Question about non sense roms

So I have been searching but not to well of course. I saw a post about how to stop the voice mail notification on the top bar. if you could point me in the right direction that would be great

Did you try setting up VM, I did that and it went away...
Not to hijack but I dont want to post a new thread.
My questions is : I cannot find a ROM that is AOSP Eclaire. Am I missing something or are the froyo roms the only ones AOSP for now?

Non sense ROMS. I want a ROM with no hint of SENSE. I dont even want to be told they are hidden or uninstalled and put in a folder...

Tried setting it up a few times but it did not work. as of right now they are all hidden. the phone is still way to new i think

[Q] HTC IME (Stock) for CM6

I've searched up and down and installed a myriad of APK's. Every stock HTC IME (meaning arrow keys) force closes on CM6 for me. I use the stock arrow keys all the time (bash terminal, RDP) and "need" them on my keyboard. Has any one had any success at all install the stock keyboard on CM6?

I would like to have this too. Anyone???

yes i found one i am using for CM6 right now. I think i deleated the file i will look and add it later if i find it.. IT was HI RES HTC IME seach for that
Im not sure what the otehr files in the zip do just install the IME.apk

should be HTC_IME_hi22.apk and Clicker_hi.apk (which i think is the settings or something)
i ran that file and then added this cyan color scheme on top of it
if you want the "lower keyboard" button you have to disable smiles in the settings

I still get force closes with any of these apk files. Anyone have better luck?

CM6 is non-sense. if you want sense, flash a sense rom

Flash one of the new DesireHD ports. You will no longer need the arrow, since it has that iPhone like feature where when you drag your finger through a text field, it magnifies your current spot.
Just a suggestion...not a good one though because you lose Camera, 4G and HDMI stuff...

I don't think it exists. At least, if it does, nobody is paying close enough attention to the question, because all of the IME mods I've been told to try lack the arrow keys. The closest thing was Swype, since it has arrow keys.

I don't think anyone here was asking for a sense rom. They were asking for a feature of a sense rom on cm6.

I'd love to see this too, what keeps the stock one from being ported over?
Is sense really that embedded in every little thing htc puts out?
It would be awesome if the arrows could be made to take up a little less space as well... this seems to be the only complaint I have heard about them anywhere.
Devs? Some of you have to appreciate the added benefit the arrows offer.

Hey guys this is the Desire hd/HTC Ace ginger bread leak Port, so far the only difference between this rom, and the hushan leak is the app drawer, you can see the difference in the screenshots. And it also has like 2 or 3 diferent widgets/apps. Anyways lets get to whats working and whats not. Btw People tell me this rom is quite Fast.

You dont have to wipe data if your already on v1.20, if you come from another rom then yes you need to wipe data.

Known Issue:
When you long press at home screen rosie might crash, it happens at random, don't worry it still works fine just try again.
When selecting the htc default theme rosie will crash do to the live wallpaper that theme/skin uses is broken, rest work fine

ye i was reluctant to release it, since its basically sense ginger from homersp(the differences are in the introduction), plus i had some issues with someone over at the glacier dev section. but now hes banned, so i decided to repost my ports over at xda again. this rom has been out for 2 days now.

Why is Homersp banned? What is with this place, used to be the one stop shop for ROMs, but they keep banning people.

i agree with you haha. im flashing different roms every day!

when changing the settings for UPDATES for sense, etc...it just reverts back to 1 hour.
also is it possible to change mms size to 3000 like on virtuous?

Is it safe to assume that the virtuous kernels will not work on this?

this is the second sense that ive flashed today and i would say that this is the #bawse of them all. What really sold me hands down was the noti curtain. recent apps AND quick settings? not to mention the diff widgets that ive not seen on other sense roms. like the flip clock with friends update instead of weather and the other new ones i havent seen yet. 0_o found my new daily driver !

Flashed over homersp's rom with no problems. Nice work

Really liking this ROM, great job!
Few things to report...
GPS works great (tested using GPS Test from market)
Shutter sound on camera is still on even when not checked
Had to restore my apns and reboot to get data going.

using custom icons?

Just trying to figure out how to use custom icon packs? and where to get them?
Ive never really done much in the way of customising my phone, and just installed Go launcher EX..
Managed to get a nice black and white thing going but obviously all the icons are the standard sgs2 ones. so what would be the easiest way to replace them?

Didnt realize you had to alter each icon 1 at a time linking each 1 to the one you want it to replace though... was kinda hoping just to download a pack,, install it and it would auto replace all the relevant icons., heh

You can, with adw launcher (ex) and corresponding iconpacks..

There soooo many icons about on xda and just google searching ..

I have been trying all day and still not able to get the downanimation to work.
EDIT: this guy claims to have the process to make it work, although I have tried and am still not able to get my downanimation to work.

its generally just one edit in bools.xml in the framework-res (at least it is on other phones)

Yea this is really unfortunately HTC left off the Gingerbread lock screen animation. It's my favorite thing about Gingerbread besides the performance tweaks (smooth scrolling).
What they SHOULD have done under "Skins" is have a pure Gingerbread skin that includes this animation, that would have been excellent.

There doesn't seem to be any known way to enable this either

well the normal edit doesnt work
its been done on the tbolt (havent checked over dinc2 sense roms) might need sense 3.0 though...i havent really spent much time looking though
