Anybody else having an issue with FB wiggin out? When I open it, it constantly refreshes and is unusable. I have tried clearing cache and force closing.

Nope mine is running great. I'm running 1.6.0
I use to have that problem before. I don't remember exactly how I fixed it ( might have uninstalled then re-installed) but I wiped the Rom I was using and flashed a new one and it worked like a charm.
Sent from my beast
It's a known bug in 1.6.0. Check the comments in the market. Every other comment is about this.

I did have this problem yesterday/today. I tried to uninstall then reinstall and it wouldnt reinstall I had to get the .apk file that worked. I think it was something in the ROM went wacky since several things are not working now - I have to do a wipe /reflash. Not sure why this happened out of the blue.
Use friend caster pro in the market

Mine did too. I downgraded to a backup I had of 1.5.4. That, along with the stupid Top News thing, I couldn't handle it. I can't stand the Top News, it's pointless, and all it does is show you posts from days ago. And there is no way to default the app to Most Recent, so every single time the app opens I have to change it to Most Recent.

Something has started happening in the last few days. I will be in an app, say messaging, and when I hit the home button it prompts me, asking which launcher I want to use. I'll choose LP as my default and then select it, only to have the prompt again sometime later on in the day. I've cleared out the defaults under application management, I've also uninstalled LP and re-installed, but nothing seems to work. I am currently using 6.7.3.
I am using DC 3.2.3 with the netarchy 3.7.2a DC kernel.

Having the same problem. What if we like using Qik lol
I did update Qik the other day, which is probably when this happened. Will post if this fixes it.

Than maybe use fring it just got an update sadly still no skype I'm sure qik will fix it soon enough
I noticed this the other day too. I thought it was because I had upgraded to Launcher Pro Plus, but never thought that Qik might be the culprit.
I just uninstalled Qik and haven't yet seen the selection box again.
also got the issue, but it solved itself after reinstalling LauncherPro - didn't even bother reinstalling qik
I'm having this same issue, but if I select launcherpro, it keeps force closing, right after I click force close it automatically fc again. If I'm quick I can hit htc sense in between fc boxes. I also just updated qik when I had noticed this. I'm running fresh 1.0.1, which had launcher pro as the stock launcher. Can I reinstall launcherpro without any problems to the rom?

Same here too
Yeah, if you read the comments you'll see a lot of complaints about it. They say its Google's fault, but no other apps are having this issue.
I will post it on my dropbox so all can download if anyone wants it

Might be just a Market network issue, but a lot of the time when this happens to me, I force stop the Market, clear cache and reboot. That usually fixes it for me. Sometimes I think its just the app or the market and you just have to try again later.

I've had issues with hanging downloads from the market, but after 10 minutes or so they download. Some go immediately, as they should, but some seem to hang up.

Try appbrain app market
I had this issue with the new gmail app so i just used appbrain app market and searched for it and downloaded it from there and installed it.
Any time a download hangs, I wait a few minutes and if it still doesn't start I just reboot. The majority of the time this fixes it

Yup....I though the same thing, and all of a sudden, they changed the version on the market and it downloaded just fine. Originally, they released 1.0 and the version now is 1.0.0.1, so I think it was their issue. You guys should be able to download this now without a problem......I just did.
When apps don't download/install properly I go into the sd card under /download and the .apk is usually there. Deleting it and re-downloading or installing from the apk works for me.
updated qik and now it won't open. Force closes every time. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still force closes. Tried using the older version and it wont let me. Is there a work-around for this issue? I'm on stock 2.2

Go to Settings>applications>manage applications>all then scroll to Qik, click on it and clear data and cache if possible.
There are also two Qiks available to Epic users on the Market.
cleared all the data. didnt help. uninstalled updates because it doesnt allow me to delete the app and reinstalled the updates through the program as this was the only option upon signing in. still failing

Uninstall the update first, remove the system qik.apk (many diffrent ways), use sdxappremover for this, then install one of the 2 in the market, same apps.

My Contacts application is suddenly force closing every time I want to activate it. I think it is fc-ing after the new WhatsApp update. When I checked my contacts within Whatsapp, it suddenly fc-ed. And from now on it is fc-ing all the time.
Allready removed the app, data, (dalvik) cache. I even installed a new rom (which I wanted to do anyway ). But then again, after restoring everything with TBP: Force Close.
What do you guys suggest I can do? It is now becoming quite annoying.
Run fix permissions. That fixes a lot of FC

Already done that. Didn't help either.

Didn't you install app with contacts sync lately?
what about clearing data on contacts and people and then resync to grab them back?
Last thing I remember is that I've installed the new update from Whatsapp and that is when it crashed. I already did uninstall WhatsApp, but still a FC. Already wiped all my data from contacts. Seems like everything I tried, failed.
Also delete all data from Contacts.apk.
Okay finally I found the problem. Google+ and the contacts of the app seems to cause the force colsing. Uninstalled Google+ (since I'm not really using it) and everything works fine!

Has anyone experienced this before with the Facebook app? Something's throwing it for a loop! It only seemed to start with the latest app update. However, I am also using TeslaUnread with Nova Prime (I also use Pushbullet, but disabled the notification push for Facebook). Guess that's a place to start, disabling Tesla for Facebook and see where that takes me. The investigation continues, but I thought I'd post here to see if anyone else has seen this before with a similar config.

Use Greenify
Yep greenify
Thanks guys, will look into that.
Go into app settings in Facebook and disable sync and refresh time to never. That slows Facebook battery drain. Good luck

Yes, saw that one day. It was surprising just how bad it was. I uninstalled Facebook, reset, and reinstalled later. It's been fine since, but the problem may recur (I don't know why it happened in the first place).
Sent from my SM-N910V using XDA Premium HD app
I went ahead and set the app to never auto-refresh (looks like it doesn't affect the notifications, so that's good), since I don't need my news feed updating every hour when I can just do that when I go into the app. I've been just closing the app completely every time I'm done using it for the past few days, but I think I'll give it another go letting it run in the background, and see how it does. I did notice a couple other people mentioned bad Note 4 battery on the latest reviews in the Play Store.
