Picture quality isn't that great but it looks pretty good. Was looking for something like this earlier but it's to late already bought a case yesterday. Bummer but you might add the link to this thread. Some folks might try it.

New cases for the HTC Desire

Has anyone heard about new cases available for the HTC Desire.
I've had a case from Dragonfly for a while, but it has started cracking now and I fancy something new.
Has anyone got a good suggestions?
search for GEL cases off ebay.
Haven't got a desire, but got one on my Hero and it looks fantastic.
Don't get RUBBER or SILICONE, they're weak!
I've done a bit of research and I think I might look in to a Case-Mate case.
Has anyone had one before.
I don't want it to crack like me current has...
I agree with DDotPatel
I have used used gel cases on basically all of my phone and I have never had an issue with them, the protection they provide is great, and its not too thick either.

Which one, there's a few different ones. They selling the gel ones for $15,... WTH.
Ebay gel cases, cheap as chips!
The gelli range of cases from case-mate seem to be good value.
I have seen them on sale for about £14.99...

Agree. They have very good comments in Amazon.
Personally I am not a great fan of bulky case so I like something lightweight and slim back cover and gives basic protection.
Ordering 2 of these plus postage is roughly $10 from NeTimes

Anyone try a Casewise?

Hi,
Like a lot of people i'm looking for a thin, leather portfolio case with a kickstand and access to the ports. I'm not sure how i feel about the zoogue, looks bulky. The Kevikev looks like poor quality and the camera seems to be blocked. I know it may get better with time, but i just do not want to worry about hoping for a product to get better.
I checked out the Navitech, but no one has tried it yet.
I saw on eBay there's these Casewise cases that look good. I was wondering if anyone has experience with them or if there's any apparent problems that you can see.
http://cgi.ebay.com/CaseWise-Leather-Case-Motorola-Xoom-US-seller-/130501098717#ht_2878wt_1139
My reservation with this case is the back where it has the little flap where you use it to create the stand. I'm worried after a lot of use it may just stick out all the time.
What do you guys think?

Meh. I have the same issues as you. I just want a nice thin folio style case that will function as a stand too. Not hard.
This one looks to be in the same vein as looks OK but not great. I don't like the hump thing on the back.

Exactly, how hard is it to get a decent thin portfolio case with a stand?
That one looks exactly like kevikev, except for the white stitch and cheap pu leather. I'd buy kevikev before this

Pure Gear Moto Atrix Shells

They offer several different ones, that look decent and aren't too expensive by any means. Just a heads up, for those of you who are looking for a new case. I'm probably going to order the fake leather one and the 'magnet gray' one as well.

I love how you linked the site while OP disguised his link
The leather one look cheap and tacky to me. These cases are nice but they don't seem to cover enough of the phone for me.
They look like the cheap (construction-wise) snap on cases. For $30, just get the Seidio Innocase. It's way better in my opinion.
Seidio Innocase II Surface - Black, Amazon
Black and other colors, Seidio Online
On Amazon I got it a week ago for $20, so maybe check a few times they drop the price every once in a while I think.
i got the same case that incipio made for $10 over at Fry's electronics

I didn't want this to be a comparison thread. I simply wanted to point out there are alternative cases out there on the market.
I'm really glad you pointed these out. I used to have a Barely There case on my old iPhone and these look pretty similar to that (I really liked it). I've been waiting for a case like this! Since Case Mate doesn't make any for the Atrix, I might get one of these. The colors aren't great, but I hate cases that snap together...
Thanks OP. Just ordered the magnet grey one. Will update when it arrives.

I'm ordering the grey one as soon as I get paid friday! I want overnight shipping, I don't care if I have to pay another 10 bucks to receive it, lol.
Yea.... they are quite nice looking. Not sure if i really wanna give up my TPU case though....
When either of you get yours.... mind posting some more pics? Would like to see what the inside of the case looks like, too.

Sure thing. I should have it tomorrow.
Just ordered the grey one, hopefully it arrives on Monday!
So can someone explain what exactly this case feels like? I don't REALLY get what a "rubberized satin finish" means... In the past I've used the case-mate barely there cases, which I like because they're not squishy or really rubbery and such. This pure gear case looks solid, but it says it's rubberized so I dunno.
And while I'm asking, what exactly is a TPU case (like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Amzer-Argyle-High-Gloss-Soft-Gel-Motorola/dp/B004L2L6JM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1304100403&sr=8-6)
Is it similar to the pure gear material?

Just got mine. First impression is this thing is nice! One of the thinnest cases/shells I've ever seen. Just went into our QA dept to use a caliper and it only measures .86mm or .034" thick. The texture feels almost exactly like my old G1 did. Doesn't feel like it's going to be a lint magnet either. The grey color is a bit lighter than I was expecting too but not too light. It fits OVER the existing battery cover and fits nice and snug. No give in any direction at all. Overall I like it it so far.
I'll post pictures tonight when I get home.

TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) is basically like a mix of a hard shell and a silicon cover. It's quite flexible, although not flimsy like a silicon cover.... and it's durable.... able to withstand quite a bit and still return to it's original shape. Actually recorded a video of me squeezing the crap out of one such TPU case that i got on eBay because of someone in another thread questioning the quality of the eBay cases.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=700ZNRtNEOA
As for "rubberized satin".... i believe it's basically a quite smooth yet soft feel.... not like a silicon, but not quite like a hard rubber case either. Hard to explain, really. If i had to guess, i'd say it might be similar to the Barely There case, but i'm not sure as i've never used either.
Here's some glamor shots of mine.
Hmm.... not too shabby looking. I may just order one.
edit: Just ordered the deep plum colored one. Only did ground shipping, as i didn't really feel like paying the same amount for shipping as i did for the case.... so it may be a little while.
Thanks for all the info guys! I always wondered what all these different types of plastic cases are. Thanks for the pics too, they inspire me to order one! Has anyone gotten the blue? How does it look in real life?

Folio simple leather cover

While searching ebay, I came across an interesting leather cover for the SGS2. It's a little costly but I like that it's sleek yet protects the phone from scratches. Just can't imagine how the thing stays on!
Folio simple leather case cover
Look good. I think they replace your battery cover, that's the only way they could stay on.
Right, that makes sense! Thanks!
Let us know how it goes. looks gd.
I'm still trying to do some research about which cover to get, and came across the Korean page.
Looks like the folio has some antibacterial properties!
I might "break the bank" *as regards the price for phone covers, and purchase one of these, can anyone give a review assuming someone has already purchased one of these.:
Quite like the look of it and the "idea" of it replacing the battery cover.
Shame I already bought a Zenus cover for mine :/
Let us know if you get it, would be good to know if it works well.
Haven't bought the case yet. I read that it has antibacterial properties, which made me re-think about it.
BTW, I came across another cool Korean leather case:

I'm looking for light-weight leather cases but am not sure which one to get at the moment! Any thoughts about this?

Best protective case?

I would get the otterbox defender but it does not look like it will be purchasable any time soon.
Having a kickstand would be a plus but.. the most important thing is if it can protect a phone from falls very well. I don't want a broken phone.
Edit: This looks like everything I want but I can't find a place to buy it.

I have heard a lot good about this.
Bought it myself, just no phone to test it in.
Diztronic TPU cases are also supposedly good, but probably not what you are looking for.
Might be too bulky but similar to the OP's request: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLK-BLUE-IM...316912?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a76262e70
Same one in black: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Kicks...018974?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item231e77bcde

That doesn't look like their Kraken case. Is is the case that you put under it and you upgrade or something?

That phone looks more like the Otterbox Commuter, no built in screen protector :/ I would really prefer that but I might go with that for a temp case.

The Kraken doesn't come out until at least the 15th of July. I am soooo waiting on it.
