nop is ##3242# i wanna flash my phone to cricket

bump!!
bump.......
IM sorry i had to do it

Are you rooted? Because the stock 2.3.3 has a weird, more restrictive EPST.
If you are rooted, flash a 2.2 ROM
or one with an older EPST. If not... I've never flashed a phone to another carrier, but what all do you need for activation?

Ok, so I have a samsung captivate, and with the captivate i do not have to root to flash recovery and then a custom ROM.
But, my friend has an EVO and wants a ROM. Only problem is he's running 2.2, which as I've read hasn't been rooted for evo yet.
So, can I bypass needing root by simply flashing recovery and flashing custom ROM?
Regards
Smith

Unrooting evo

Right now I an running stock 2.2 Tom rooted. I can't get over the air updates and was wondering if I unrooted with an ruu and turned the security on my phone on if it would then be able to receive OTA updates. Answers are greatly appreciated.
I meant stock 2.2 rom not Tom.

Still kind of up in the air as to what's going on. It is locked, without a doubt. I personally believe they will push out an update or a way to unlock it. Like they said they would. I just think they already had it together before it got pushed out.

HTC EVO 4g Gingerbread HELP!!!

Ok so I updated my phone to 2.3.3. Now can I still root it without loosing anything including the stock ROM?
If there is a root method that works for 2.3.3, then yes. Check the unrevoked website and other root related sites and see if it is possible.

No root method for 2.3.3 yet. If you're s on, you're out of luck until a new exploit is discovered.

If he's on the newest update which would give him hboot 2.18 , htcdev.com is what u would need to unlock it
