Okay... Here we go.
I flashed EF02 a couple days ago. It was hella slow so I tried to downgrade back to EC05. Everything was fine until I tried to flash any EC05 ROM. Every time the phone would reboot when the flash was successful, my Epic would get stuck at the Samsungmobile.com screen.
So has anyone experienced this know how to fix this?
Thanks for any responses.

Did you try flashing the ROM and then immediately a kernel after then rebooting?

So, i rooted using one click root 2.5.x and i have cwm 2.5.1.0 and i flashed the deodex tool which worked, then i flashed the 6 lockscreen mod, which worked, so i then tried to advanced restore my backup that i had made as soon as i rooted, and now i cant get past the samsungmobile boot screen. I tried, wiping data/factory reset in cwm, clearing all kinds of caches, reflashing the deodexing tool, and nothing works. anything i can do besides odin?
Try to flash the rerfs rom see if that works it puts the stock rom with clockworkmod 2.xx

+1, see why you should of did this along time ago, you would know what you were doing by now j/k, I know you won't take offence to that... Sometimes if it gets stuck at sammy screen you can try re-installing which ever ROM you were trying to install, I seen this maybe 10 out of the over 500 flashes, no BS... It can happen for a couple reasons...

So you rooted...and then went nuts throwing everything on your phone you can get your hands on...LOL.
You could also have tried reflashing your ROM or did uou just do a kernel?
Thanks for all yhe suggestiond guys, i will try them later. and i didnt throw a bunch of stuff at it, just what i needed for the lockscreen mod.

I haven't had a reboot since the kernel release before EI22 released. Try Odining back to EC05 and accept all the OTAs.

Thanks Ill give his kernel a try
I haven't had any reboots that I've noticed. Even on EI22 I only got a few lockups or reboots, and it always seemed it happened when I was downloading data and tried to switch networks (usually 3G to WiFi).

My 4G works great too. In Daytona, we had 4G a week after the Epic release. They have expanded the coverage in the area as well. No reboots at all since the source kernel was released.

OK my epics softkeys stopped working out of no where. When I bring the phone out of sleep they turn on but stay on. Usually they will turn off if its not touched. They will not respond to touch at all. I have no clue what to do at all.
Yes I have odined back to stock 4 times now. Nothing.
I had this problem awhile back it fixed itself so odd how.
Does anyone know a way to fix this? Things I could try? I cant take it to sprint as I dont have service with them anymore lol..
Thanks everyone.
Btw Im on ICS beta0 stock kernal
So the problem still persisted after returning back to stock? Then you may want to bring it in for a service check.

What were you running before? I'd try flashing kernel cleanser and TDJ's Superwipe from CWM before installing it, that might help.

Hey guys, I need some help,
I have been using CleanGB v1.1.2 for a long time. Recently, I've been having a huge problem. Whenever I use ANY ROM, after about ten to twenty minutes, my phone just becomes *slow* as molasses. It's unnerving. It could be at the bootloader screen... it could be in the ROM itself... but if I'm using ANYthing but the stock ROM with everything unrooted, the phone just goes slow-as-*&#^-as-*&&& and I have to pull the battery out after ten to twenty minutes.
Any ideas?
My ROMs aren't corrupted. I've tested them all and I've tried installing and rooting from different computers with the same problem. I have tried CleanGB v.1.1.2 and People's 2.2.1 and Thunderhawk 5.1. All have the same problem after ten to twenty minutes.
EDIT - I should add that I have rooted (even as of today) other people's Epic 4Gs and none of them have had the same issue as mine, so I know there's something going on with my phone, in particular.
The only thing I can think may be doing this is that I use the CWM flash + the FC09 rom method to root my phone. Maybe I should be rooting it using Odin as I used to do back in the day.
When I go back *from* the root to the unroot, I always re-partition and time reset in Odin with a stock ROM. No problems after that.
Hoppingfully yours,

Sadie, I root by odining cwm with auto reboot unchecked, pop battery out and in, 3 finger to cwm and flash ROM of choice. It definitely sounds like a strange issue.

Hey KG,
Yeah, I think I need to go back to performing the rooting procedure from ODIN. I just can't seem to find the links to that online. God, I've turned into an ultra-n00b again.
What do *you* think is the best way to root using ODIN? I think the problem is that I've been rooting using the easier, flash-to-CWM in Odin and then flash the rooted ROM from CWM. I think I need to do it all from ODIN and repartition at that level.
Epic Touch or S3 here I come! LOL!

This sounds like a rogue app sucking up your memory. Does it happen on stock with all your apps restored?
It happens with every Rom I use. When I flash my phone back to stock the problem goes away.

Is it happening with your new phone as well? I recommended flash the rom of your choice do not install any apps for a day or two. If all is fine install one app a day till you find which app. My guess would be a app that you use that needs root because it doesn't happen on stock. Just my 2 cents.
