Well, i think something is majorly wrong with my epic..
i normally turn it off to charge while i sleep, cause it gets really hot if i charge it while its on.
but now when its off and plugged in, it only shows the empty battery icon thing with the loading wheel and the touch buttons on the bottom light up, and the red light does not show, and i seem to actually be losing battery like this. (stays like that as long as i have the cable plugged in too) :O
i was on Frozen 1.2 when this started
ive flashed back to stock ECO5 and this did not fix the problem
and i am now on ACS Bamboozle EF02.
ive used 3 different cables btw
Does anybody know how to fix this problem??

Edited....if it truly started on SRF 1.2 then you need to take your phone to the Sprint store. If it actually started on a Gingerbread ROM, then its a known issue with the leaks

hey guys I need help. This started the other day everytime I plug my charger in then unplug it the light stays orange and the battery icon looks like the phone is still charging. Even if I reset the phone it still stays on sometimes. Then when I fully charge it the light will stay on green and the battery stays on full. Any ideas what could be causing this. I really don't want to go to sprint because I have a lot of stuff on my phone that I can't backup. Could this just be a charging port issue or software related? Any help or ideas are appreciated thanks!
Did you try taking out the battery and put it back in?

Yea sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt the light would stay on idk whats goin on
Are you rooted and running a custom Rom? If not return the evo for an exchange. If you are on a Rom then try full wipe and a new Rom.

My notification led does not come on when charging. Also it doesn't come on when i receives txts or emails. I know the light works because i went into the test menu and they worked there.
PS. I also cant charge while the phone is off. When a cable is plugged in the phone automatically boots up instead of showing the battery charging screen.
Can somebody help me out?

Are you on a custom ROM? If so try to Odin back to EC05 and see if that makes them work again. It may have been a bad flash.

long story short.....our led sucks....
no, it works perfectly for me now. im pretty sure i messed something up when i was flashing roms.
I tried loading the new senzation rom. it installed successfully then when i went to restart my phone it just stayed on the samsung galaxy s2 splash screen. now it won't turn on. so i figured it was out of battery. i plugged it in for a 2 hours already and still wont turn on. i notice that the power led light is blinking a dim blue. anybody got any ideas on how to fix this?

Sounds like a bad flash. Go into Download mode (volume down+ power button while phone is turned off) and Odin back to stock... I its just a soft brick so you should be fine...

I've been on aokp milestone 5.2 for a few days and I didn't know if it was related to the rom or something I did or whatever but I'll be texting or on Facebook or doin something and my phone will just go to the boot animation of the pink unicorn. And I should probably mention that the colors are out of whack for a few seconds before it goes back to normal and boots up.
Edit: Everything's still there when it boots up everything's where it should be and nothing is missing or anything it just literally reboots instantly without warning or notice.
Edit: Could it be that I'm using advanced task killer? I figured it was okay since it was on the high security level setting, just throwing that out there
Thanks for any help.

No solution to this? It's the same as when I posted this thread, 100% random as far as I can tell. I don't notice anything specific that I'm doing when the reboots happen either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got no help but I can say that this ROM ran totally smooth for me for a while and then suddenly got laggy, and apps have begun not responding regularly.
sent from a secret underground bunker
It is usually either a kernel panic or running out of RAM. You could try the V6 Supercharger for the RAM issue. As for the other I would always try odin clean stock then root and flash ROM and do not restore any data. Download and reinstall 3rd party apps fresh.

Use to happen to me also when i was on AOKP. I only noticed it when i was listening to my music tho....all my VC settings stayed the same after it booted back up so like you said it was just a random reboot. I installed V6 and that worked for the most part. The reboots did start back later on down the road tho.....

If by stock battery you mean the battery it came with then yes. I'm also running aggressive settings with v6 supercharger.
My only real concern was if it was damaging my phone in any way, or if something had already been damaged. But as I've said I really can't see anything out of whack aside from the reboots and colors. (the colors get inverted or negative or something for a few seconds on pink unicorn boot animation then goes back to normal and boots up)

This also happens to me. Same way. But usually when backing out of a text or when ending a phone call. Stock battery. V6 and no v6. Stock kernel and nyan, sammi, and shadow. What I noticed about the reboot is that it doesn't scan sd card or media.

Solution to this is to go back to a TW based rom...try sleeper or the peoples rom, joy and profit

This has been pretty much been the most frustrating update process of my 4 Android devices that I have owned.
Hoping some of the sharp people here can help me out.
Buttons Not Working - About every third or fourth time I wake my phone my physical buttons do not work. I have to put the phone to sleep and re-wake (sometimes multiple times) to get my phone's buttons to work.
Excessive Battery Drain - Yikes!!! I have uninstalled all my apps, and it is still occurring. Any other ideas to figure out what might be causing this?
Constant 3G data movement - When wi-fi is off, my phone is constantly pushing 3g data up and down....non-stop!
Excessive Phone Heat - My phone is running like a furnace.
Now, I think the last three are probably connected in some way.

That is not ICS you have something running in the background. That would cause all of that. Get a battery monitor app and see what is running

I am glad I am not the only ones with these problems.
It has to be a ICS function that is causing the excessive battery drain.
I currently have no non stock apps installed.
I have noticed that the battery ran from 100% to 25% but battery drain had no slowed considerably....maybe faulty logic in how they are calculating percentages?
The one I would really like to solve is the buttons not working, as there will be lots of battery related threads as more and more people upgrade.

The malfunctioning buttons have been happening to some of us on every ROM, whether it's Gingerbread or ICS. It happens to mine on stock GB or stock I'VE.
Just so you know, you can tap the volume Roche to wake up the buttons. You don't have to cycle the screen. Tap the volume button, wait second or so and you will see the capacitive buttons blink once... That means they've reset. Sometimes you have to do it twice.

Same issue here with the retarded battery life, stock rooted FF18. It's pathetic. Constant battery drain while "sleeping", with wifi on or off. Guess i'll have to try a different ROM.

I tried this yesterday when I was getting terrible battery life. I went from fully charged to dead in 3 hours flat.
I ended up doing a factory reset with sfhub's one-click and am slowly testing and restoring apps to see what's acting as a vampire.

You should try it again if it didn't work!
Not everyone's issue is going to be caused by the same thing. What may work for you may not always work for everyone else. It may be an app or ICS in general causing the issue.
