Diamond dead during hard spl update

HI all! It will be more then great if anybody can help me.
The story is simple one guy decide to unlock his Diamond throw some free way ( I don't know how exectly ) he end with error 260 and DEAD Diamond.
The device does not get into bootloader when pressing Vol_- + reset.
Now this Diamond in my hands.
Can anyone please advice what can I do? can I flash ROM?
P.S. this phone are new and Orange UK branded.
Please help and sorry for my poor English.

On the Diamond you can access bootloader by jsut reseting and holding down the "Vol Down" Key only...
Try this and report back.

Where is this error 260 indicated ? If the ROM starts up and shows some error, the bootloader will work for sure.

try to make an hard reset by press vol down + central button + reset.
maybe you have to use mtty but I can't help you cause I never use it...

That what I told volume down + reset not working with this phone. It is in another one which I have here.
The phone doesn't show any signs of life, I think I need test point or maybe JTAG way to repair it......
Any suggestions?

I don't know I got this phone it this condition with a story about this error.
I don't actually know what happened, but I believe that this phone bricked down in the middle of unlocking process.

If there is no life in the phone then there is not much we offer/say to help.
Have you tried another battery?

Only to make a bit easy this step cause in this way one would be an octopus , soft reset your device with stylus and then, within 3 seconds, hold Vol down + centre round button until you see the tricolour screen. Release the buttons and follow the instructions (Press Vol Up to restore to manufactured settings).

This is the typical case when someone didnt do his homework. Im sure you didnt read the stickies. Poeple be warned, flashing your device can kill it if you dont have a clue on what you are doing. Ive seen a bunch of n00bs bricking their devices just because the didnt read the forum. This question has been ansewred a lot.

sorry friend to hear but i have one solution may be it can work u just flash hard spl v 1.93 olinex from here:http://ficca.bounceme.net/download/HARDSpl_Diamond_OliNex_1.93_Unsigned.zip just flash this hspl and after flashing this u can flash any rom but now u just flash this hspl if u got 100% then ur prob is solve so pls tell me what happen after that hope every thing will be alright good luck

Error 260 is a USB communication error. Did this happen during sim unlock or during hardspl install because the thread title says one thing and your post says another.

I have the same problem.. i tried a flash and then it wont turn on.. not even hard reset not even soft reset.. it wont even charge or indicate charging.

Hey charly, i flashed my phones many times, i've bricked it , got stuck on the tricolour screen.... but this time it's different... the phone it's completely dead... no light .. not charging no tricolour .. nothing:S

try this method for ur diamond
first remove ur battery form ur device and press the power button for 20 seconds . so it will discharge the power from ur device. after that put ur battery and press volume - and power on button to enter boot loader ... dont press reset button to enter bootloader ok !! hope this works for u , best of luck.

no luck.... i did the battery on the fridge processs.. no luck with that either... now i'm gonna check the battery with somekind of instrument and after that i'm gonna open my diamond to little pieces and put it back together... in quest for a fix

a did some measurements, the battery was 2.8V, i put it on the phone, put the phone in ccharger, and it did charge the batery to 3.7V(even the baterry led is not working).. i measured the phone also it gives 4.15V to the battery... i dont know is he charging correctly.. but it's charging the battery for sure.. ..... any clues ppl?

Bricked Beyond Repair?

right now my dash, when powered on, will just display a white screen.. when doing a hard-reset...nothing happens, when trying to do to the bootloader thing,the tri-color thing doesnt show but the computer does detect the dash...so i tried an update to stock...and it said that instalation was successful,alltho it was not

i thank you for the swift response,but im sorry to say that those two posts dont help me in the least bit...i fully understand the upgrade process, im just having some technical difficulties that i cant figure out, but please if there is anymore information that i can offer,feel free to ask... im kinda phone-less until i can solve this problem

how about these essages
you tried plugging it into the computer while holding the camera key? also how about the normal press two home keys and cycle the power button? If these dont work PM me and I will help you out. When you use the bootloader make sure that you are flashing back to a tmboile rom

Can't get into Download-Mode! Please help me flashing..

I just can't get into the download-mode.. i tried it hundred times! Its always just booting like normal!
I want to flash the I9000XWJM5 Firmware and then the SamSet V1.9. But i just cant get the download-mode working! So i can't flash anything...
Is there an other way to get into that mode? Or is it possible to flash the I9000XWJM5 ROM in the recovery mode?

now my Galaxy stucks at the black/white Samsung writing! None of the button-combinations work! And it is not recognized by my PC!

Remove battery for 30 sec, press volume down + menu + power for more than 6 seconds (till the screen comes up). Should work than.
What provider are you on? Cos some phones from Bell dont go into download mode from what I heard.

i'm afraid so
if you can not do the 3 button combination to get it back into the download mode, you'll have to return it to samsung which will refer you back to the phone company to have it fixed

nothing helped... this sucks! those kutton-combinations did not work at all.. even before i obviously bricked my phone.. dammit!

at this point there is no much to do but throw in the tower, and take it back to the place where you bough it.
tell them the 3 button restore mode doesn't work, and you can't continue upgrading to version 2.2

samsung s5230 stuck on phone lock

hi guys,
i got a samsung s 5230 (toco lite), and it is stuck on phone lock when i turn it on.
is there a way,where i connect it to usb to get the code with a program.
or if i hold down ( down volume,camera,power button) the phone turns on,it wont go to the down load screen/ unless i am doing it wrong?? so i dont know if i can re flash this phone.

you forget pattern/pin or what ? the easy way is to flash again by Odin
keep things as simple as possible I suppose you do not have important data on phone if so just flash again !

Would you have a link to the latest flash files please.

-flash again by Odin check if you can enter recovery/download mode by keys
-when your phone is starting you should see a samsung/android logo this is botloader image..if you can't see it phone is bricked it means bootloader is affected and you need service tools to repair bootloader
never flash it without checking battery status at least 50% and use a laptop on battery to avoid power surge problems

Samsung s5230 is run properiatly os so you cannot use odin, but you can use mulitloader program to flash stock firmware to your phone.

Had 2 times Flashed My A750FN/DS on Bootloader :facepalm: wow,
and the phone is still on Bootloop.
There is no Chance to Shut the Phone until 1 Option:
You had to wait until the battery is empty.
i had done that yet.
so its stil on 0%<>1% almost
No Chance to get in Download Mode
and No Chance to get in Recovery Modus.
How came that so,
In stressy situations.. but ok.. isnt as answer acceptable for all :/ .
so i have here an video for show.

Please help for any solution i will apreciate that much.

In the video you are not holding down the home button as far as I see this.
Press Volume Down + Power + Home button to get into download mode

Theres No Chance To get into Download Mode, in Anyknd of Combination Holding The Buttons .

I know how to handle a Download Modus ^^ !

I was self wondering. MAgical Feeling !
Voila, Youre Now On Download Mode !
That Still Work 100% Defently, if You Have This Problem Like Me.
So Now You Can Do The Right Thing.
Flash Your Phone with The Original Stock ROM.
