This has the rom download and kernels and what not... Not sure if that's what would be needed to get this done...

seems like a need a palm pre to get to the webOS files, is there a way for anyone to pull the system files from their webOS device using debugger mode or something similar to android's way of pulling the system.

you should be able to download WebOS Doctor... it has everything needed to totally wipe the device and reinstall everything fresh... so it would have all the system files in it.
you should be able to find it somewhere other than palms site. on palms page you need to put in your phones serial to download it.
if you end up needing it, i would be happy to download it and host it so you can grab it quick. (wife has a pre plus).
the newest version is 1.4.5.
Hey, found a link for the latest WebOS doctor that camalus was talking about, direct download link for the file is http://palm.cdnetworks.net/rom/pre/...1351rod/webosdoctorp101ewwverizonwireless.jar
and link to the Webos doctor site that hosts all doctor files for all WebOS devices is
http://www.webos-internals.org/wiki/Webos_Doctor_Versions#Pre_Plus_3
..................hopefully that should be enough to get started!!
Wow this would be amazing. I'm sure alot of people would love this! ID is the man for the job

I had a Pre Plus for a while and my biggest beef, besides crappy hardware, was the lack of apps.
One of the advantages over Android...an awesome Facebook app worth of praise. They did a good job.

Hey ID I had a Palm Pre Plus for like 29 before I got my Dinc. I loved the card UI, you can have like 50 things going on at once. Phone would get hot and battery would go but it was a nice OS. The Acer test video you made reminded me of it a little.

control my computer with my WP7 device?

I want to know if there is an application that is out there(or in production) that can be used to control my desktop. I would love to be able to just use my television as a monitor for my laptop. Please and thank you, sorry if this is the wrong section.

i thinks it's too early, there might be some in dev and of course big assumption is if this is allowed by MS.
I don't think there are any at the moment but I bet there will be a few in the next few months to a year.

I hope, so far dev support looks extremely promising, I just hope the update improves the lag I see in apps. Back on topic(I drift off too much) was there such a thing on WM? If so there could be a possibility one of the thousand devs were the ones who made that app and might port it.

CM9 MAY include Cornerstone multitasking

The title says it all. Rumor is CM9 MAY include Cornerstone multitasking, which basically lets you view multiple apps on one screen! I think this is a really cool idea and would love to see it! Thoughts?

This
LTE EX Galaxy Nexus - 4.0.3 AOSP
Asus Transformer - Revolver OC/UV
Agreed, it won't be an every day use on GN. But at 4.7" I think I can squeeze two every now and then if it serves a purpose, like a copy/paste or replying to one thing while looking at another scenario.. For sure will be useful on tablets. Kind of reminds me of the video app "Stick It!", which is a cool app and worth checking out.
Pretty neat. but not for me. Hopefully its an option. But definetly best for a tab.

That's awesome news. my old Nokia n900 multi tasked in a similar way. It wasn't as elegant as corner stone though. n I just couldn't enjoy it. I personally enjoy the ics style. Reminds me of webos
I want this............
Nice, while probably not practical for phone use, would be EXTREMELY useful on MHL output?
imagine linked to your TV and having skype and say the browser open? or iplayer and Skype?
this has some pretty useful features.
Looks great! Like other posters have said, i want this for my tablet over my phone. None the less, thanks for sharing OP!
Dianne Hackborn seems to be agaisnt this. But hes alright with carriers and OEMs modifying the framework but not CM.
Main reason? incompability that will make people give apps bad reviews but they didnt work with the modifty framework

People will always give bad ratings for silly things. It's not the app, it's the concept that people don't understand.
Android is open source. People are entitled to do whatever they want, but there are consequences and cons for everything.

I have also posted this here and have had no replies. I just don't think that any Devs are interested in this tablet. That is sad because with some development this could be a fairly nice tablet. It is the cheapest of the lot of tab 3, 7 inch tablets by Samsung so it is the most popular to people who can't afford to get a premium one. I really wish that I had just left this one at best buy and picked up another Amazon fire HD. That tablet cost me $35.00 and there is more development going on with it. I will probably use this one now for trying out building and modding myself. If I ruin it that won't upset me as right now I just don't use it. Touchwiz should have never gone on this thing as it just can't handle it.
