half way throu root and not working

so i followed the instructions here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=123714 and i got to 5m now i dont know what has happen can i start from the beginning again cause now i wont let me go throu with the other steps
please can some1 help im not very good with this

first did you TYPE what it says, no copy?
and second, why didnt you just use somple root, its the same thing just "simple"

yes i did type and i dont know i thought that the 1 i was doing was simple until i started

one question how do i get that to work my htc sync isnt working

idk if u tried, but uninstall and reinstall

so i tried that app and it says failed to copy part 1, 2, 3 permission denied

ok, first of all, do you have microsoft .NET framework 4?
and second, did u turn on usb debugging for EVERY step?

I wouldn't doubt that it's the HTC Sync. Keep trying it until you know for sure that it is working 100%. Also, like previously stated make sure usb debugging is on.

[Q] Problem in flash content display

I rooted mt desire with lee driod but I am facing problem in flash contents on websites , they are not getting displayed and I am unable to uninstall and install flash player again , even if I install flash 10.1 file nothing happens
all the buttons are disabled on application management screen for that and its not working fine also ....
I want to restore to original software (HTC Original) how can I do that ...???

Flash your RUU. Get it from
[ROM] Official HTC Desire RUU ROMS and OTA Update URLs
Be careful if you have SLCD screen.

that u do not have correct ROM update utility or some thimes that cannot connect to phone please check USB connection....
I want to fix flash player issue
it is not showing flash content even after installation
so i wanted to move to original version
please help I am totally frustrated with all this
wished I had never used these useless ROMs n all

flash works fine for me with leedroid, please respect the developers and there hard work, dont call there roms useless because you are too much off a noob to remove installflashplayer.apk from /system/app/ and install it manually.....

Sorry for that I did not knew these things are so important
I tried removing the file thru file manager but as it is write protected cannot be removed .... is thr ne other process to remove
Also shud I install ROM again , I hav clockmod in phone , is everything needs to be wiped out

/but it always gives error 171 cannot detect USB connection

Is because the diagnostic mode doesn't work on AOSP roms! EPST in general doesn't work in AOSP so no ## code is going to work!
Try to flash a sense rom like Sprint Lovers or anything that has EPST build into it!

that's because it's ##3424# NOT ##34242# OK!!!!
and if that does not work and you have root check out this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034373
you will need terminal emulator from the market give it super user permissions and it should work

thanks for the replies guys , i will try that soon but what happened was this now : (first let me say that im very very pissed off lol, i did the ##3424# and it worked like a charm but heres what happened...im following a tut somewhere and they said that it was ##34242# so i assumed it was my phone which was rooted with cyonegen or whatever lol...now i did something but long story even shorter: its back to stock rom no super user and usb notifications doesnt come out when i connect the phone. just a message saying qualcom blah blah MSM.
and my sd card isnt reading either from the phone

should i run unrevoked via fastboot or hboot or whatever? because the pc doesnt detect it on usb mode ?

Maybe u should just ruu back to stock n c if everything is working. If not take it to sprint. If is then reroot

First , It Started By Me Being Curious & Wanting To Get Sense 3.0 On Evo Using The Synergy Kingdom ROM. I Did Everything But Apparently Every Flash I Try Doing It Tells Me "Installation Aborted". It Frustrates Me Because I Never Failed At Any Of My Flashes.
So I Cant Flash To Sense 3.0 , But Now I Can Only Restore My Backups , I Triedd Going To CM7 , Still Another Aborted Installation.
So Today I Took Time Off To Get This Phone Flashed Again ! Yeah .. Didnt Work Out , I Tried Upgrading It To Official Non-Rooted 4.24 , & Still , Another Aborted Installation. I Try Using The RUU Method By Using The PC & My Phone Dosent Give Me The Option Pop Up That Allows you To Set "Charging Only" Or The "Disk Drive" Neither The HTC Sync Option. Im Stuck On Stock 3.70 , Please Help , Apparently I Feel Like A Newbie Noob At This Now , & Im Asking For Help , Please ?

Use the pc36img.zip way of running ruu, then flash amon ra recovery. Before that, you should back up your sd card, then reformat it.
After you get recovery, position your card, and flash synergy.

So I Tried It & Another FAIL -____- , I Felt It Was Working But During The Installation Of The Unrevoked Forever.zip , It Was Automatically Aborted

is your recovery broken? try and older recovery .

help! accidently installed broken kernel!

hey guys, i really really need some help here please. i finally decided to root my phone, that went fine, then i decided to look for a kernel so i could overclock my desire z, i downloaded kernel manager, and installed Flippy125's 1.9ghz froyo kernel (which i didnt know was broken because it didnt say so on kernel manager)...after that kernel was installed, i now cant connect to wifi, cant get a mobile network signal, and cant connect to the pc at all (usb disk drive, usb debugging, internet pass through) i cant get any sort of internet what so ever to try going to kernel manager and getting a new one can you help me out at all on how to reset it to a factory kernel or anything that can atleast get my phone working again? thanks guys

Did you create a backup in recovery before you upgraded the kernel? If so wipe and the restore. If not try to find a stock rom and flash back to stock. Youll lose all your apps however.

is it possible to do it through the clockwork recovery console? i was trying to get into it for like an hour then my phone randomly restarted into it while i was typing that first post...lol
EDIT: okay guys, i found some MIUI rom on my sd card, installed that, and everything seems to work now, but seems like it'll be a major chore to get used to, is there any way i can use the original HTC UI? or do i have to use different ROM's from now on?

Don't flash that kernel. ROMs have their built-in kernels that are already fast (1500Mz when the phone was originally rated 800Mz is impressive). Try different ROMs out.

okay guys, im pretty sure i got it all figured out now, that MIUI rom made everything work, and from there i've been looking at different rom's, so far i keep going back to the MIUI one though just because im used to it the most so far xD, AND the fact i hate restoring my stuff every time i try a new rom..so..yeah, but thanks for ur help guys i can see this will be the forum i'll be using for alot of my questions/help requests.
