Hello i noticed that cm7 rc1v2 comes with 1ghz max clock speed at default. What are the possibilities of damage? How can I set it back to 800mhz max clock? maybe setcpu? thanks the answer!
Best Regards
Ernő
Recovery has o.c option.

i dont think it will damage anything..1Ghz is the max clock..it rarely goes to max..like wen u r playing a good graphics games or multi tasking and all..if u want u can underclock to 800Mhz also..
either use recovery overclock option or install setvsel and change the values.
recovery is when i put the volume down when the led lights blue?
edit: I found it but i dunno wich option is to set it to default 800 mhz anyone cold tell me what to do from step to step?
PLS Thank you!!!
Best regards.
Ernő

You can try the following
Turn off your phone and turn it back on
When you see the blue notification light, press the volume down button
Select CPU Settings (use volume up and down button to navigate, power button to select)
Select CLK3: [1000]
Keep pressing [-10 Clk3] till you see the desired speed (for eg. 800 Mhz )
Once done, Select Go Back and Reboot the system.

Using Villian 12 very good ROM live wallpapers work for a short time and then turn off back to default static background. Any idea why or if there is a patch for it ??
This is a question therefore is in the wrong forum!q&a next time please....
If you do not underclock or set the frequencies to chenge it works better, for example I have mine set at 710mhz all the time and it seems to stick longer
press menu button if u are in the home screen and select ->config ->tick livewallpapere-> have fun
Just wondering if anyone has figured out how to turn off the LED's for the softkeys... I'm using CyanogenMod 6.1.2 but will be moving on to CM7 when RC2 comes out if that helps.
###### Update with How To ######
This is for CM6 and CM7.
Steps:
1. Menu/Settings/CyanogenMod Settings/User Interface (Display for CM7) /Automatic backlight/
2. Check "Use Custom"
3. Click "Edit other levels..."
4. Under "Buttons" set the four values of "255" to "0"
5. Click "Save & apply"
Hope this helps...
#### EDIT ####
Using CyanogenMod 7, just realized as soon as you adjust the brightness the leds com on again... this is fixed by simply turning your screen off and on again.
indeed there is
should be under something like
Settings -> Cyanogenmod Settings -> Display -> Automatic Backlight -> Edit Other Levels
Then for "Buttons" just set anything that's 255 to 0.
SICK!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, for soon long I've been wondering how I could turn those off... just never thought to ask till now...
THANK YOU!!!!

No problem. I also tweaked those levels significantly downwards as the defaults were far too bright given the light level it was sensing.

Thanks so much...... was looking all over the internet for this tip
Glad to help.

I have a Vibrant
Just a big fat thank
I installed hydrog3n ics whch is much similar to cm9 on my sgs2 bt my touch key lights remained on all the tym...then i wasted some time....and at last , found yur thread which helped me solved my problem...again , a big fat fat than felaaaa:d
I've tried overclocking/undervolting (I'm not sure what the proper terminology is) using cpu master, no frills cpu control, and voltage control on everything from 100 min 1000 max to 400 min 1200 max on demand and I always get the same result: screen won't wake up after it sleeps for more than a few seconds and I have to pull battery to reboot. Is there some option that needs to be enabled to make this work again? Running SRF1.2

if you are using the latest voltage control from the market try this older version (uninstall yours first) http://devphone.org/files/epic4g/kernels/VoltageControl_3.0.apk
also here is the instructions from my kernel thread but the same thing should apply
Easy Overclock/Undervolt Method:
Setting up your frequencies:
Required software: Voltage Control by xan http://devphone.org/files/epic4g/kernels/VoltageControl_3.0.apk
1. Backup your device in ClockworkMod and flash the kernel. If you get messed up or confused just reboot your device to undo the changes.
2. After flashing the kernel, uninstall SetCPU and install Voltage Control (VC).
3. Open VC and hit 'States' at the bottom to open the States drawer.
4. Enable your desired frequencies and hit the menu button and 'Apply for now' (DO NOT 'Save as boot settings')
5. Hit 'States' to retract the States drawer.
6. Leave the Scheduler as 'cfq' and change Limit clock to your desired max frequency.
7. Hit the menu button and 'Apply for now' (DO NOT 'Save as boot settings' unless you are 110% sure the settings are stable and you have adequately tested)
Setting up your personal undervolt settings: (Caution: When figuring out your maximum undervolt settings there is a good chance you will get some data corruption so make sure your backup in ClockworkMod is up to date)
1. Open VC and select the desired frequency you wish to undervolt.
2. The green slider goes in increments of -25mV so select that first and take note of the frequency and value. (It is important when testing that you reduce the voltage ONE step at a time)
3. Hit the menu button and 'Apply for now'
4. Test the device's stability THOROUGHLY before you move the slider down any further. See the FAQ below for tips on testing stability.
5. If you feel it is stable then repeat this process and move the slider down one step, write it down, and THOROUGHLY test.
6. When your device freezes or starts acting weird then you know that value is too much and you should use your previously stable value.
Repeat this process for each of the other frequencies you wish to undervolt. When you feel you have the stable values that you are comfortable with, open VC and apply your stable values and THOROUGHLY test your device again. After you do all of this, make sure you are 110% certain of the stability before you 'Save as boot settings' and remember you may need to restore your ClockworkMod backup before setting up your final values to ensure no data corruption.

Hi
I have installed viper x and now i have some questions:
1 I want to increase overall screen brightness. which of the sliders in the tweaks do i have to use?
2 i've set custom lockscreen apps for the sense lockscreen but they're not shown. Must the sense ui be installed to use this? I have an installation without sense ui.
3 i have selected the option "vibrate mode" for my horizontal quick settings but it is also not shown. Anyone who knows this problem?
4 can i set a volume key as trigger for the sense camera app?
Maybe some of you can help me. Thank you very much.

1) if you have set the screen brightness in settings to 100% then i don't think there is anything else you can do to make it brighter.
2) you need sense installed
3) open venom tweaks > status > Hide n Reorder
check that there is not a red X next to vibrate mode.
4) OneXed Camera Mod-V3.0

Thank you for your fast reply!
1) I don´t want to set a fix brightness, I thought I could make the auto-brightness a little bit higher by changing one or some values in the tweaks-screen i have attached as picture. Is that possible?
2) ok, can I add sense ui by installing the rom again without wiping the phone? Will I loose all my settings then?
3) there is no red x, I´ve already checked that. But something funny happened: I checked it again, marked it red, unmarked it, changed the order of the settings and now it is there. But now the Wifi-Hotspot-Setting is not shown (the last and 7th setting in my list). Maybe I can´t set more than 6 settings?
4)Thank you, I will try that one.
And one thing i have forgotten before:
5) Can I download new custom font packs anywhere? Or better, can I create own font packs from a TTF and how does it work?
Greetings

1) venom tweaks > Misc > auto backlight brightness.
2) if you install without a full wipe it should all be saved.
3) icons are on a scroll, just swipe from right to left on the tweak icons.
4) welcome
5) you can from venom hub, i believe ADW icons are also compatible. i dont know about TTF, sure someone on here knows.

Ok, I came into recovery. Works again.
I kept holding power an volume down all the time and didn´t release power when the screen was black.

1) Yes, there I found the screen I hab attached. But what now? Increase all the sliders a little bit?
2) That led into a bootloop again, don´t know why. But now I know how to handle that  . I will do a full re-install with sense ui next days.
3) Ok, i found it. Thanks for that
4) Works perfectly :good: !
5) There are only 10 fonts. I can´t find a possibility to download or add more. If there is none, I will use the app "font changer". That works, but some fonts aren´t changed then...

I have a new question about Viper X:
I always have Google Maps in my battery-statistics consuming a lot of power even if i didn´t use it. A friend told me that somtimes Maps makes trouble when it is installed as a system-app. So when I did the new installation of Viper X I didn´t install Maps as system. I loaded it from Play Store and switched Latitude off. But its still there.
Anyone who knows about it?

Hi I just updated my Xperia Play to CM10 Zeus FXP226 Rom + Lupus Zeus v13 Kernel and it's working great. The only problem is that even though the device is definitely rooted I can't seem to change any of the settings in SetCPU. I use the slider to choose a new min/max and governor/scheduler but it doesn't change the current settings text underneath where it shows the current cpu speed. I have tried selecting 'Set On Boot' and rebooting and it saves my selection but the text under current cpu speed still states I'm on default settings. I have never had this problem before.. Please help.

You can use lupus menu to do it it 100% sticks there. Or try nofrills.
setcpu does not work correctly in cm9+
