I uninstalled my downloaded skins and reinstalled them but they still won't show up, and to add insult to injury pdaNet is no longer working for me. I'm starting to wish I had rooted instead, now I can only wait until some one puts out a root for DI2 GB. :/
Ya, I've tried reinstalling them and still nothing...

The new ota update is sense 2.1 not 2.0 like we had. Search forums for those and download. Idk why theyre different but they are
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA App
Good to go, ill try that.

I'm having the same issue. I'm on the GB OTA update, and non of the Sense 2.1 skins are working for me no matter what I did.
Search for the thunderbolt GB skins , they work

TB themes ARE indeed working. I've been using ADW EX to deal with this issue, but it's back to Sense for me.

your reply made me think this was some sort of prank download to see if people would actually install it...
but i went ahead and did anyway.
Will I still get this if rooted. I would rather not install an apk when it comes to the market.

well it works fine, although i really hate the new layout.
it also bothers me that it now shows results for movies and books. (wtf!??!)
with the new one is it possible to go back to the old one?
It is possible. I just did it. Go to manage Apps. Find market and hit uninstall. It will remove the update. I liked it but it wouldnt show all of my Apps in the my Apps section.

Thats strange...it worked for me. You are running Gingerbread, right?
Yeah I did the OTA last week to gingerbread. So is that the same link you used then? If not, could you share your link or apk?

To OP - why don't you want to root? Just wondering.. I've rooted and using cm7 right now and skype works pretty nicely on it. I installed google tall update but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

There is a way to install the video chat capable version of talk on 2.3.3, but you need root
Do a search in the android market place for talk 1.3 and it should be the second item found.
Its called:
[root] Talk 1.3 Installer by BRAINWASH STUDIO
I tried it last night and it works well

To be honest I'm new to the android world and I am fine with what I have. I like the feel of Sense, and from what I hear there isnt any ROM that has Sense and works very well.
Plus once you root, isnt it pretty hard to go back to stock?

There are two roms that I know of that are exactly the same as the stock gingerbread with sense and one that is stock froyo, im running the gingerbread one, same as over the air update, minus some Verizon crap u can put back on if u wish, and I can do so much more with root, and I'm having zero issues or problems.

Has anyone made a sense 3.0 camera app for an unrooted evo? I searched only saw for rooted phones. Is there one out there for unrooted phones or is it not possible?
TommyTomatoe made one that installs to /data like any apk. Its near the end of the thread about the sense 3.0 camera. I can upload to dropbox if you can't find it.
I recently used a sense 1.0 ROM for just a minute, and if I remember right, it wouldn't show up in app drawer no matter how I tried to install it. I think sense 1.0 may not have proper framework for it. So root isn't the issue, but sense version may be (which you can only change with root)

-thanks in advance -_-

Go to www.beta.swype.com and register as a beta user. That's all you need to do.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Swype works fine on Gingerbread, its what I use.
If the Swype APK is pulled from another ROM, it might be the wrong version, and not compatible with GB. Easiest way to get Swype is to just sign up at the Swype beta website like the previous response stated. Then it will send the installer to your phone, which will install Swype, and you will be good to go.
Tanks guys worked great although it took a while for the email to come

I have downloaded Jelly Bean 4 for HTC Incredible to test it out. I have noticed that some apps from the market will not download. One app is XDA. When it downloads then tries to install it says "couldn't install on usb storage or sd card". Any help would be great. I would ask the developer but xda will not allow me to post on the thread which sucks too.
It's an alpha version. Expect a lot of stuff to not work yet. You are better off waiting for them to develop it further.

What I did was go into the system settings and then storage, unmount your SD card and then install XDA. After installation go back in and remount the SD card. It worked for me. I am assuming it will work for any other apps you are not able to install
Unmounting the SD worked for me. Thank you.

One thing I noticed is that I am having problems downloading ROMs from XDA using Chrome or the stock browser. I am going to download and install Alpha 5 and GAPPS and see how they work. More to come. I am trying to post as much as possible to be able to post in other test spots too.
Any idea what's different in Alpha 5? No changelog was posted.

Hey Albinoman, I just flashed alpha 4 yesterday and alpha 5 this afternoon, great work! I appreciate all the hard work and would love to help out with development anyway possible.
I did just notice that 'System settings -> About phone -> Mod version' is still listed as Alpha-4. I just wanted to check that I actually did flash Alpha 5 and it just didn't get the version updated. I double checked the zip files and made sure I flashed the right one (did it a second time to be sure), wiped data/cache, etc, but it still shows Alpha-4. Is this correct?
Thanks again, I will be following your ROM closely

Update: The ROM is working great for me. I have not tried bluetooth yet but shall. I am now running ALPHA 5, V6 Supercharged with APEX launcher. Just waiting for the HWA, Camera, and video fixes. :fingers-crossed: More tests to come.
Watching that ROM very closely.
I desperately need my email for work, so I had to downgrade to ICS for now; but I was loving Google Now and the progress made, and with using Chrome, I felt I could get along nicely. I look forward to testing out Alpha 5 this weekend (If its not 6 by then ). Also looking forward to seeing what PureMotive's is like. Exciting stuff!
Very handy work, Albinoman.
