Anyone try a Casewise? - Xoom Accessories

Hi,
Like a lot of people i'm looking for a thin, leather portfolio case with a kickstand and access to the ports. I'm not sure how i feel about the zoogue, looks bulky. The Kevikev looks like poor quality and the camera seems to be blocked. I know it may get better with time, but i just do not want to worry about hoping for a product to get better.
I checked out the Navitech, but no one has tried it yet.
I saw on eBay there's these Casewise cases that look good. I was wondering if anyone has experience with them or if there's any apparent problems that you can see.

My reservation with this case is the back where it has the little flap where you use it to create the stand. I'm worried after a lot of use it may just stick out all the time.
What do you guys think?

Meh. I have the same issues as you. I just want a nice thin folio style case that will function as a stand too. Not hard.
This one looks to be in the same vein as looks OK but not great. I don't like the hump thing on the back.

Exactly, how hard is it to get a decent thin portfolio case with a stand?

That one looks exactly like kevikev, except for the white stitch and cheap pu leather. I'd buy kevikev before this

They offer several different ones, that look decent and aren't too expensive by any means. Just a heads up, for those of you who are looking for a new case. I'm probably going to order the fake leather one and the 'magnet gray' one as well.

The leather one look cheap and tacky to me. These cases are nice but they don't seem to cover enough of the phone for me.
They look like the cheap (construction-wise) snap on cases. For $30, just get the Seidio Innocase. It's way better in my opinion.
Seidio Innocase II Surface - Black, Amazon
Black and other colors, Seidio Online
On Amazon I got it a week ago for $20, so maybe check a few times they drop the price every once in a while I think.
i got the same case that incipio made for $10 over at Fry's electronics

I didn't want this to be a comparison thread. I simply wanted to point out there are alternative cases out there on the market.
I'm really glad you pointed these out. I used to have a Barely There case on my old iPhone and these look pretty similar to that (I really liked it). I've been waiting for a case like this! Since Case Mate doesn't make any for the Atrix, I might get one of these. The colors aren't great, but I hate cases that snap together...
Thanks OP. Just ordered the magnet grey one. Will update when it arrives.

I'm ordering the grey one as soon as I get paid friday! I want overnight shipping, I don't care if I have to pay another 10 bucks to receive it, lol.
Yea.... they are quite nice looking. Not sure if i really wanna give up my TPU case though....
When either of you get yours.... mind posting some more pics? Would like to see what the inside of the case looks like, too.

Sure thing. I should have it tomorrow.
Just ordered the grey one, hopefully it arrives on Monday!
So can someone explain what exactly this case feels like? I don't REALLY get what a "rubberized satin finish" means... In the past I've used the case-mate barely there cases, which I like because they're not squishy or really rubbery and such. This pure gear case looks solid, but it says it's rubberized so I dunno.
And while I'm asking, what exactly is a TPU case (like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Amzer-Argyle-High-Gloss-Soft-Gel-Motorola/dp/B004L2L6JM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1304100403&sr=8-6)
Is it similar to the pure gear material?

Just got mine. First impression is this thing is nice! One of the thinnest cases/shells I've ever seen. Just went into our QA dept to use a caliper and it only measures .86mm or .034" thick. The texture feels almost exactly like my old G1 did. Doesn't feel like it's going to be a lint magnet either. The grey color is a bit lighter than I was expecting too but not too light. It fits OVER the existing battery cover and fits nice and snug. No give in any direction at all. Overall I like it it so far.
I'll post pictures tonight when I get home.

TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) is basically like a mix of a hard shell and a silicon cover. It's quite flexible, although not flimsy like a silicon cover.... and it's durable.... able to withstand quite a bit and still return to it's original shape. Actually recorded a video of me squeezing the crap out of one such TPU case that i got on eBay because of someone in another thread questioning the quality of the eBay cases.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=700ZNRtNEOA
As for "rubberized satin".... i believe it's basically a quite smooth yet soft feel.... not like a silicon, but not quite like a hard rubber case either. Hard to explain, really. If i had to guess, i'd say it might be similar to the Barely There case, but i'm not sure as i've never used either.
Here's some glamor shots of mine.
Hmm.... not too shabby looking. I may just order one.
edit: Just ordered the deep plum colored one. Only did ground shipping, as i didn't really feel like paying the same amount for shipping as i did for the case.... so it may be a little while.
Thanks for all the info guys! I always wondered what all these different types of plastic cases are. Thanks for the pics too, they inspire me to order one! Has anyone gotten the blue? How does it look in real life?

Just a Kickstand?? Pleeeasee

Anyone know a nice simple kickstand we can use for the Kindle Fire? I bought a leather case from Amazon for $25, but haven't grown much into liking the bulkiness it adds :/
This is the case I bought btw: (http://www.amazon.com/splash-SIGNAT...FSOQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323321993&sr=8-1)
Please tell me someone knows of a nice kickstand? I may even trade the case for it if interested.
My thoughts exactly, I purchased a Case-Mate for my Epic 4G Touch solely because it has a kickstand
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=08APJ1G512C5J00EFZHP
So I was looking for a case for the Kindle Fire that has a kickstand and decided to buy this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00656XUGY/ref=oh_o00_s01_i01_details
Landscape and portrait, I hope I don't think it's too bulky like you feel your case is, although they do look very similar
Elephant, do you have that white case?
//Tapatalk.KindleFire//
I don't have this, but it seems to be a much thinner option with a kickstand...http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Kindle...4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1323327074&sr=1-4 not sure if its what you had in mind.
Or a more literal answer to your question of "Just a kickstand" http://www.amazon.com/Compatible-kickStand-computer-aluminum-reinforced/dp/B005VCIARW/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1323327232&sr=1-1-catcorr Which is literally just a kickstand, seems impractical though.
That last pic you posted of the white stand is probably closest to what I have in mind, but it's ugly and bulky as hell! lol
If I could find something that looked just like an L and was lightweight and thin, I would be in heaven.

I have that case for my GSII. I'm guessing it won't work because it fits pretty close to the phone at least for me. I could be wrong though. I am planning on getting the one that looks like a controller at some point and I'll let you guys know as I have ordered the Nexus and the extended battery.
Keep us updated
I like the Audio Cassette tape one linked at the bottom. lol.
No way am I giving up my Ringke Slim after finally getting one for the LTE Extended battery.
If it was a TPU case I would definitely get it. I love the material on the Cruzer Lite cases.

Again, I am only speaking on behalf of my GSII which I just sold, but, it didn't feel like it gave me drop protection when I had this case on. If that's the reason you have a case you might want to look elsewhere. It didn't even cover the front chrome completely.
Edit: Although, everyone loved it! People would actually call my phone my gameboy and it was a great conversation piece. Probably the only case I've had on an Android that people with iPhones were jealous of.
I wonder if that would fit the LTE version as well?
This skin seems pretty cool actually

Holy **** I've been looking for a gameboy case! Good find
IMO it looks weird maybe if they stretched it on the whole case idunno
The Cola one looks sweet though

The biggest problem with these cases is that it looks like it covers the secondary noise cancelling mic. I might do something like this mod with a clear TPU case.

Can someone review this:

http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/Ult...Samsung-Galaxy-Nexus-I9250-I515-MHC-I9250-39/

Anyone have any experience with them?

For an inexpensive case I think its fine. The novelty of having a stylus is a bonus. There are other hybrids out there for less if you keep looking. This one while lacking the color you may be interested in, would be another option.

I have that case, the paint has already begun chipping off the edges of the grill and there is a crack by the charging port after about a month of use.
i have that style case. i like the bulged up corners which protects great in falls, and the lip is pretty good sized amount so if it falls face down it doesnt really scratch. i put it in my pocket and it doesnt slip off due to the hard case around the rubber. i do recommend it. i got this case to match my grabber blue mustang gt

Poetic Affinity Case Review

Got my Poetic Affinity Case in today and figured I'd write a quick review. These poetic cases are very similar to UAG in looks and design but for 1/3 of the price. They are single peice hard poly carbonate and very ridged. Overall a nice design with a clear back to show off the beauty of your aluminum backed phone, offer a nice lip around screen for medium drop protection. My only issue is that the buttons are a little stiff but I suspect they will break in over time. I'm satisfied with my purchase and feel like it was a really good deal at around $10. It plays well with my spigen crystal screen protector and offers a good grip and feel in hand. If you guys have any questions feel free to ask. Sorry for the quality of the pics all I has was an s3 to take them.
how is the grip on it?
I had the Spigen Bumper Premium and it was still too slick for me..
Right now i have this case.. Zizo armor.. Super grippy.. but had to modify the power opening.. plus it squares off the phone and doesn't really show the HTC Beauty..
i got a Poetic Affinity case, it's a PIA to take it off if you want to, after the second time i took it off never put it on again, using Orzly FlexiCase now

in all honesty the case looks and feels good, great grip, my 2 issues with it was the taking it off because its harder "plastic", and the other issue was that the case doesn't exactly fit on top of the back of the phone, so it gets a lot of dust under there and you're gonna want to clean it.
If you can manage to take it off better than i could i would recommend the case, makes the phone a lite more bulkier but shouldn't be a problem, it wasn't for me.
I just got the Spigen rugged armor today, it's really great too, using it now!
IMO:
Poetic: good protection and good looks, still showing off your metal
Spigen Armor: good protection and good looks, no metal show off
Orzly crystal: not as good protection (thinner) but still good, and very transparent
Sorry for mentioning other cases on this thread but those are the 3 i got and i can give my opinion on

well my case came today...
First Impressions:
Good:
1. Case feels premium.
2. Phone has great grip and texture.
3. Cutout for charger seems to be large enough for all my chargers, but will test more later.
4. Clear plastic is thick and doesn't have any tinting.
5. Cutouts for camera and speakers and mics seem perfect.
6. Buttons work great and have grip on them.
Bad:
1. Headphone cutout is small, should work for standard headphone plugs, but for a computer speaker plug in, it will not fit.. i may need to modify.
It will be interesting to see how the case does after a few days of testing... hopefully it will hold up as I really like the style and feel.
Thank you.
Shadows?
Came across this case the other day in my internet travels looking for something similar to my Supcase Unicorn Beetle Hybrid for my M8. The only case SC has for the 10 looks like a gawd damn brick. Ok for some, just not me. So, my question is, can anyone please confirm whether photos taken in this case cause any kind of blur, or shadow, from the cut out. I'm not talking about the known issues with lens flare here too, just to clarify. I've never owned a clear case but have heard of some that do cause a shadow (I am assuming a reflection from flash off the clear cut out).
Cheers.

Hey man, I was just about to purchase from Amazon, thought i'd read through some of the reviews and some people are advising where the camera cut out is, the case sits up off the phone a little (i.e. not flush with phone), allowing debris in through the cut out. Looks flush from your last pic. Is this true?? I really don't mean to sound pedantic want to make sure I'm happy with case before I pull the trigger cause there's none to be found in Oz and I don't want to have screw around with returns.

from what i can see, that does appear true... I haven't seen much dust and debris get in there.. however i have only had it on a few days. :silly:
I will say that a lot of people said they are a pain to get off.. however I can attest that mine is like any other case.. it does hold on well, but just peel back a corner and then work on another corner, it pops right out.. so should be easy to clean..
