Do we get that backup thing in the settings? Because I'm using CM7 and was wondering if that would work when we finally get it or not because the official will have Sense and this is stock.

Backup to Google's servers? If I remember correctly, this wasn't in our original rom (I haven't been stock in ~1 year). I don't know if they'll add it. Check out the Gingersense leak that rmk has posted and see if it has it there!

Is there an app to install this or upgrade the one that is on my phone already? I used a custom ROM and it was in there but then when I tried to find it I couldnt. Anyone got the apk for it? Is it even possible? Just curious.
I thought this was being pushed OTA already to 2.1 users. I've seen links to it, but Im in no hurry.
its packaged in a couple ROMs on the Epic ROM Wiki. I have it currently and I'm using AOSP Magic.

Hello everyone.
Well, I love Cyanogenmod, and a few weeks ago, I bought ROM Manager Premium, and decided to try out the nightly builds. I'm already up to Nightly 105 I think. They're not as unstable as I thought they would be.
I searched the CM7 Nightly thread for HTC Vision, and I found out a lot of people are having issues downgrading, mostly when they try to flash a ROM that's on 2.2 like Virtuous. Most of them are saying that the recovery says "Installation Aborted (bad)" or something?
Well, how can I downgrade from 2.3.4 without incurring any of these issues?
I'm just asking this in case I need to downgrade for whatever reason.
Changing to a froyo Rom from a gingerbread Rom is no longer an issue as long as you are using the latest recovery.

Really?
Then why is it that some people are reporting issues about these things?

To be honest I can't see why you would want to go back to 2.2 anyway. We have loads of good gingerbread roms, virtuous included. If you haven't all ready try virtuous unity, It's very stable for a first release.

From what I remember reading in the changelog of RM, that problem was fixed; remember though, it is recommended to do a full wipe when jumping between versions like that.

Hey all,
I have a stock 2.3.3 device and I was elated to see that there is now a root for it. My question: The main reason that I want (need) to Root is that 2.3.3 broke ActiveSync and I can no longer sync my calendar / email (hitting this like many others).
My point is, I'd like to go back to 2.2 but am honestly not sure if there is a way even if it's just using the base image. I'd like to go to a custom ROM but most of them are updating and until Google fixes 2.3.3, I want to stay Froyo.
Any thoughts?
Root and then flash a stock rooted rom of 2.2 i believe that's all u need to do

Anyone else have suggestions for a 2.2 based rom? I flashed Synergy but really need to be able to sync my corporate email.
Any 2.2 rims with sense 2.1+?

So I'm currently using rmk's 2.3.3 debloated stock ROM, and would like exactly the same thing for 2.3.4, which his Virtuous ROM doesn't appear to be. I am also seeing no downloads on the Virtuous website for just a debloated stock 2.3.4.
Anything like that exist yet? Apparently the OTA update will remove root.
Also waiting for a debloated stock 2.3.4

If there is a stock rooted 2.3.4, you can install that and manually debloat it yourself

I saw this thread, but it doesn't appear to be a whole ROM. Not sure exactly what to do with the files there.
I found RMK's thread on rootzwiki where he's updating the ROM I am using right now. Bookmarked it, now just have to wait

Check this Post for Rom Cleaner http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1050283 . it is under Desire HD section , But All mods i used for Desire HD work on my Incredible 2 ( Similar Devices )
Running a droid incredible with MIUI and dont like MIUI anymore. Why isnt virtuous rom on my rom manager anymore?
Its probably not supported anymore. You might want to check out the development section and see which roms are available that you could be interested in.
