

I never used HTC Dev before, so I'm not 100% sure on what you need to do. Returning to stock probably sounds like the right thing to do.
If I was you I would refer to this guide:

Great, glad I could provide some assistance.
Hi all, i am trying to bring back to stock my Desire HD for assistance (warranty) i rooted my dhd with the AAHK tool which has been dismissed, so i cannot use it to turn s-on.
I already flashed via executable windows a RUU stock rom but s-off is still there, shall i use AndroidFlasher and if so where can i find HTC stock bootloader??
if AndroidFlasher is not the answer what else can i do? shall i try another RUU?
Tyvm for any help (i have not much time til warranty expires )
You should of S-ON'd the device before using the RUU, which means now you have to reflash the radio.img with the exploit and the recovery.img from the aahk tool kit then use ./gfree -s on to s-on the device

Agreed, but AAHK has been dismissed and i cannot download it anymore... or is there any other place where to find it?
Or is there any other way to get s-on??
So,
I just bought a Htc Desire z a few days ago. Unlocked the bootloader, Installed CWM. All was going well until I decided to flash a Rom then the phone when into a bootloop and CWM stopped working.
So far I've fixed the recovery through fastboot but I'm still in a bootloop.
Any Ideas?
Additional details:
I'm on Ubuntu, I'm not so good with fastboot(or adb), the phone is a Turkish HTC desire Z, I have a NAndroid back-up right before I flashed the rom. I've tried combining it with the stock recovery. Obviously didn't work.

Hi,

It means security ON
So, it won't let you flash anything
First, you have to run a rom again (dunno how....
from bootloader what are yours options? You can go to recovery?
if not, maybe installing a RUU from bootloader... But wait, i'm not sure you can...

No actually I can extract a RUU to a IMG file.
I currently can go into the bootloader(therefore into fastboot) and I can flash recoveries long as they're in img format.
I know this going to sound stupid considering that I got this far but what exactley is a RUU ? I mean I know I got the Hboot update from one but do they contain stock Roms as well?

in that case you just have to copy the boot.IMG file from the rom you downloaden. Put it in the map with fastboot etc. Then open a terminal and type fastboot flash boot boot.img I dont know if how this works on Ubuntu. But i think its something like that on Ubuntu.

didn't see much on s-off. You do have anything else?
Its in the first post, first you need to get a factory image running and relock your bootloader, then follow the steps in the xda wiki or strawmetals PDF guide. If you don't want to do this and would rather keep secure flags on then then each ROM you flash you will need to fastboot flash the kernel when done
But I highly recommend to get true radio s-off

Hello everyone, need some help upgrading hboot to try out some roms. Currently I'm on 0.85.2425 and when trying to flash from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38947050&postcount=10) and here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2445593) I get a 'writing zip FAILED'. If I flash the rom.zip manually from adb in oem-78 mode [fastboot flash zip rom.zip] everything goes smoothly but hboot doesn't update.
This is what I'm looking at.

The problem you can't flash in RUU mode could be the drivers or the fastboot app you are using. It could also be a CID problem.
You can check here how to upgrade your hboot by using fastboot.
But as long as you are S-OFFed you can flash a PD98IMG.zip from your bootloader by putting it in the root of your sdcard.(Just rename the rom.zip to PD98IMG.zip)

I don't know what a RUU mode is nor am I using any fastboot apps. I will look into this CID stuff.
I actually cannot do the PD98IMG.zip thing as my volume buttons left their home... and the visible metal contacts don't do anything if shorted.
Thanks for the link, I will check out!
EDIT: The post you linked me to has the same instructions as what I've been trying, I mean exactly the same stuff. This is the 3rd hboot rom.zip I've tried and it worked! I'm on 2.00.29 so thanks a bunch for that link
EDIT 2: Now unlocking the bootloader from HTCDev, got to last part and need to use volume buttons! Doh! I'm stuck now and the phone will not boot into the ROM.
EDIT 3: Got it! I didn't realize that there was a tiny button under the actual volume key, just had to press it with something small.
