This is a CWM package that contains 20 ringtones made using theme songs from classic cartoons, TV shows, movies, video games and the ringtones from the Classic Mobile Phone, the Nokia 3310,converted into .ogg format. Some files have been obtained through the internet as mp3 files others have been recorded by me from the source (example video game themes).
You may open the package to listen to the music files ( .ogg Opens in VLC Player )
You may also delete the music files that you don't want, before installing the package.
All the 20 files start with the letters 'aa' to keep the ringtones in a group.
It is the first time I am doing this.
So only for those who want to take risks.
Make a back-up.
If you have any problem after the first boot try rebooting.
If you want to delete the files from the phone, the system should be write-enabled. For this you may use an app like Damian Tweak from the market.
You would also need a system file explorer like Yaffs Explorer. If you are using Yaffs Explorer, go to its settings and enable root. The ringtones would be located in the folder /system/media/audio/ringtones/
Enjoy the ringtones .
NOTE: Make sure that you have enough space in the system before you install this.

Is this only applicable for SGS i9000 or other phones as well ?
Edit--
Can confirm this as working on Galaxy S II I9100 as well and yes, the ringtones are awesome!

I have not tried on any other phone.
You may try it if you want to .
Please reply if it works .
Make sure that your other ringtones are in the folder /system/media/audio/ringtones/ using a system file explorer.
Alternative method
- Find out where your ringtones are located.
- Download the zip package.
- extract the .ogg files
- copy the files to your sd card
- make sure that the system is write enabled
- copy the files from the sd card to the right folder
it works great on my SGS II. just flashed the file through CWM and voilà
Thanks for replying

i like that ringtones
Question
Why put short songs as ringtones on the phone can not be repeated? / (The only ring once heard) like these songs:
http://uplod.ir/x5p1kpumnq3t/Xylophone.mp3.htm
http://uplod.ir/pv89yjh39c5y/galaxy_s4.mp3.htm
Here is my first contribution to the XDA community...enjoy
So, I got annoyed at the stupid noise made when the ringer volume was adjusted so I made a script to create flashable zip's which change this sound.
Ready made ZIP files
These zip's should work on any ROM and any version. They can also be used along side other mods
Place the zip on the phone memory
Make a backup in recovery
Install the zip through recovery
Reboot!
This one is the sound a mac makes when it's volume is changed...my fave
Download
This is just a little click noise...
Download
This one makes it silent...
Download
If you have any ideas for new sounds let me know...or try making your own with the tool below and post a link to it in the comments!
Scripts for making your own
Here is a way for you to easily make your own zips with your own sounds in them. I've tried to make it nice and user friendly
You don't need to rename your sound file to anything special, and it will sign the zip too. It can also take you to a website to convert your sounds to the required AAC format Website is here
Before compiling the zip, you shoud first see if your AAC will play on your phone in the default music player. Some converters create AAC files which are unable to be played so will not work! The website I have linked for converting seems to work well
Unzip the download
Add your AAC sound of choice to the root of my folder (in with START.bat)
Double click START.bat and follow instructions
Flash the created zip
Download
Mac.aac <---- use this to test the script

Hello, today I've started to hack Camera.apk [XXLM8]
Basically I saw the hacked camera from Galaxy S2 in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104051 and now, by searching in forums, I'm trying to hack camera for W.
-----
Info:
- Better audio quality 192kbps/44.1Khz (CD Quality) (it was 63/16_44).
- Increased Video Bitrate from 12_10_8 to 20_15_10
- Allow use of camera at any battery life New!
Test it please...do a new video and compare it with an old video done with original apk, better if u record the same audio...let me know if there are problems or if u don't listen changes.
Download link: Camera.apk
How to install
- Download new Camera.apk
- Browse to /system/app and do a backup of your Camera.apk
- Put in /system/app the new Camera.apk and change permission if necessary
- Close the file manager and run Camera app Enjoy!
Info
Need root!
Attention! Me and xda-developers forum are not responsible if you brick your phone!!!

BTW, will this work in odexed (Stock) ROM??
Or does it have to be deodexed?? [there is also camera.odex in /system/app]
Believe or not, I still at Stock ROM!!!....
just cos it suits my purpose just fine!!!

I haven't test this mod yet. May I know whether the audio quality is changeable? If not, I would suggest keeping the original Camera.apk while make this Camera mod as another user app (since higher audio quality = higher MB consumed)

No, audio quality isn't changeable. Thanks for the suggestion, if it's possible to make it as another user app, I'll do it
Update: added higher video bitrate in 720p mode. In first post i add link to thread that motivated and helped me to understand how to do changes. U can see that to modify media profiles there are just a bit of hexdecimal codes to change and they works the same in some devices (i see these changes also in galaxy S, S+, etc), I hope my changes can make relevant improvement to video and audio quality.
I'd like to make some other mods to remove limitation when battery is low, or to can use power button to make photos...unfortunately the codes for these changes is little different, and for now it's difficult for my knowledges to do but I'll return on it when I'll find some ideas on how i can do it
Also I need to learn some other things, for example how to make cwm flashable zip
Added new version that allow usage at any battery life
The application could not be installed

Are you trying to install like a normal apps? Since it's a system app u can't, u have to to do like i write in the how to, just go in /system/app, rename the old camera.apk in camera.apk.bak (and camera.odex in camera.odex.bak if u are in odexed rom), than put the new camera.apk...now all is done, in app drawer tap on camera and it should works

Since u are in stock rom, u have to rename Camera.odex in Camera.odex.bak (this is just to don't lose the file if u want to return to stock apk), and also rename Camera.Apk in Camera.apk, to be sure it is like mine

hey guys iam verry happy with this DSP.Its the best DSP plugin what ever i used in my whole smartphone world and i am started by win mobile ^^
The sound is verry verry fantastic !Deep and smouth bass booster. Its so good when you listening old Alben without good dynamik, like a-ha or depeche mode.
The Treble was absolut clear an no aggressiv.
But for all power amp useres, make shure that you dont have "direct control" activate.so the DSP doesnt work !You can find it in settings-audio engine-advanced tweaks.
thanks and good night ;-)

Great app! Do these get backed up somehow during a rom update? I don't see a script in addon.d but I guess my own would work, as CarbonRom dropped the Omni Soundpacks feature so I made a backup script after applying the sounds manually. This app would save quite a bit of work if changing sounds now and again! Would it be possible to add the option to choose a zip on the user's device? I ask as I've downloaded some excellent soundpacks but adjusted the volume of certain sounds to my liking and re-zipped.

I have Note 3 SM-N9005 (hlte), running CarbonRom latest nighlty. It used to have the Soundpacks feature from Omni but they reverted it in favour of CM Theme engine soundpacks (even though there is no ui sounds in any theme yet!)
I have tested this app with my set up successfully. After being asked to allow a reboot, which I did, the chosen soundpack was working and when I chose to restore, I rebooted myself and it was back to normal.
*edit* I chose "stock and other"

Thanks for your reply. I think i need add reboot alert to the restore function to.
Chose sound pack from device:
Sound pack supported devices: there is no problem. There is a file (audio_assets) it define witch sound is for witch function.
Write direct to system: if i unzip a sound pack i can only use this sounds named right. ( camera_click, camera_focus, Effect_Tick etc)
else i got no sound from system. so i need alert an error like ( sound pack isnt supported )
What you think about this?

Sound pack supported devices: there is no problem. There is a file (audio_assets) it define witch sound is for witch function.
Write direct to system: if i unzip a sound pack i can only use this sounds named right. ( camera_click, camera_focus, Effect_Tick etc)
else i got no sound from system. so i need alert an error like ( sound pack isnt supported )
What you think about this?

Yes, I understand they have to have the same name as in the rom's ui folder or have the audio_assets file. I guess whichever method is most user friendly! I'm just an enthusiast myself but have learned a lot about modifying my devices from xda, not all users will have the same level of understanding so whatever you feel is the easiest for the user, I guess. Loving your work so far, thanks!

I've tried installing a soundpack to system but it doesn't make any difference to the system sounds. I get this message:
I've tried with option for Stock/Other, CM and Slimrom. Any idea why? I made sure the files have the same names as the original ones in system.

Oh i see. So i try it out. But forget to check if the files ar copied. I think i know the error in my script. I fix it in few hours.
Sryy for this bugy update.
So what you think about the design and user interface. Is it easy to understand?

No worries, it worked fine for the soundpacks within the app. UI is excellent, nice and simple. The only error I noticed was "Chosoe Soundpack" instead of "Choose Soundpack". Other than that, it's perfect and seems like an excellent way to bring soundpacks to roms that don't have it!

Thanks for those informatio. So i need & do fix the bugs asap.
