Does anyone know if there's a way to make a backup of the already installed ROM?
And what I mean is a full backup, with all the settings and programmes installed, like Clockwork Mod or NANDroid.
It seems that none of them is available yet for Wildfire S.
Maybe there's something similar?

Not a ROM Backup, it has nothing to do like the ones I mentioned.

You got it in one. But you can backup everything with titanium backup free on the market

I would also recommend MyBackup Pro, i use the latest version (v2.3.4) and it works very well. It allows you to backup/restore not only Apps, but Data too (i.e. Contacts, Calendar, Alarms, Cal Log, Bookmarks, System Settings, SMS/MMS, Music Playlist, Dictionary, and Android Home [fixed in most recent version]) either to an online source or to the SD Card. Not only does Titanium backup need you to have root but it needs a working install of busybox as well.
I use Spritebackup, it backs up pretty much everything
Hi all
I am running the stock rooted froyo rom...i am also s-off and have installed a2sd+ and almost all my apps have been automatically shifted there....
My question is, if i wanna flash a new rom how can i retain those apps and its state (like lvl 2 in a certain game)...is there a way to backup and restore?

Titanium backup in the Market, there's a free and a paid version.
Free version backs it up just as the paid one.
The main difference in the paid version I noticed is when restoring, you don't have to click anything when batch restoring.
With free version you have to backup and restore every App manual.
If you have 100+ Apps, it will take a long time....

you can just click batch/backup all apps + system data. no need to click them all

Anyways am pretty desperate for an app pretty similar to titanium backup that doesn't require root access... As am sending phone back to repair and thinking about wiping phone before a do so ??? And can't be bothered installing all me apps when I get me phone back .....

I'm guessing you'd need root for that.. but I don't even remember what its like to not be rooted.
If you're talking about the sense launcher, I believe the preferences you're talking about are located in
/data/data/com.htc.launcher/shared_prefs/
Or.. labeled as [DESKTOP] ... in titanium (just fyi).

Using Amon-RA 2.3, nandroid backup, Evo 4G, Sorry pretty new to this.
Restore a backup ? Did you do a full wipe before you restored it. That might help. I forgot to once and a bunch of my apps were missing but I did a full wipe and then restored and it was fine

Its generally accepted that the smelkus mod recovery is the way to go for our evo. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661543
Ive never had a problem doing full restores with that. Some games need the data to be restored seperate via titianum backup I've found though.
Edit: Another thing may be that you made a nandroid before you installed gapps and such.

honestly bro for apps use go backup and restore its easier and more compatible for apps! yes APPS only lol. as long as you dont format the sd card youll be fine!

Still new to my SGN2. Just wondering how you guys restore all your apps after flashing new ROMS.
I use Titanium to backup all my Apps before flashing new ROM. But I find it very troublesome as I have to click on install each apps individually. Is there other method of restore all the apps at just one click?
