[Q] [REQUEST] Program to change icons + OTHER THINGS!! - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

Is there any program that will change the icons? Or just theme the S 2, just like the Winterboard does for iPhone...
I don't want to install a custom launcher eg LauncherPro Plus and then the custom icons...
I want a program that you will put the icons in a folder and hit some apply button.
Does something like this exist? Is it really THAT hard to make something like that?
I believe the Android community should start doing something like that... I mean, look what the iphone community has done, with Winterboard and other beautiful programs. (((((((((((

Sorry... it was intended to be in the S 2 section. Dunno how the heck I got here... *pokes Firefox*
Some mod/adm del it? ^^;

looking for some opinions on icons
here are some icons I have been making started out with blackberry bold icons but started to make icons so here are the ones I made some still are like the blackberry bold but made them more brighter looking for some ideas and good opinions but not to go to far from the design
i like them, simple and nice. what program are you using to make the icons?
Very nice, minimalistic and simple, yet stylish. Well done.
i like simple and clean and i have adobe photoshop elements i had for a good 10 years and i use paint.net and gimp but the icons i did in photoshop i have a hard time going to a new photoshop
I love those Icons, they make a nice interface for the phone.
nice nice.. need em.. lol
Love em. You need to make a theme using these. Preferably a completely dark theme so that the icons stand out a lot.
I like dark backgrounds and I have started a theme I hope to have it out by Saturday.so far I have gutting good replies but my concerns are which my faves icon do you think I should use and do you think the settings looks ok the way it is or do you think the gear needs to be bigger or I was thinking no gear and add a wrench. oh decisions ineed to make up for my stargate theme lol
I like the myFaves icon with the people, but I don't use myFaves at all so my opinion on that doesn't really matter xD
Which icon is the Settings one? The one that looks like a Toolbox? I think that you should make the icon for that either a wrench or gears, but honestly the toolbox will be good enough to identify it since there would be text underneath each icon.
<3 them kron. just waiting for you to release them
Very nice, very nice.
what size do the icon have to be 46x46????
48x48 is the icon size
Great icons! I like the "people" icon for my favs, they all look very nice. hurry up with this theme, lol.
Changing Market app icons?
Does any one know if you need to do anything special to repackage a market app icon? I tried changing an icon for cinema player and signed it with the test keys and it wont install. it says it installed but it isn't.
i would love to know as well
The market icon is in vending.apk
You added your icon to the music app close it, reopened it to make sure it saved it, then resigned it and I didnt work? If you are having trouble signing files try the Stericson signing made easy thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=473580
I don't mean the market app, I mean apps from the market like cinema or shopsavy for example.
i get same error. I can change any of the app icons in the update.zip but when i extract an app with astro and update and sign, it wont install. I even tried the desktop install tool. No luck.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong but wouldn't you need access to that developers source code to do this.

Ask How to get theme
damn i see randum access is going hard on the themes.... im diggin the majority of them, some id add much more to, but i like tha idea to have multiple mini-variations.... hopefully people would invest enough of their free time to learn to edit and create themes, its not that bad and kinda fun... especially with the end result and feedback is like a pat on the back
quick question, i now have access, and im sure u do as well to all of Better Android's apps, since we are theme makers they reimburse anything that we buy from them... i used bettercut to change up the icon, would this help in your travels? just place the pngs on the sdcard and change icon > pick picture....
i kno it doesnt permanently keep that icon changed, but thought id throw that out there, wish it was a way to impliment permanent changes or as open home changes skins, maybe icons 2
** Edit, posted on wrong theme lol . Damn tabbed browsing.
Nice theme
I'm running this theme now, but i LOVE Fallout and wish we could get a full working system like this for Windows Mobile:

[Q] MIUI icon background

Launchers of like Touchwiz, iPhone, MIUI and DELL android tablet use those squared backgrounds for the icons on their home screen.
I've searched XDA for a themer/dev who has done this but no luck.
People seem to rather remove the iPhone's icon style but I think it looks nice.
Now I want to achieve this effect on a Sense or non-Sense based ROM without photo shopping every icon.
So is there a way to mod a Standalone Launcher like LauncherPro or ADW to have this icon style?
I'd love to help if any dev wants to give this a shot.
Thanks.
Ah, on second thought, I posted this at the general android forum because I can get more answers there, sorry.
Please delete this thread.
I've posted the thread here instead:

You guys just make some app and that's all. No polish, nothing. I thought the Android community could do more...

You mean like metamorph, where you put the files you want to change into a folder and hit 'apply", and as if by magic the icons change!!
Metamorph
No, metamorph, if I recall correctly, doesn't change the icons in the app drawer.
You should have explained clearer, and metamorph will allow you to change the "app icon" provided it's in "/system/"

Change system color - CM-7.2.0-jordan

Hi,
I am looking for a hint how to change the color of the bar icons in my CM7.2? The icons for WLAN, Battery and that stuff comes in a disgusting turquois style, I hate that. I would like to have the green color back like in the old version! How to do?
BTW: I use Launcher PRO, and not the AWD launcher. I tried it with AWD launcher and themes, but this only affects the "front", but not the system in the main bar on top of the screen. So I do NOT want to check themes or something, I am satisfied with it like it is, except color.
Thanks! ;-)
In app draver should be theme chooser, select system there.

Did you read my posting!?
I do NOT (!!!!!) want another theme!
I am satisfied with this one, the standard from installing.
I just want to change the main color of the CM System, (used in the battery icon, the WLAN-Icon and other stuff, right on the right top of the phone for example) from turquois to the green and old one.
You can certainly change the colour by editing framework stuff. But I would like to inform you that it is not easy but not impossible.
You will need to use adb and stuff. Sorry I don't remember the exact details/step.
Plus be warned if done incorrectly it can semi-brick your phone. I will insist its better to look for other CM7 themes for theme chooser. The are hundreds of them.

You dont have to install another theme, it should be in the themechooser already named System, but CM7 defaults to their own Cyanbread theme.
You could use UOT kitchen too.

I feel like someone should say this... You do realize you're running CYANogenMod, right?
Just kidding. Variety is the spice of life. Hopefully one of these guys will be able to show you an easy way to accomplish this.
