because i can't use my dinc2 for more than a day, i would like to try a bigger battery so i do that....
i bought this battery
http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200613673603&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
before buying I asked the seller if it is really 1930mah and he say yes,
arrived, charged and used 3 times...
i feel really upsetted, the battery is not enought big to hold the charge for a day!
so i try to charge the original one and that one with my triton2 li-po charger....
surprise... the orignal hold a charge of about 1300mah after 20 and more charges, the new one (1930mah claimed and max 10 charge) not goes over 950mah.... it's a fake! don't buy!
i will try other batteries and let you know....
p.s. with this battery the inc2 says that there is battery problem with a battery icon with a "!" on the home screen...
Thanks for the info. I have been searching for a stock sized battery for more juice but am kinda assuming HTC is going to put the best they can in their phone and that everything I see around the 1800 or 1900 mark is a fake. I know Seido makes a 1750 that is $40 which might be alright though. Anyone, keep on reviewing if you try something.
;-)
i'm almost ready to buy that ....
http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220648053953&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
when they will arrive i will make the same try and let you know....
As I mentioned in another thread discussing something similar, I'll be trying out one of these soon:
http://www.amazon.com/CHICHITEC-Battery-Verizon-Incredible-myTouch/dp/B0055EP2CW/ref=pd_cp_e_3
I'll report back with results.
I'm not sure why I didn't originally post this here since I have an Incredible 2 but the Mugen Power 3600mAh battery works really well for me. I go 35-50 hours on one charge depending on usage. The most I went with minimal use was 57. I wrote a review of it later in this thread

I don't understand how you guys can use non- HTC products..
I got the chichitec from ebay but they didn't fit..

The 1900? This is sad news but thanks for posting.
yeah.. don't allow the door to fully close. almost, but not completely.
Was it actually a chichitec battery? I'm getting the impression based on info from them that they have a problem with knockoffs emulating their products that aren't to their specs. I bought mine direct from chichitec on Amazon and should get it today or tomorrow so I'll see if it fits as advertised.
can't seem to post pics here without uploading to another site, but i took a pic of them you can see them here, pretty sure they are the real thing.
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...80919-battery-life-thread-16.html#post1092773
Someone else posted about a similar experience so now I'm curious how mine will be. Maybe I can get away with a slight case modification...if needed...we'll see when I get it.
if you do figure out some sort of case mod, please post back, it would be nice to be able to use these batteries.
It sounds like the gap left is very minor. I have a dremel tool that should make quick work of the case without destroying it...hopefully.
Just in case...can replacement back covers be purchased?
yeah i'm pretty sure verizon sells them for like $20-25
and yeah, the gap is really quite small, but still defintiely there.
I'm looking at the back cover now to see what tolerances I have to work with. I don't think it would be possible. I was hoping maybe there might be some minor support bars or something to grind out, but there is actually a battery indention in the cover already. That area of the cover is already quite thin.
We'll see when I get the battery. If it comes down to it I will try to contact the company or something. If it doesn't fit properly, it's not as advertised

Hey all!
I was looking for extended batteries for my Samsung Vibrant and I stumbled accross this awesome battery auction.
Now don't get TOO excited. This is just a $6 off of the final price of the battery. The battery itself is NOT out yet (will be VERY VERY soon) so he is just selling a $6 off of the price for $1. I talked with the seller and I got the specs for the battery.
Type: Lithiun-ion Polymer Battery, 3.7V
Size: 10mm thickness (1cm). Original battery is 6mm (0.6cm) thick so this is not TOO much fatter.
Capacity: 2800mah
Retail price (without coupon): $36
PRICE INCLUDES A BLACK BACK DOOR.
It is currently in production in manufacturing and should be out on the market very soon. If you're interested in the $6 coupon off the $36, click here.
Man I cannot wait. This is my only complaint with the vibrant as it stands!

I wonder if the new battery door will make the back flush by eliminating the small hump at the bottom of the phone? I love when Ebay is a source of new products. Who makes the beast?
Not sure on manufacturer yet but should be clear soon enough.
hmm... hard to put money down on an item that you don't even know how it looks like
they really need to post some pics of the item along with how the back sits
You guys just need to install juice defender. I can go 36 hours with moderate use without having to charge.

+1 on Juice Defender
Here's a screenshot of my battery life in the last 36 hours. I still have 9% remaining, so keep in mind that I can get 2+ hours.
what settings are you using to get that?
Man that app is really kinda confusing to figure out. I mean you can by tinkering, but wow.
Dang man, I installed juice defender and it EFFED my phone! It became so laggy that I couldn't really use it at all it took me a full 15 minutes just to get into the app manager to uninstall it...
Not sure what else you may have done to your phone but I have Juice Defender (Ultimate) on my Vibrant and my Wife's Slide and it works great. Since I get a lot of mail, text, and IM's I still can't go a full day but I am getting about double the battery life I had before I started using it.
Dont know if i would be comfortable with a thicker phone... an extra 5MM or so is rather thick. and i wouldnt be able to put it in my nice case that just came in the mail.
I got a car charger and USB cable for my desk at work and i just charge it as i need it. Mostly since im new to android and always playing with the damn thing is the reason i run low.
Another vote for Juice Defender/Ultimate Juice. On the weekends, my phone lasts over 30 hours with moderate use. During the week at work is somewhat of a different story. Running BT, music, and having to deal with poor service inside (phone constantly going in and out of service), I'm still able to get about 12-14 hours.
Overall a great app though.
As far as a thicker battery.....meh. Would definitely have to see the size difference first. And if it still fit in a case.
I think that battery is BS. It wouldnt fit in the phone.
Besides the weight you'll also have trouble finding a case to hold it.
I'm going the route of constructing a back-up battery using 4 AA rechargeable batteries NiMH (4x 1.2V = 5V, with 2800mAh AAs).
Got one of these with leads, on/off switch and cover. You can also get a squarish holder if you don't like the side-by-side layout.
I'll solder it to a mini USB cable, then use a mini to micro converter so that I can also charge mini USB phones. Parts ~$5 in parts.
If you want a fully assembled 4x AA one you can buy it here and here. They also have 1x AA and 2x AA versions, but I don't know how well those work.
Found this 2400mAh battery for the Vibrant here. Price is $59 and the picture doesn't look like the actual product.
I was thinking about gettin a bigger battery but then i found 2x BATTERY+dock CHARGER FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S Vibrant # on ebay for 10$ and i thought i could just throw a spare battery in my pocket just in case my phone run out.
But..Are theses batteries as good and reliable as original one or the ones that phone store sell? Have you guys experienced any battery that sell for that low cost?
How about this one?

5mm doesn't really seem like much until you actually see that video... Jesus, what a clunker
Sent from my Vibrant
I was recently given the opportunity to trial the Mugen Power 4500mAh battery. Ironically, the opportunity came up just was I was planning on flying cross country with my family, so I thought it would be an ideal time to test it out.
First things first, yes, it is big. Large. Huge. Yes, it is not “pretty” by any means and it takes away from the sleekness of the Thunderbolt. That is the only negative thing I can say.
The first day I turned it on at 2:00 AM Pacific time and it was NEVER turned off until 7:04 PM Pacific time. When I shut the phone off, it still had 50% of power left. Yes, you read that right, 50%. If you doubt my usage for the day, it was as follows:
I have four email accounts (one corporate account that uses Touchdown and three personal email addresses) that I monitor constantly. I am a heavy Facebook user as well. I also used Google Navigation to get to the airport (over an hour away from my house) and the same program to get to our destination on the east coast (one hour and 45 minutes away from the airport.). While on the plane I had it in airplane mode. It was used heavily by my children and I for games, etc. throughout the 5 hour flight. I was frankly amazed that it had that much power left after that full day. I NEVER plugged it in once during the trip.
I then switched over to the standard battery during our week on the east coast. I went through TWO standard batteries a day (EASILY) while using navigation, etc. I was lucky to make it through the entire day with those two batteries. There was a part of me that was longing for my “monster” to be put back on!
I used the Mugen battery again for the trip home. Reverse all of the previous information (Navigation, Airplane Mode for 5 ½ hours, MORE games and customization while in flight, etc.) and this time you can add in Mobile Hotspot and WiFi use once I was home. From 3:00 AM Pacific to 9 PM Pacific, I had 44% of the battery left. Again, I never plugged it in once.
Look, it is not pretty. It is big. It is beautiful though if you are on the road, on an airplane, on a long trip and/or are a power user and you don’t want to worry about plugging in, changing batteries, etc. This battery is now going to be readily available whenever I need that extra time or push from my Thunderbolt. Simply put, call it Beauty and the Beast. Check out Mugen Power Batteries on the web for more.
Nice review
post some pics and if its not bigger than the htc extended im down

Its Fugly lol
That thing is freaking huge.
that's what she said
Why couldn't they just make the case like the 3500 it just looks stupid that way. That's pretty much the only reason I don't wanna buy it and the $100 price tag. They sell two 3500 and to covers along with a wall charger on eBay. For like $35 that sounds like a lot better deal.
That thing's $100? For $80, you can get a 16Ah (16000mAh) external battery on Amazon. It doesn't decrease the sleekness of the phone and will fit in a cargo pocket (and maybe even a fairly large hip pocket). That way, it still works when you switch phones. It has 5 USB ports, so you can charge lots of stuff. (No, not advertising, just demonstrating realistic specs. I know there are comparable models, this one is just the biggest one I found).

That thing would definitely give you the juice you need but, dang! That is just about ugly lol. I mean if you need that much battery it would be perfect though. If you don't want that much bulk there are several other options you could go with. I saw on Amazon where you can get 2 1400 mah batteries and a wall charger for the batteries for $20! All the reviews seemed positive too. Just another option I guess.

are you the seller of that 2 slim combo or something?... i keep seeing people posting that package all over this forum.
if you even click on this thread thats a good indication that a high mAh battery is what you want and need.
hell, i have 4 1500mAh & 1 1600mAh battery that didnt cut it for me. before i knew it, a battery was dying and had to go through the bother of powering down, opening up, replacing, powering back up.... and in no time repeat.
im using an extended right now and plan to never use the slims again. hell, i should sell all of mine.

i doubt there will be a case for this unless Mugen themselves make it. there r cases for the regular extended battery cuz the battery is common n a lot of people have it. i doubt many people would have this huge thing so probably no cases will ever be released unless its by Mugen or a Mugen partner
One thing I always mention when defending my extended battery is the thickness-battery life trade-off and how, at the size of the HTC extended battery, it is worth the bulk for the change in battery life. I don't think i would be able to say the same for this. If I ever had to slap something that big on my Bolt it would have to last a week

You'll probably be pleased with the increased battery life. I was. I wasn't too concerned about the bulge in back, although I did have to cut a square hole in my Body Glove case to make it work.
i would love one of them as well , however i use the otterbox defendr series , so i dont thik it would fit this case at all.
I've been using it for a few days and I've noticed no difference at all! It shipped with 67% battery so I ignored the 12 hour initialize it advised but I've kept my phone charging for a straight 12 hours all day without using it and when I unplugged (it read 100%) it dropped to 82%! I was surprised I check my emails and go on facebook for 10 minutes over Wi-Fi I check my phone battery and its at 79%! Thats the same as it was before I've heard reviews saying theirs stayed at 100% for 2+ hours, is there anything wrong with my battery ?
I'm not sure this would be the problem but I have seen some apps around for recalibrating batteries, maybe the battery needs to be calibrated? Also you may have a bunch of programs that you are unaware of running in the backround advanced task killer should help with that.
I bought one of these batteries. Mine worked great after recalibrating the battery stats. I ended up buying one of the wall chargers with an extra regular battery. I like the sleek vs the bulky look more. I don't even use that extended battery any more.

It worked great...how did it compare to yoru standard? 16 hours vs 10; 48 vs 24?
I'm considering one for the occasion I want to have a long life, but it seems I've read of people who say they didn't make much difference. That of course may be because of not calibrating.
[edit]
Also, there are several different onces on ebay. From what I read, there are some batteries that are not what they advertise, but some things I read are that at least some of the 3500s on ebay are pretty good. Not sure which one that is.

been waiting for something like this
but with 3000mAh or more,
Im sure there will be more soon
I have similar but for my Note & better
cos mine is slimmer & doesnt have that Snap top
so can pull it out faster & is slim on the top
& it claims 3000mAh battery on it
but gives me only 70% of refill charge
Note has 2500 & case 3000 still doesnt give one full charge
yours has 2200mAh battery & S3 has 2100mAh on it
wonder how much more juice it will give
Also the lights on bottom get anoying aftre a while
wish it was behind the case
True that, but might get one anyway, as I also have an external power pack and a replaceable battery.
But never thought of those things, thanks for the input
Edit:
thought what the heck and bought one, doesn't exactly cost much. When I get it ( in about two weeks! ) I'll do a little review on it like how much of the battery it can charge etc.
Was thinking about the capacity but I wouldn't want anything much bigger than that tbh

then charge it with Power case

I'll never understand why people go this route instead of just carrying a spare battery. It makes your phone look like the hunchback of notre dame.

nice one
Recieved one on the 2200mAh cases yesterday (Power Bank).
(link: h**p://***.ebay.co.uk/itm/2200mAh-Backup-Battery-Charger-Power-Bank-Case-Cover-For-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-I9300-/280916343518?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4167eb3ade)
Charged it up (came about 2/3 full) and then let my S3 run down to flat (quite hard now I'm getting 20 to 22 hours out of it).
Started charging and it got to about 50% in 3 hours before it ran out..
Considering the phone was on and, based on previous discharge rates, was using about 5% an hour, the total charge was about 65% (if i'm being generous).
65% of an S3 battery @ 2100mAh = 1365mAh.....
Not too bothered at the cost (or size - S3 is way too thin as standard for my liking), but was hoping for a lot more from it..... For the bulk it adds, and the fact that you can't sync or charge the phone while the case is on, is a big negative for me....
Maybe my hopes were too high having come from iPhone battery cases which almost lived up to their advertised power ratings as well as allowing you to charge case & phone at the same time and sync through the case....
Just thought I'd share my findings...
Hope it helps others looking for a similar case.
I like the heftier size of the phone after fitting the extended battery, fits my hands much better. I hope that they come up with a flipcase though because obviously the original won't fit anymore. I don't understand people who just buy a case for the back because you can buy another back very easily. The front however is a different question. If you don't protect the glass, it will scratch and can even shatter when you drop the phone.
As often as I am checking/using my phone, it's not worth it to me to get a flip case. I would go mad having to flip it open countless times an hour. A good back case will also (albeit slightly) protect the front

Any reviews from xda user about TVC mall Mobile charger?
I just ordered a stock battery for $3.99 from ebay link. Looks real but maybe just a good looking fake, thought I would share with you guys anyway. What do you guys think?
It say's "Unbranded/Generic". Most of the time, if it's too good to be true.. then it is. The consensus with cheap generic batteries on ebay is that they work great for a few weeks, then the capacity quickly goes down. For the price, let us know how it works!
Shipping from Hong Kong/China, guaranteed to always be a fake. Stick to buying from sellers who ship from within the USA.
Yeah I noticed the unbranded generic but that's just the eBay description and some people don't fill that field out. They did say the item pictured is accurate or something like that so I figured why not. The battery that came with my phone was a finished in China battery so I know they make them there and I've been buying stuff from China or Hong Kong for over 10 years with mostly good luck. Either way for that price if it works I'm good with it.
well i contacted a bunch of em about those batteries
and few chose to say generic other said copies
but was impressed ( despite knowing ) that none claimed its original.
they are dirt cheap if can last for 3 or 4 months with reasonable backup then no harm .
otherwise try and search for andida slim 2300 battery
heard good things about it - provided you get a genuine andida and not a fake.
all the best.

Did you get them? Does it work well? What kind of battery life are you getting out of them? Better than stock?
Yes I ordered last week when I posted this thread but it has not arrived yet. The seller marked shipped the next day but stuff from China usually takes 2 weeks to arrive. I will take some comparison pics with my stock battery when it arrives then post some results after a few cycles of use.
It came in today, definitely a fake. They did a terrible job applying the sticker too. See attached pics knockoff battery on left, stock on right
Put in phone and working fine so far. Came charged to 66% like other batteries I bought in the past. Will update again after using a few times.
Initial run not bad from 66 down to 2% 2hr 43min screen time and 8+ hours uptime. This is exactly what I would expect from my stock battery. I'm charging now in my external charger and I will run a few days and see where it goes. Hopefully the initial cycle was not a fluke.
After a few runs this is a decent battery. The life span seems to be just less than my stock battery and it does not run hot or anything. I suspect its just a generic 1800mah battery. I wonder why they felt it necessary to use the fake labeling?
Is the battery still working good? I just ordered one on ebay.. My battery looks like it's about to burst. The back cover won't even go on right lol.
Yeah its been in rotation for a few weeks now and no issues yet. It still seems to get slightly less battery life than stock. No complaints for $4. You may want to replace that bulging battery sooner though. This one shipped fast but still took about 10 days to arrive.

I think it started swelling because of my friends horrible charger. I crashed at his house and was forced to charge my phone on his charger. It looked so cheap and felt really light but it was charging. I woke up the next day and my phone was dead. I powered it on and it was 15 percent battery and the screen blinked then died.
Ever since then I have had nothing but problems with the battery.. so that has to be the culprit .
It's been 8 days so far and it said it just arrived in CHICAGO, IL. I'll be on my n7 until it arives!
