I am running Synergy RC1 and at the end of every call I have that annoying beep. Is there a way to turn that off? I do not remember this in the other roms I had been running.
Thanks
Thought I'd give this a bump.
I think it's from your settings, go to "Settings" > "Call settings" > "All calls" > "Call status tones" and untick "Call end tone" (if ticked)

Thanks Sine, unfortunately Synergy doesn't have that option. I am thinking there is an .apk that needs edited.

is there any way to show we have a new SMS or MISSED CALL when display is OFF ?
If you go to start > settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications tab, and when you select "New Text Message" or "Missed Call" from the drop down menu then just tick the box "Flash Light for" and set a time limit. then when you have a missed call or a new text message you will get a flashing amber LED.
Hi Guys,
Any hack for the light near the ear speaker to show(blink) missed calls or new emails or sms?
thanks.
It's a standard function
Start > Settings > Sound > Advanced > Notifications tab > Select the thing you want a light to blink for... and there somewhere is a checkbox where you can let the light blink for a couple of minutes, or till you read it etc.
Start > Settings > Sound > Advanced > Notifications tab
NO ADVANCED i only have notifications and there i have
event
ring type
ring tone

But the options change depending on the Event
ie: Messaging: New text message
Play sound
Display message on screen
FLASH LIGHT FOR [Drop down Menu]
Vibrate
ok found it thanks
Is this happening with anyone else? It plays my notification sound for emails and texts with Gmail and voice but won't vibrate. Im using CM7 RC.
do you want kickback or just haptic feedback?
both work just fine..at least I would definitely notice if they werent.. and the only things Ive had issues with the entire palate of CM7 is some wifi or gps if you want kickback.. you may need to install that app as I am not sure if its built in cmsrc -- i always have it because well... its part of my own batch of apps.
go to Menu > Settings > Sounds > Vibrate > "Always"
This is set to "Never" by default in CM7.
Also notice the "Only when not in Silent mode" choice. I use this one because I obviously don't want silent mode to be vibrating. I noticed that when I select "Always" then go to a silent profile and back to regular, it will often rever my vibrate settings to "Never". I haven't noticed this using the "Only when not in Silent mode" selection.
Ok this is incredible annoying, i must have accidentally clicked "always" for using viber to dial out a contacts instead of using the "only once" button.
HOW the HELL do i change this back so it asks me again?!?!?!
nevermind figured it out.. "clear defaults" under apps/all/viber
Don't forget about this simple little gem. ??
That's the first thing I open.

incase people are wondering how to get developer options to show up
open your settings like the picture in the OP, tap "About device" scroll down to "build number" and tap it repeatedly until you see a toast message "developer options has been enabled". now when you back out of that screen to the previous, you'll see developer options.
while you're tapping on the build number, go ahead and tap on "android version" a few times also..
