some good/bad findings about BADA 2.0 - S8500
I dont know if people have already posted it but I found some things new in this version like :
1. in My files, u can swipe on an item to rename or delete
2. In FB linked contacts in contacts, u can swipe on an activity to perform various operations.
3. most of the features with long press in last FW are now with swipe option
4. IM also worked for me ( SHP enabled) ( once ) - after that network issue
5. FB app is not working but the update is coming ( SHP enabled) and its redirecting to m.facebook
6. after I delete an already added FB contact from contact list , phone restarts.

Mainly Bugs cuz its just a Beta

As We are talking about new features... I'm wondering whether Bada 2.0 supports exFat or any other file system that exceeds 4GB limit per file?
I mean, it's a pity to have possibility of playing 720p videos together with this restriction.

bada already has this. I have played 4.7GB 720p Avatar HD movie on my Wave. It works flawlessly.

hasnt bada fat32 as filesystem? fat32 limits max filesize to 4gb
FAT32

I don't know about the bada filesystem, but I can guarantee that files more than 4gb work. May be they do some partial loading of files or something to overcome the limit?

Very useful ;D bada is great

So, I've finally instaled Bada 2.0. Does not recognize exFat nor NTFS (I haven't tested any linux file system yet), and it's not possible to copy any file over 4GB to card formatted by phone.
I really don't know how you did play that movie.
If you don't mind, show us what file system do you use.

Well, I rechecked again. It is not 4.7 GB but 4.2 GB. May be it is right at the the limit that Wave can handle.
My memory card is Fat32.

Here are the screenshots -

So, I suppose we still have the 4GB limit unsolved.
As i said before, it's very unfortunate while we are able to play 720p (even matroska ".mkv") on our Wave's.
What's the point of this function if we're not able to use any file system that exceeds this limit?

I have just install the rom, don't touch any tuning that cooker done on it, install my pack (no tweak done on it), and run spb benchmark on "Main test" and "Active Sync" test.
The score is nice, I will test it hardly next week to see if it's real
dont worry everything is OK I just had to ask if it is correct or some mistake were all just a people...very nice result

Stay away from this
I wouldnt install this
Dev never puts instructions, never supports his rom. Doent even put a link on here to download it.
Then when you get it installed, it doent work.
I would stay away from this. Dont support Devs that do these things
bad links
I know this is an old thread but is there any way I could get this rom on a mirror link that is working, the main link on the tread just keeps sending me to livid download manager, the same as the blogspot posts do. I don't want a new download manager I just want the rom.

SGYPRO - B5510 New Custom Rom

hi
i found this rom from CM Forum and share in there i hope you like it
Made a great rom for the GT-B5510:
It is a modified stock rom with these features:
-Rom is debloated, without anyting broken and is still very Samsung.
-All software in the ROM is up-to-date
-Yahoo crap and thinkfree office removed(I needed tha space in rom, and a much better Kingsoft office is 100% free on market)
-Rom has a CUSTOM KERNEL supporting o.a. Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, SWAP Support, IPTables support (For droidwall of avast), inti.d support, wifi sleep bug fixed.
-Rooted (includes latest version of SU)
-Inlcudes Root explorer with support for symbolic-links
-Adfree updated version of Blackmart in ROM
-Included a version of ClockWorkMod recovery that works perfectly on GT-B5510 can be used to make backups. Installing the rom is a easy as restoring the backup I made of my rom(user data wiped) same as flashing with odin only a lot easier and can be done from SD card!
I also have the stock CELG1 rom that can be flashed with ODIN 1.85 and a tool called Odinatrix that can split any file from Samfirmware in 3 files Odin can use.
Before you would install this rom you need to make 3 partitions on a CLASS 10 A brand Sandisk, Samsung or SONY, micro SD card.
Else swapping would destroy your SD card real soon!
Use ubuntu to make these:
1st partition FAT32 (total sdcard size minus 5 GB)
2nd partition Ext3 (4GB)
3rd partition LinuxSwap (1GB and do not give a name, make empty)
Swap is default enabled, you don't have to do anyting if you make the partitions and install my ROM, swap will be enabled. You can chek by running terminal emulator and type "free"
This rom is extremely fast, you won't believe the revamp. Your phone will be a Linux PC!
When you have it working:
Then go to market and install:
-LinkToSD from my friend Bullent, this allows you to install many apps.
-Storage analyzer (So you know what takes space in the /data/data folder)
-Next Launcher
After this, you will forget Cyanogen soon since now you can customize and your launcher is fully 3D
I just need a place to put it online, any suggestions where is a good place?
If you have an A brand Micro SD, and want my rom now you could contact me: mobile DOT unclexnl AT gmail DOT com
I could add them to my google drive, I think I can Email you the files then.
I want this complete toolbox for the GT-B5510 online somewhere, who knows a good place for me to put it on? Where I'm able to update the rom with new version I will make.
Forget Cyanbogen, it is a deodexed rom that means, all dalvik-cache will be on internal storage, with only 180MB of that, it's not fun!
My rom is maximum odexed (not more room in rom for more odex) this way as much as possible from that 180MB of storage stays free.

Smaller storage than announced

Hi there, I just wanted to know why the **** motorola announced that Moto Z Play XT1635-02 would come with 32GB of storage but it just came with 23.85GB, as you can see in the picture I'm not lying, it's just 23.85GB.... is there any way to fix it? Hahahahah I know that I can use a sdcard, but is there any other way?

Because it does come with 32 GB of built in storage. But if course with nothing that has any storage you wrong ever get the full capacity. In the case of every smartphone and other computer, part of that storage is already occupied by the system and its programs. And the only way to change anything would be to remove the OS but then you just have a useless brick. You should learn stuff like that before asking those questions. Or what do you think where the OS lives?

The installation file is just 1.5 GB. All inflated, installed and compiled is roughly 10 GB big. But that's not much for an operating system. iOS takes up about the same space, Windows even more. Just think about what needs space. The system partition with all the system apps (Google apps alone are already about 700mb only as apk files. Installed is most likely more), cache partition, bootloader, recovery, kernel, OS and much more. And it most likely includes some extra space that's empty at the moment but part of partitions you can't install apps to to have enough free space for future versions since with about every major update the OS becomes a bit bigger. Otherwise the installation process would need to include some form of dynamic partition size changing like it was included in windows mobile but probably wouldn't be that safe

I thought that's logic... Sure, they could ship it as a 10 GB image, but not everywhere you have fast unlimited internet speed. That's why even Microsoft leaned to make Delta updates for the big upgrades that only contain stuff that changed. That's why OTAs are mostly under a GB with the security patches taking only a few dozen MB

Question Windows on fold 4

Hi,
So I am running stock android unrooted.
I have managed to run Kali Linux in a emulated version on my fold called Termux.
I can work on it as I would on a PC. Many things are lacking but I installed what was lacking.
So my question is can I do the same with windows ?
I looked on playstore and couldn't find any kind of VMware for android devices.
Does anyone know of a VM like software for android ?
I would rather play my steam games on the mobile then run about playing with Aircrack.

What about using remote desktop and just remoting into a windows machine? Thus far that's the only thing I've done - I have not see a way to run windows directly on the zfold4.

You can try Limbo. Just found it on Github. Not sure how well it'll work.
Release Limbo Emulator 6.0.1 · limboemu/limbo

The Limbo Emulator would be cool assuming it works ok. My obvious concern is that the bluetooth and more importantly wifi would not function. I will be interested to hear results if anyone give it a try.
Ok I am willing to give this a try. I have installed the Limbo Emulator - but I have questions on how to create the needed windows 10 VHD file - I know I have everything I need to do it , including the windows 10 ISO file. Anyone point me to how to create a proper VHD file? I assume it needs to be bootable and all that but I have found nothing via google that I'm convinced is what I need to do.
Thanks!

Thanks. I already know about limbo but it mainly supports legacy windows. I am looking for windows 10 or 11.
I am after a ful blown windows not a version where half of the stuff don't work.
I am assuming it's too early to expect to find anything.
Sad to see that there is no development for fold 4.
Shame devs have moved away fro. Samsung devices. I remember note 3 and 4 there was a new rom daily. Them where the days indeed....

Just skimmed through the thread. Couldn't see if it needs root or can it be done rootless ?
Also if anyone has tried this for fold 4 does everything work ?
Like WiFi and Bluetooth and will the sim card work so I have Internet on the go ?
Sorry for questions but I don't have time the next couple of weeks to dig into this.
