Pardon if this is a dumb question, but I think I came across a post somewhere saying the Tiamat 3.3.7 SBC kernel can only be used on Android 2.3.3. Is this correct? If so, I wouldn't be able to use it on the new Miui rom that's 2.3.4 would I? Thanks for the help!
The Tiamet kernels, as far as I know, are for AOPS ROMS, which is what MIUI is. Sense is not AOSP.
I think you misunderstood my post. The new Miui 1.7.15 is running Android version 2.3.4. I just want to know whether the Tiamat 3.3.7 kernel is compatible with this Android version, as I heard it's only for AOSP roms 2.3.3 and below...

Hello everyone!
(First post yay )
I haven't seen any other threads like this around so it's ok to post right?
Does anyone know of any Stock/Pure/Clean/Fast 2.3 Gingerbread rom for the HTC Desire? I know of Oxygen and suck but they have their own boot animation and have customized stuff. Others I have found are outdated versions. (i.e. 2.3.4) A stock rom with 2.3.7 would be nice. Any advice?
Thanks heaps!

Stock Rom with 2.3.7 Does not exist yet. Latest Stock (if you mean from HTC) is 2.3.5 with Sense 3/3.5.
Currently Oxygen and CyanogenMod 7 (and GingerVillain) has 2.3.7 - Miui is 2.3.5.
However major update in the 2.3.7 - is you can pay with Google wallet (and of course various fixes).

Thank you for your reply! Is there any stock (no sense, mods, ect.. just vanilla) 2.3.5 ROM? Thanks again! Not oxygen because it has some mods. I would like NO mods att all, or alternatively a ROM exactly how it is on the nexus s.
Theres a symantics issue here as stock (as in from factory) has HTC Sense, so what you actually mean is Vanilla.
Try devNull by oxygen.
Does anyone know where I can get a Basic ROM based on 2.3.7?
There is no base 2.3.7 rom for the evo. 2.3.3 is the latest official rom. 2.3.7 only added google wallet support for the Nexus S, thats it.

I am a new very n00bish dev and have done 2 projects so far and I want a Rom that's basic for working on.
if 2.3.3 isn't that different it would work
Decks 1.3 stable lee kernal and car o dope tweak last rom you'll ever flash
What all gingerbread kernels worked with the GB MIUI? Thanks.
just the kernel that comes with it.
Using swipers miui 2.3.2 b1 es which is android 2.3.7. I prefer this to ICS because at the moment I need a stable rom that doesn't need a charge 2x a day.
Anyways questions is if anyone know of a good SBC kernel that would work well with this rom. Tried underworld but it didn't play nice. Cause its geared towards sense I guess? Idk. Mason was nice on ics and I don't believe swipers builds are HWA. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
If you're on gingerbread, I recommend Tiamat 3.3.7 or 4.10, or a Mason G kernel.
some phone's kernal is 3.0 and some phone is 2.6.35 , what is the different?
Sorry for my english...

As far as I know, Kernel is the bridge between Hardware and OS.
Why there are different version of kernels? I think it is because of Android versioning too, Kernel 2.6.35 is for ICS, and Kernel 3.0 is for Jellybean. And of course, new version of kernel do have improvements over the old one
Sent from my Modded Stock DXLA2 (Didn't have the mood to update)
our cm9 is running with 2.6.35.7 kernal but many android 4.0 phone running with 3.0 kernal , is it effect the performance?

Hello weihan1102.
Yes it is, but not very noticeable
Kernel usually affect on battery usage, wifi signals, etc... But still, it's not noticeable, unless the kernel you are using have something wrong with them
