J2ME runner: is it safe??

Hi
to install J2ME runner (from netmite) do I have to root my Galaxy S??
Is it safe enuf to use this runner for java apps

Anyone please

I am using it.
It is Ok so far (Eclair and Froyo)
What do you mean "safe" ?

J2ME runner is OK.
But JBlend J2ME have special instalation (must rooted be), and make veerry slow boot SGS (abot 3-4 min.)

No, I dont wanna root now so may be JBlend j2me not for me. All I wanted to know was that netmite's j2me runner requires a root or not??

I am using Eclair. By safe I meant does it hangs or stores too much data n all and yes the very primary query was rooting required or not.

No, it doesn't need root, so rooting is NOT required.
First it converts java apps to apks and you must keep J2ME runner installed for running those apps.
I'm using only one app with J2ME runner ( that is Shmessenger) and I like it more than the original yahoo mess app.
If you have other intresting java apps working on android please share.

I was only having one mobile bank-app which will not be useful to you...
Snaptu is also good(social netwrk, news, picturs, movies etc all integrated) I had it on my last java mobile [ http://m.snaptu.com/ ] not tested on android yet.
Any ways, in that J2me runner only you will find so many apps/games.
will share if anything else comes interesting.

I agree with games, but you can convert your prefered apps too, not only ones in the j2me runner.

how to install PS1 games on Xperia Play?

Hello folks,
I've been trying to install PS1 games to my Xperia play but that doesn't seem to work :S
I've tried both "psxperia-1.0" and "psxperia-2.0-beta" but I still can't get the games to work
they always close and take me back to the game list!!!
maybe the problem is that I have a EURO version not US
I can't find the files "com.sony.playstation.ncua94900_1.apk" nor "NCUA94900_1_1.zpak"
I have "com.sony.playstation.ncea00344_1.apk" and "NCEA00344_1_2.zpak" instead
can someone upload the files "com.sony.playstation.ncua94900_1.apk" and "NCUA94900_1_1.zpak" for me?
Will it work that way?
What am I doing wrong, is it possible that the problem is from the files I'm using or is it some trick that I'm missing?

nope we cant upload the files its warez but if you replace the data files with the one in the download in this page it should work fine with psxperia 2.0 for android 2.3.4

Hi guys again, i like to share with you some apps that will like you for our p350 smartphone!
1)Think free office from stock froyo rom!
2)Bootanimation changer, with this app you can download and change your boot animation screen with that you like!
3)Lg month calendar is not the stock, but it look like it! (not rename the .apk file because will not work)!
4)Flash player for armv6
5)Go whether (not go whether EX) because the older version UI like me more. On this app when install it go to setting for widget and download the style you like (i like HTC style and LG style more)
ALSO IF YOU GUYS WANT ANY GAME TELL ME THE NAME OF GAME AND WILL UPLOAD IT FOR OUR DEVICE!

AFAIK, it is prohibited to post paid apps on XDA.
You should remove them ASAP :S

it started downloading , but stops at 24mb , tried it twice , same result

Flash player does not work on my Stock ROM, any idea how i make it work? and i tried various browsers and various flash apk's but non of them will work on stock

Flash won't work
Adobe flash won't work as it is not supported for armv6 even if the app says armv6 it is just an eyewash it won't work i have tested it. P.S remove the flash app it takes up a lot of phone memory even when it is not working

(this) Flash player is for armv6 but it not working 100% on our phone because of low ram and cpu, also will work better on other rom than stock like cyanogenmod or oxygen or the best froyoloco with support for flash player!!

Hi i've (im noob) installed [ROM][GSM & CDMA] Paranoid Android JB v2.5.6 [4.1.2][LINARO 4.7.3] and i realised that dont have google play . I tried to install the apk but dont work . Can anyone help?

According to me, you have to install the gapps (Google Apps) that are in the second post, I tried to install it but always gave me the error of the multicolored, because of faceunlock, told to return to normal colors with only remove , but honestly it felt very slow, do not know, better turned to ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) ... regards

I would recommend removing the ringtones or if you care enough you can just move them to the sd card as the space required is very little.

Pspocket only works on stock GB and maybe stock ICS. Somyoumwont be able to use it anyways fpse and epsxe support much more games and its faster then converting a game every time you want to play. You just load a ROM up and play

[Q] gltools destroy evey rom on xperia play........

I have the following problem with every rom i tried...after installing gltools something goes always crazy.....this time the messaging app couldn't receive messages and send mine only after 5 min....also video playback gave an error along with music players.....but it gives huge boost to my games so i want to ask if anyone succeded in installing gltools......i am using nxt le rom and lupus gingerbread v12. anyone with ideas is welcome to anwser.

Are u sure that it works with our device? Maybe its incompatible (doesnt matter what gplay says)? Its installing its files which can break something in rom like any mod.
Why u dont use chainfire which works on gb roms?

i want to use gltools because it has more options than chainfire 3d...it replaces this files in system/lib libEGL.so libGLESv1_CM.so libGLESv2.so they look like they don't have to do with phone and messaging.....
