Hello everybody,
I have three annoying problems with my camera.
First :
Sometimes, when I take a photograph, the phone loads the gallery just after and don't save the shot which I just take.
Second :
Sometimes, the picture is wrong.
I mean : When I take a photograph, in preview, the picture is good, but when I go to the gallery, the picture has a problem.
I can't describe it in English, but I have a example of the wrong picture here with.
Third :
When I am in the camera application, or in preview, the phone "block". I can't do nothing with it, only remove the battery for restart it...
I have the Runnymede AIO V6.0.4.3 ROM at the moment, but had this problem with old version of the ROM too.
I changed the radio yesterday to see if probems come from that, but it doesn't change anything.
Radio now : 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.08
Radio before : 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23

I have the "second" problem , too , but rarely.. and another one : i use Runny ROM and the camera effects don't work (like the one with points, distorsing,etc.). Is something wrong with the rom, or this works just with cm7r2... ?

i've heard of this issue before somewhere i think it's the roms issue
i had something like this on the htc dev rom occasionally when i took pics with the stock cam . do you get the same result with another rom eg non sense ?

I will try with a AOSP ROM, and try to found the problem in the ROM issues.

I had the same problem in the ROM ICS, but switched to back to GB and everything works the best.
If this is Runnymede, it probably re-install the ROM fix this problem.
BTW: I recommend you RUNNY ROM v5.0
I had the second problem after 2 months of InsertCoin 1.1.4.
I switched to RunnymedeMOD007 and that problem stopped.
Also my pictures where low quality and I cleaned the plastic in the back cover with a little toothpaste to remove some residue of the anti-reflection layer that wore of.
Maybe those residue in some light environments helped in the distortion of some pictures like the one you sent.

I have tried to uninstall the HTC camera and to reinstall it.
Uninstall was OK
But didn't reinstall...
So I download a other camera in the market, pugging camera, a bit slower but worked perfectelly.
This afternoon, I had installed the RunnyRom V5.5
So, I will now try with it.

I have all of those mentioned problems in first post. Stripe in the picture (I saw, that occurred just with zoom+), freezing phone after took the picture (this one is reaaaally annoying for me)... I had them in Runnymed AIO last 2-3 versions so I was thinking reinstall to RunnyRom will help me. But not... All mention reoccurred and new one is that after the picture is took, preview friezed, picture is not saved and only Home button works to go out from camera app. Did anyone solved this problem with camera? Why this happening?
Another problem a had with RannyMed AIO was that, phone randomly friezed and restarted. This occurred when browsing web, chatting on gTalk, using Sygic Aura navigation... really annoying... I thing this was caused by overheating, but I'm not sure... I have RunnyRom 6.1.1 just 2nd day, so for now happened just problem with camera...
Any suggestions?

I think, the ROM isn't supported anymore (or less upgarde), but have no problem with it.
Good rom for me, I wouldn't change for the moment
You should try resetting the standard value in your cams menu. This solves most of the freezing issues.

EDIT:
I tried reset to default settings in camera menu... than I choose "smart SnapShot", make a picture and camera friezed without saving pictur... I have had to stopped camera application by pushed the home button.

I'm also using this one. Before Runnymede... both same problems or similar problems with camera.

Recently I instilled RCMixHD 3.6.1. However today I came across a problem. I've had a look in the thread for it but doesn't seem like anyone else has had the issue. But the issue is that yesterday when I installed the ROM the camera was working fine. However come today it has changed to black and white only and no colours are shown. There seems to be a tv static like image around the camera preview to. Ant ideas on how I can resolve this?

Yes I have also tried Droidzones gingerburst ROM and Leedroid ROM. The camera has worked fine on both of them. Is there any certain libs I may need to replace?

I have a HTC One X - on 3 (1.28.771.9), i updated to the for-mentioned OTA, everything has worked fine for a day, then suddenly i've started experiencing screen 'flickers', especially on the home screen and 'multi-tasking', recent app screen. The flickers stop when i reduce my brightness... however, we all know we like to show off the amazing screen
Can ANYONE help me... i'm really angry about this because, i've only had my phone a few days :/ please don't tell me it's a hardware issue :/ ah!

Is there a 1.28.771.11 update out for you? This update should solve the flickering ... you can also try a custom rom with this base ... but it takes about 2 weeks after this update to settle the frequencies and the screenflicker is gone

Firstly, i have no OTA update for that mentioned update and i've played with roms before and messed it up, A LOT. So it's for certain a software problem? I'm relieved to hear that!

Closely follow the steps in Rom flashing and u really shouldn't mess the one x up. Give it a try, roms are always the way to go for android Lol

you could always flash the latest RUU - no rooting etc required and update .11 fixes the issues mentioned

I've purchased a a Samsung Galaxy 551 (I5510) (Middle east region) about a year ago and i was running android 2.2 fine for a while. When the Gingerbread 2.3 update came out i tried installing a European ROM because the ME ROMs weren't updated, it worked fine but had a weird glitch that if the screen was off (phone still working) for a while it would be very dark when turned on afterwards, it looked like this video:

P.S. I didn't make the video, just linking it because its the same issue
it would randomly work again after a couple of lock-screen off-unlock cycles, then happen again randomly when it's off
I tried a number of GB Roms but to no avail, then finally the latest eu roms (I5510XWKPJ) fixed the problem, nowhere to be seen anymore.
After that i tried installing Cyanogen mod for the phone and the problem came back with different degrees:
1. Cyanogen 7 - normal boot, screen gets dark after being off for a while.
2. Cyanogen 9,10 - show samsung logo at start, screen gets dark as soon as the cyanogen logo appears and continues to be
Any help on what would be causing that especially on the newer CM builds? and why it doesn't happen at all in (I5510XWKPJ)

I am looking for a solution to a problem, which I am facing with my HTC Wildfire A3333, after installing a custom ROM of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the ROM is called "Cyanogenmod 7 (Stable version)".
The problem is that sometimes the phone does not produce any type of sound, whether phone ringtones, notification sounds, or media player audio playback. This happens almost suddenly after a period of some hours of phone usage.
Is there any type of a bug in this ROM or anything else, and is there any valid and working solution to this problem? If there is, then kindly guide me please, Thanks in Advance...

If you reboot does the problem resolve itself? Also have you tried to flash the latest nightly build?
