Can we get a list going of apps and bloatware that can be deleted from roms. Example field test, voice dial.

Is it me or when I try looking for it in the market it won't come up...
Or does this phone not support that app...

For some reason when u search it don't come up. I suggest searching google, clicking on a google app such as maps, then scroll down in the market page and click all applications it will show all the google apps in the market and listen will be there.

Always worked well for me. Make sure you allow texts from the Sprint voicemail device though, or you wont ever get your voicemail notifications!

Call filter works for me

if i know the digits, ill add them to my block lists via my account at sprint.com.
I use super private conversation. I'm running CM7 and I downloaded it to block the phantom texts you get when you get a voicemail but it also has an option to block private numbers

This is what I switched to for CM7, it works great whereas some apps I've used in the past (CallFilter, GBlocker) don't anymore.

yeah that happened to me, haha, at first i thought it was a bug on Mr. number but it was just i denied texts from sprint voicemail. but all is good now =)
I use the blacklist included in CM6/CM7. MIUI also has a blacklist (firewall IIRC) that can block incoming numbers from ever ringing. Not sure if it covers text messages, but the Spanish bill collectors I get calling me daily (I've had this number for 2 years now) don't text message me.
Has anyone noticed lately that when you log in to google voice, it doesn't give the option to skip voice mail setup? Any way around this?
Huh? I only get asked when flashing a fresh rom

I usually sign in and out of google voice on a daily basis. It used to offer a "Skip" button when I would get to where it asks for the voicemail setup. Not seeing that option any longer. It's not a big deal or anything.. just requires me to go into settings and switch my voicemail options back over to my carrier.
Haven't found a way to remove frequently called or contacted from the phone or people app. Kinda sux seeing my ex's info right there every single time. Temps me to text or call. And yes drunk texts apply here so it'd b nice to be able to remove these on demand lol
Anyone know how?

Press the menu button and then clear call log.
Not the call log. The frequently contacted. Its the last column in each app, phone app and people app. designated with a star icon at the top of the people app

Oh sorry. I misunderstood you. You could try clearing data in the contacts app. Not contact storage.
I haven't tried it so I can't confirm. That's my only educated guess.

Hold down on contacted and then hit the 3 dot thing and tap remove from log. To remove favorites you gotta log in and click on contact and then find the find the setting to remove starred contacts but it didnt update on phone. I dont know how to proceed with that part.

Clearing data in contacts storage works on mine, and it must on yours as well.
Only thing I can think of if that doesn't work, is if you store your contacts on phone or sim. But can't understand why you would do that.

How can this data be cleared? I have been trying to find a way to clear the frequently called list for weeks since ICS came out!!
Anyone thought about checking in their Gmail account online to see if Google has said contact(s) flagged as frequently contacted?

Sadly that clears even the call log. I want to clear the frequently called list or some specific numbers from that list but maintain my history.
I don't mind the frequently called list to be hidden since I can manually clear the history. Frequently called list however does not allow deleting some numbers.

This really is annoying.
you could just install exdialer from the market. you can delete individually calls from call history (incoming/outgoing/missed). and you get T9 dialing with it as well as a bunch of other useful stuff missing from the stock dialer.
doesn't consume much resources, very fast, and you can have it look almost exactly like stock dialer with its ICS theme.
If you want to have the same stock dialer icon you can use desktop visualizer (free) and link it to the stock dialer icon.
Did this come from an App ?
Someone just texted you, either randomly or you gave them your number. Keep in mind many apps can see your phone number, like the Facebook app for example. The Facebook app in some cases actually lets your friends facebook apps, not Android apps but Facebook apps through the Android app, see your number.
Just ignore it. On other carriers I would recommend blocking the number but it really doesn't matter since you have unlimited texting on sprint. You can block numbers easily on sprint and on google voice though, so if it is bothering you just block the number on sprints website or on the google voice site, depending on which you use.

lmao I got one of these a while ago. I got a text bombing app and sent them 1000 texts telling them to f off. havent got another text from them
I just bombed that number for reassurance.

Be sure to add them to your block list as well.
So if I login to sprint I can set call filters?
That Google voice should I set it up?
I thought I didn't need it?
Got a text like this too... Maybe 2 a month. Just found out sprint charged me for one international text. Must be an app causing this. Either way I suggest saving it if you ever receive another, in case sprint wants to charge. Or just bomb the number.
Epic-ly tapped from my Galaxy SII
What's the name of the text bombing app lol?
