[Q] Help , EVO In Need Of Help ?

Ok So Im A Rooted User , Ive Been Rooted For Ever Since I Received My Evo 4G. But Recently I Think I Have Some Bad Issues With It & I Dont Know What Else To Do.
First , It Started By Me Being Curious & Wanting To Get Sense 3.0 On Evo Using The Synergy Kingdom ROM. I Did Everything But Apparently Every Flash I Try Doing It Tells Me "Installation Aborted". It Frustrates Me Because I Never Failed At Any Of My Flashes.
So I Cant Flash To Sense 3.0 , But Now I Can Only Restore My Backups , I Triedd Going To CM7 , Still Another Aborted Installation.
So Today I Took Time Off To Get This Phone Flashed Again ! Yeah .. Didnt Work Out , I Tried Upgrading It To Official Non-Rooted 4.24 , & Still , Another Aborted Installation. I Try Using The RUU Method By Using The PC & My Phone Dosent Give Me The Option Pop Up That Allows you To Set "Charging Only" Or The "Disk Drive" Neither The HTC Sync Option. Im Stuck On Stock 3.70 , Please Help , Apparently I Feel Like A Newbie Noob At This Now , & Im Asking For Help , Please ?

Use the pc36img.zip way of running ruu, then flash amon ra recovery. Before that, you should back up your sd card, then reformat it.
After you get recovery, position your card, and flash synergy.

So I Tried It & Another FAIL -____- , I Felt It Was Working But During The Installation Of The Unrevoked Forever.zip , It Was Automatically Aborted

is your recovery broken? try and older recovery .

[Q] Device rooted but can't get root access

I can't use supperuser , it crashes everytime i open it , saying that this file "com.noshufou.android.su" stopped suddendly . I can't use app2sd, Rootchecker, etc ..
I've already unrooted and rooted again, and i still get the same problem .

... so, my device is rooted and i cant get any root access !

Seems like the root didn`t work properly. Maybe try getting Root Browser for example and see if you can access the system files. What recovery do you use ? And how did you root it ? What you`re saying sounds weird .. it worked the first time for me. I remember the process was just taking an update.zip , going to recovery mode and flashing it and that`s all

I already rooted my devide like, half year ago just to use app2sd , but now when any app tries to get root acces, superuser sudently closes .. I don't use any recovery . I rooted just like you, but with another tutorial and it worked just in the first time .
Its like, I have my device rooted but at the same time unrooted .
EDIT : I've instaled Root Browser and i can access to system files, but just for some seconds, because superuser crashes .

Hm maybe somewhere in these 6 months something just happened i don`t know what to say if you use the stock rom . Me , if something bad happens i just wipe and flash my rom again or do an advanced restore in CWM. Sorry for not being able to help you.

I got the problem solved !!
i used SuperOneClick and removed my root , then restarted my device and still got root (dont know how :laugh but without Superuser . Then i instaled Superuser from market and now works perfectly !!

If you're phone was rooted It never gave u that error, for rooting you're phone there are some ways but I recommend u to flash a stock ROM (Maybe U ruined some file in system or something like that, so It's better to flash a new ROM) then turn on you're phone after that again go to recovery and flash CWM and reboot you're phone and go to CWM and mount system, data and flash a "Update.zip" which Is available in Android Development topics.
Or U can just simply flash one of those Gingerbread's ROMs (Crane fusion, Enhanced 2.3.6 etc...)

Need help please

I have a uk orange htc one x S-ON, ORANG001, I unlocked it via HTCdev, no problems, left it a few months till something better came out and found the viperx rom, it said that it needed diff HBOOT, so I followed the guide and put HBOOT 1.36.0000 on phone, that went fine. Installed the Viperx Rom and when it booted, I had no network operator at all, airplane mode was stuck on "turning off" no wireless, since then I have tried to reset and put a diff rom on, no luck at all, everytime I reboot it is stuck on the HTC screen, the one with The logo in the centre of screen. please please please could someone help me to get a rom installed.

Did you flash the boot.img from the viper rom correctly ?
Try a full wipe again,clear everything in the recovery and don't forget to wipe the dalvik cache too, and when you get to the aroma installer of the rom and asks you which kernel you are using. A custom or a stock one ! Make sure you answer the question with NO ! we don't have custom kernels yet

Okies I have managed to get it installed, .......SShhhwwwwoooooosshhh, relieved, now i need to get all my apps back on, music and stuff. Do i install the install zips? and then there is an ota update ready also, is this available from Creator yet. Sorry if I am asking the wrong questions, I have 12 hours before I go back to work and I am a mobile carer, so I really need my phone. After this, I will give it a while, before doing another Rom Flash...Lol.

Yes you can flash the viper ota's 1 by 1 and reboot on between. If you let them install automatically and you get an error in the recovery you can flash them manually, they are located in the download folder :thumbup:

Many thanks indeed, updates done and Rom stable so far, also got the donate to update thingy on phone. Just have 1 issue, I use a Lame proggy for easy backup of pictures and stuff, but It will not connect to it via usb to pc, would you have any ideas that I can try, apart from use a diff backup...lol, I just need to retrieve my stuff then I will.

You mean its an app on the phone that backs it up or a progg on the pc that syncs the phone ?

Kinda both matey, theres a proggy on pc and an app on phone.

Hmmm did it work with any other JB rom, or is this the first JB rom you are running. Otherwise my guess is that the program needs to see the device as a usb disk and the JB roms have now MTP protocol and no usb diskdrive options anymore.....

Ahh that might be it then, I suppose there will be no way of getting this feature again is there. Will have to keep a lookout then for a rom that is going to work with the firmware, boot.img and Rom. As today, I tried to install 5 other Roms, and they all failed, or crashed at the htc screen, so the only way i actually got the phone up again was via Venom x rom.....hoping a way comes soon.

I emailed HTC support directly regarding this issue. Here is the answer I received:
" "I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with USB OTG on the device. Unfortunately this was never a feature that was intended to be used on the device and there is no way to work around this without voiding the devices warranty I am sorry to say. The work around that will void the devices warranty involves rooting the device with a ROM that includes USB OTG. This can be made possible as HTC has released the kernel source code for the USB on the HTC One X."

Hy guy's I try to explain my problem with my bad spaghetti english
Yesterday i want try to root my note 2 with the 4.3 OS, i have never use kies.
I have rooted the phone with Vrooter and than I have installed superuser, because I dont understand the chinese
after I have installed the TWRP recovery, I have make the EFS and the system backup, format all the data and try to install DN£ ROM.....
I write tryu, because the operation was failled, and now I have the phone without OS.
I can go in the download mode, I can enter in the recovery, but I cant install my backup
I think I have to restore the firmaware, I have downloaded the firmaware 4.4 original, but the problem is Im one mac user and im not able to use Heimdall, I dont find the pit of my phone, and I have problem to put the file inside the progra,.
I have try to make this on the xp in one virtual machine, alll goes good...Odin see my phone connected ( I have installed the usb driver) but when I go in download moide for start the recovery the program stop, an d i lost the connection with the phone.....
What I can do???
I can recovery the phone from tne recoverY??'Somebody can help with me with one guide for Heimdall with the relative file I need??'

You also need to give more relevant information. What happens or what does it say when you try and use the restore function in TWRP?

the problem is when I enter in the recovery and try to restore my backup I dont see it, i see nothing , I f I enter in the install menu I see my sd card, but no in the restore menu.......
One strange thing happenend me is when i reboot the recovery, first compare the advice I dont have the OS installed, and then appear this message: Your device does not appear to be rooted Install SUperSU now?
I click yes....but I think nothin happenend ....because appear every time...

Just flash the Original 4.4 you got and you're good to go. But I think you should have to use Windows PC, NOT under Virtual Machine. Install necessary drivers and try to flash the Original 4.4 rom you downloaded.

Hello,
I haven't found in this big repository which is XDA any good ROM for HTC desire 620 (single sim), but i found it in other place in internet and i decide to share with you guys. This forum is missing special section for phone HTC desire 620 and i have to write it here in general "desire" section and becouse of "To prevent spam, you must have a higher post count in order to make a new thread in this development section.�But feel free to make new thread in the non-development sections like General, Q&A, etc. Thanks for your understanding!" I'm force to write this thread in General Secion. I hope there is not big deal with this and moderator will not delete it rather moving it to right section and let the others desire 620 users take benefits of such good ROM from CM.

STEPS:
1. Unlock your Bootloader.
Register on site https://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/and simply follow the steps
2. Install TWRP.

3. Do backup of your current system via TWRP.
4. Do wipe/factory reset
5. Install ROM.
6. Install gapps.
7. Install SuperSU.
8. Restart phone and enjoy! :highfive:
Bugs foud so far by me, to confirm:
- display percent of battery in battery icon on bar is not working
display percent of battery next to icon or hide percent is work fine.
Edit: Now it's working. I think it's after install Theme for CM12 from Play Store.
- Flash light and Torch dont work when battery is low and there is no information about it.

i am trying to find a rom for the HTC desire 620 right now as i have just got one to keep me going till i get an upgrade in a few months.... Is there any others you know of?

Problem with CM 12.1 for HTC Desire 620
Please guys I just successfully flashed CM 12.1 on my HTC Desire 620 it worked well at first but after i downloaded some apps from play store, my device just blacked out and started showing CM boot animation for several minutes, then it showed android is starting optimising apps after optimising, I thought the device will boot but it went back to the CM boot animation and that is how it has been doing. I have used TWRP to do a wipe now everything is normal but if I download or install an app the problem starts again. Please I need your help

I have tried all the methods to repair the IMEI, but none of them worked. Even I tried flashing a new ROM (CM13) and now I cant even enter the ENGINEERING MODE , says that engineeringmode.apk is not installed. But even though I have accessed engineering mode in a different rom, the CDS info option was not highlighted to be clicked on and I couldn't fix it.
Please someone help me with this problem

Where did you find CM 13

Solution for invalid imei on Htc desire 620
If your device is custom rom and showing invalid imei ,then firstly flash stock rom on your htc desire 620 with flash tool in PC. Then note down your imei no.(printed on back of your phone). Root your mobile with kingroot.apk. Install chamlephon on your device. Then type your imei manually on that application.then restart.your imei will be repaired.
If you want to install custom roms then firstly install Mobile uncle tool and select backup and restore IMEI then backup the imei to extsdcard. Then flash your custom rom. And if its showing imei error then root with kingroot.apk and install mobileuncle tool.apk,then select restore imei from extsdcard then reboot.IMEI will surely get soluted. Hit helpfull if you like this thread.
